It is bittersweet. We have lost both Tony Todd and Richard Hatch since the inception of Axanar. I truly hope that this will finally come to fruition before we lose any more great people.
When Axanar and the cast were at Space City Con in Houston in 2014 to show off Axanar for one of the first times, I had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Todd. I mentioned to him that I was in a job I hated, but had an interview coming up for a new job that following week. He sat me down and spent the next 20 - 30 min giving me a mock interview and providing positive feedback & constructive criticisms to my answers. I firmly believe I got that job and a few others after that, directly because of the time he took to mentor me in a small way. He was a prince of a man. He lived long and prospered, but now the residents of Sto-vo-kor should beware. For a true Klingon Warrior is arriving.
Fantastic work, I can't wait to see it! This is what you get when it's made by people who love and respect the original. You guys are making real Star Trek the way it was meant to be!
I am sitting on pins and needles with anticipation. I have followed Axanar and the project for years now. My heart just skipped a beat when you said working on a Orville fan film. I look forward to that smash success. Again thank you all for your tireless dedication and hard work.
Seeing clips of Gary Graham and Richard Hatch make me feel sad........ And old..... But I love that you have maintained the original canon of Star Trek and I'm eagerly looking forward to your product.
Wow!!! Many thanks, Alec, for this update! As a filmmaker myself, I totally appreciate the time it takes to refine a work to perfection, so I'm not bothered by the time it's taking you guys. The extraordinary quality you guys achieve makes the wait totally worthwhile, and these updates really help to tide me over! Thanks again!
I will say - solid development here! What has happened so far is directly encouraging! You are certainly on par with Picard Season 3 - and that's as good as I can be with it! I look forward to seeing all of it. I remain pragmatically on path with you.
God, I'm looking forward to this. What a long, complicated, aggravating but hopefully rewarding labor of love. And yeah, I still want my Ares-class for STO but that's the little boy in me going 'skweee'.
10 years after sending in my pledge, based on that awesome initial video, I just wanna see the whole thing. Who new there was so very much involved? Sending positivity to the team, I can't wait to see the final product, it's going to be awesome!
Can't wait for this, much appreciation for the passion, effort and coordination to let and make this happen. I hope this is a guiding light to others that now anyone can make blockbuster movies and series. Well done.
Thanks for all the down-to-Earth nerdly little details and big reveal under the hood - and your dedication. Or maybe it's obsession... but happy to hear Post is in full swing.
I've been wondering what might have happened to the Aries Class in peace time. My capacity for head canon rabbit holes being our of control. I was thinking a similar profile to the nebula class is possible, there's room for a pod on the dorsal secondary hull. Maybe it would be sent out to explore/chart areas known to be a bit dodgy. It would be a shame if they were just retired.
I have seen your movies and I love them. I will say this Paramount Studios and Cvs really need to stop with this nonsense and everything else instead of suing and causing aggravation. How about they should be talking to you people and getting you to work with them then maybe they might actually be able to do really good. Star Trek shows again, and maybe some good movies, of course that’s my opinion
@@harveywittii9323 I was going to ask what CVS had to do with this, but you never know. Why don’t you just edit your original comment and change it to CBS?
8 years. . .8 years of hell has brought us to this point. CBS lost their autonomy after plagiarizing an indy game, and Paramount is begging for help after official Trek killed a company and is marching another down the road to destruction. Meanwhile, Axanar is breathing and walking down hill with a gleam in their eye and a song in their heart. The difference between love and greed, teaching and messaging, passion and complacency are on full display. Live long and prosper Axanar. Just hurry up and bring hope to us all again. . .
Love this whole thing! Been following from the beginning. Just want to know when the complete show might be available to obtain. Really want a hard copy on my shelf next to the rest of the saga along with Vic Mignona's series and so on. This is a great exploration of the missing chapter between Enterprise and Discovery/Strange New Worlds. I initially had a problem with Alex as Garth because of no resemblance to Steve Ihnat, but we can postulate that his time on the planet of shape shifters, who imparted that ability upon him, means the Steve look is just one he chose to affect at that time, for whatever personal reason. No reflection on Mr. Ihnat, who played the character marvelously. It's great to finally have his story told. Would also be great to see a postscript about Garth after his treatment at the rehab facility, supposedly having cured his psychosis and returned him to himself, where he shakes Kirk's hand at the end of that episode. (Obviously using a modified version of the Tantalus device seen in Dagger of the Mind for his treatment.) Not to be confused with the Tantalus device in Mirror, Mirror; a whole different animule! Anyway, can't wait to see the finished product, with all the great, familiar actors and the new ones, and a heartfelt tip of the hat to those we lost. Followed Richard Hatch's career from All My Children on up, for example. Wish the hell we could've seen his version of the Galactica sequel! His extended promo trailer was very much in the vein your "Prelude" film, only for the Galactica franchise. That show would've been awesome! No Felgercarb! Well Alex, keep it coming, and have a better one!
All of your hard work will pay off! The story of Axanar is the greatest one never told in Star Trek history, it is long overdue, as is the saga of Captain Garth.
