I used a 1/2" hole then below that. drilled a 3/4" hole, cut the small edges out with a jig saw. That way your bottom hole fits over the striker. Then it slides up to the top hole. That is smaller than the end of the striker.
That was great!! I was shopping the DG Support Bars and about choked when I saw 2 pieces of steel for $100.00. When I make mine, I'll be using cotter pins for quick release/resize
Thanks, it is so overpriced to buy them. Mine are fairly over designed just because it was during covid and I had nothing better to do. So easy to make simple ones vs paying
