Everything about this is perfect...That it is in black and white. That almost everybody is wearing those old school glasses. That the saxophone player has a slightly receding hairline, which makes him look like a professor. That the drummer looks really mild-mannered, but is an absolute beast. That Dave likes to watch each guy when they solo...
My main men Mojo and Uncle Ted! Four is a quartet. This classic came from Brubeck's seminal album "Time Out", which featured songs in odd time signatures. For instance,"Take Five" is in 5/4 time. You're correct about the samples and covers. Chet Atkins, legendary Nashville guitarist/songwriter/producer, did a cover of this as well. Thanks for this, as always look forward to more great music, and just a reminder my next joint is "My Morning Song" by the Black Crowes (preferably the straight audio track). Until next time, stay groovy!
I`m so sorry that I got only one thumb to give - I like the old jazz and blues music especially on vinyl records (so you can see it on my avatar) all the best for you and of course @all from hamburg (germany)

They look like accountants, haha.
Quartet is 4. The song is in 5/4 time, an odd time signature. Paul Desmond is on sax, Brubeck is on piano.

they talked to each other through one of the most iconic drum solos of all time.. so silly
I believe all the band members to be college trained musicians, studying theory and such, and bringing a type of science to this music.
do u see how pianist is SO focused saxophone player for interplay
i just realized how the piano sounds so similar to ray manzarek solos
Y'all just talkin through it lol
Why are you talking over the music? We can't hear what you are saying, so it's totally irrelevant!
Indeed
We will do better
Thank you!
