I just finished reading your writing on topic " What is Biblical Stewardship?" I think this peice of your writing is one of the finest Christian literature I have ever came across which is needed by this generation to understand 😊 especially when we are facing climate crisis, environmental stress and economic downfalls May God bless you.. “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.” 1 Corinthians 10:16-17
I am not sure what your point is. But to add context to this versus you quote: Therefore, my beloved, flee from IDOLATRY. (1 Cor 10:14, NASB) 17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread. [Clearly this is symbolically! It means we are united in purpose. Not physical! No transubstantiation! if one dies, all do not die! For by taking it together we show are on the same team. Just as in Baptism we demonstrate we are Christians who are now identifying as having died to the old self and rising again in Christ Jesus.] 18 Look at the nation Israel; are not those who eat the sacrifices SHARERS in the altar? (1 Cor 10:17, NASB) The Lord's supper is a way we remind ourselves of His sacrifice and we share in that forgiveness of sins. We repented, believed, made him Lord and now have been Adopted and become children of God, one Body. Just as in marriage a man and a woman become One. It is a symbol and an attitude of the heart. Not a physical change!! Zweigly and others are correct. I was raised Catholic and now find their teaching nonsense after studying scripture by the power of the Holy Spirit
Heavenly Father's warning to those Catholics who left the Church (from 10/23/2007 message in 'God speaks will you listen'): "My Catholic children, you have been given the Complete Truth. Do not reject your Catholic faith, for you will be held to the highest standard on the Day of Judgment. Read soberly II Peter 2:20-21: "For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that Holy Commandment which was delivered to them." Now read Hebrews 10:29-31: "How much more, do you think he deserves worse punishments, who has trodden underfoot the Son of God, and has esteemed the Blood of the Testament unclean, by which he was sanctified, and has offered an affront to the Spirit of Grace? For we know him that has said: Vengeance belongs to Me, and I will repay. And again: The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
Do not think these words are only written to the clergy and the religious orders. These words are written to all those who have taken the bows of Baptism, Confirmation, and who have made Consecrations to My Daughter Mary and My Son Jesus Christ. Your vows have set you apart from the world and you are My New Children of Israel. If you reject your vows to your Father and you refuse to repent, there is not a hot enough place in Hell for you. For you have tasted of My Goodness, received My Mercy and Graces, and have the Holy Trinity residing in your soul. Do not reject so great a salvation. I repeat Myself a final time: Trust in the Lord God Almighty completely, live your vows and promises to your Lord and Savior, and enter into My rest on My 7th day (Rev 20:4-6) and eternally on the 8th day. These words are from God Almighty to those who have ears to hear. Amen."
As a Roman Catholic I do love this man! I thought he was very respectful to our belief as well as historically correct! Interesting and sad that Christian’s have not 100% United to make our world better and more holy, against the forces of evil…. JN 17 comes to mind about Unity!
“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11
We are NEVER "made devine" - only GOD is devine. Please don't buy into that heresy. Communion is the "remembering of" Him who died for us until He returns again to partake in the passover/communion with us. Be blessed.
@@dalewier9735 Yes, I know why and RC reasoning and Jesus don't agree as usual. That was a major reformational issue bc the faithful were only infrequently getting the Eucharist and then only the bread.
*“Justification (by faith - “the just will live by faith” Romans 1:17; Romans 3:26) can only FOLLOW TRUE REPENTANCE”. The BLOOD is SPIRITUAL, it is the Blood of Christ - of the Holy Spirit! Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 9:14. The Blood only flow to "a believing sinner" when he truly repents. One Triune God.*
*Body of Christ: "The church on earth and Heaven will soon unite in one great jubilee and celebrate the final and great victories of the cross of our Lord, at the resurrection of all the saints, from the days of Abel to the end of the age. All these great hosts of the redeemed are the Bride of our Lord and He is complete only in them; which is His FULNESS and very precious to Him" - father Abraham*
@@Matrixqc777 The saints of Abel's day have already been redeemed at the resurrection of Christ and were seen in the city of God. The supper that RC is speaking to is the wedding promise Christ gave to his disciples when he told them to drink and then in reference to what was said after, that he (Christ) would not drink again until those at the supper would be with him in his kingdom. If this does not happen in ones life they are not his- belonging to Christ..... It was the wedding promise to all who would partake of his bread and blood.
Its very simple. Jesus says " this is" yet we all know that it " seems" like bread and wine. Why cant we all just admit that the Lords Supper "is" the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ, yet it seems like bread and wine? This clearly is the biblical teaching. The philosophical terminology of this is known as transubstantiation. The Biblical way.
Because now you have to explain how Jesus did not break the law of God by commanding His disciples to do what His Father forbade. Genesis 9:4 [4] But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

Holly tradition from the first Church is the real real real presence. Eating it means Christ enters our bodies and sanctifies them, making us devine.

Jesus Christ said to eat the bread and drink wine, both represent Jesus Christ body and blood.
He didn't SAY either or.

The comment was added as a rebuttal to Catholic view that just eating the "body" is sufficient, thus in most CCs, they are only allowed the bread.
