hmm....the white sapote tree is really quite hardy in cooler climates, up here on the central plateau it does well, but the flesh is too sweet and if you overeat this fruit it makes you very drowsy,...better the black sapote and if it grows well in morelia(high altitude, cooler climate, i'm sure it will grow just as well here,..only thing no tree starts here, only the seeds and not much info' on how to germinate them, how about you John, ya heard of the black sapote?*****
I have a huge (60 year old) Pineapple Guava and I live in the Bay Area. I eat as much as I can but end up composting most of the fruit. If you live near Lafayette and its the end of summer hit me up!
