We’ll come back to this in a few years time and it’ll be iconic
brillant song and best performance i have seen of it
@@jamiemurphy7125 a few years on, it's iconic
2024. It’s happening.
Greatest band around.
These lads should do a cover of Fairytale of New York. I think he has that monotone type of voice like Shane McGowan.
great song, great performance, great lads...slainte. :)
i fucking love these gents with all my heart
Me too mate. Very special band.😎
a band that sang a song called "battles" introduced me to these fellas , thanks to you Mike the pies for letting me hear them both.
Fantastic voice on the lad! Now if we could just get him to smile!
When you have a face like that you don't have to smile. Amazingly photogenic.
@@cathalmacsiurdain7762 Guess that means handsome. Great when I get an intelligent reply to a comment, makes me listen again. No reason to smile in this video, yep. What a fantastic song and voice!
Shabby clothes, Guinness, poetry. AH!
I drank a canned Guinness few days ago and it is definitely the worst beer I have ever drunk. I hope they get it better in U.K.
God I'm having flash backs to Roches pub in the late 80s.
Hope to hear this one at the Tivoli in November.
Grian is so quiet, sitting...love it :D
See you guy‘s in November!
Can‘t wait:)
what chords is he playing? what a fucking tune
Through the mire I see a light
god this is so good
That guild sounds sweet.
Paaaarful
Oh Yes.
Happy mondays
I'm just getting into these. Can't stop listening to Jackie down the line, and this song is nice. Do they have many more melodic, tuneful ones? I'm not really into that post punk, The Fall kind of just shouting to thrashing guitars. That's why I'd avoided them thus far cos those were the only type of tunes I'd heard, but would really appreciate if anyone could let me know if there's any more with a bit more of a tune.
sunny, oh such a spring, Roys Tune, No
@@arlocooper3384 Also the b-side from the Too Real single is a fantastic, if short tune
Try Favourite from the new album
'In The Modern World' is beautiful. An immense song. ❤️
Shit, that's not FDC...it's The Dubliners in O' Donaghues in the 70s. Love it. But I#m angry because I'm still waiting for the second record after fucking up the pre-ordering process. P.S. It can get lonely here in Europe.
Happy mon
Like the men who drank the brown.
My ovaries
mgmegt got me too 😂😂😂😅
and garageflower was right!!
Dodgy pint on the right
Great band. Also the least punk thing in the fucking world is endless opinions by what appear to be twelve year olds on what punk is and isn’t...
like the band but they aren't punk as sometimes they are being described as
Not every song needs to be a 2 minute smasher to be a punk band.
@@Shambles_44 i'm sure as hell not going to get into an arguement about what defines punk on here🤣🤣🤣
@@peterharman1370 This is just a Unplugged they done for us before a gig, see them live, what ever it is they have it!!
@@pixieskingdom7882 just watched them on jimmy fallon show,,i'll be hanging onto their singles.....😂😂😂
@@peterharman1370 The look he gives jimmy fallon, just at the start. They are gold for some people maybe many, who since the roses or the man c too?
Guitarist needs to close his mouth when playing. Drives me nuts
Lol… weird take
@@maryburke5423I think he was being sarcastic
what was the point in having a 3rd pint of Guinness on table? Oh i know....cuz it will look cool and add to the irishness of this amateurish video / song
Probably lined up for Carlos while Grian is leathering into his.. nice cosy feel to the footage, suits the aul ballad.
It was my pint, I recorded it on a bad camera, we all have our cross to bear
yes, leaving a pint like that untouched for over 5 minutes is criminal. How better would your moment have been if you were watching this live while sippin on that fresh lovely pint. Thats a moment you wont get back. Whats worse, is the fact you purposely left the pint there to add to the video. Nice work at 4:20 haha
@@franzbeck3177 Well they had just played a gig downstairs and I had good few points in me at the time as you do, the boys were sound, going to see them in Dublin Sunday night and they play at Mike The Pies the week after that, its where this video was taken, 100 people full house some craic, no video this time a bottle of bucky more like and a few Guinness,
great craic
