- Complement or Compliment? In this video, learn the difference between two confusing English words: complement and compliment.
I will explain what both complement and compliment mean. I'll tell you how you can use them in sentences so you can understand basic English grammar.
Then I'll give you lots of example sentences using complement and compliment so you can see how the meaning and English sentence structure changes.
Finally, I'll give you lots of opportunity to practice using complement and compliment so you feel confident adding these two confusing words to your vocabulary.

Hi Jennifer! Custard complements apple pie very well! Another example: strawberry or cloudberry jam complements vanilla ice cream. I have to compliment you on making this awesome video! "You just complimented me"-compliment is a verb in this case. "Those are compliments", compliment is a noun. I complimented my son on getting into a university of applied science, physiotherapist studies. So I gave him a compliment.
