The sad part is that if Seth had taken this to the police, there would have been a big chance that they would have laughed at him with the excuse that "women aren't capable of such a thing, consider yourself lucky that a woman likes you so much" and that's just sad

@Alfie Bell society has a double standard with men ans women in a lot of things, the most worrying ones are the legal ones
If a man is stalking or harassing a woman on any way, he'll be arrested asap, but in the other way around, people will laugh it off because they won't believe a woman is capable of that kind of stuff
Also, if a woman falsely accusses a man of him harassing her or that he raped her nand the man doesn't have any video or audio proof (or a witness), then that man's life is likely over, he'll be thrown into jail, no company/employer will want to hire him after jail time and quite probably he could lose his friends and his family support, it's really fucked up

    • @W-EYE.O

@Alfie Bell because of our society. People believe men are evil and are terrible to woman and kids (not all men but it is usually a big assumption) while woman are innocent and also people believe woman over men more.

This worries me when a person is so CONVINCED that they are in a relationship that they will not ACCEPT THE TRUTH even when its plain as day. She should have realized it was not a relationship when they never went on dates and she only ever saw him at work, but she REFUSED to see it and kept inventing a Relationship where there was none. Sorry this woman nearly destroyed his Happy Wedding. Seth deserves to be happy and I hope he gets to be happy with his wife OVER SEAS. (At a safe distance from her.)

People like this really do exist. I once worked with a woman who was being stalked, and the stalker actually turned up at the office, asking to speak to her. That's how we learned about the stalking. The woman hid in the staff room while the reception staff dealt with him. He did leave without causing a scene. The staff dealing with visitors were made aware of the situation and what to do if he ever returned.

Stories like this scare the hell out of me. Years ago I dated a woman who after 3 mo. got so clingy, jealous and possessive, I had to break up with her. She stalked me for about a year. I moved to a different city and changed phone numbers many times. But the move seemed to end the stalking. Then 3 years after moving and not having any kind of contact with her. I come home to find her in my kitchen "making us dinner". Acting like we've been a couple all this time. I called the police and had her arrested. Then I immediately moved and got a restraining order. She got convicted of B&E but got probation and no time which really worried me. But all of that seemed to have worked as she moved out of state when her probation was done and other than the occasional FB friend request (which I always refuse)I haven't had any contact with her.

I had a friend like that... (male version). Been trying to convince him to let go and to check himself in therapy for years and really tried to be patient and all, until the stalking of the girl became real and it scared me too... It suck's that people have such a hard time letting go and obsess over it!! Like imagine the time wasted, were you could of had someone actually love you and have a relationship. As much as I am creep out by such behaviours, as much as I feel sorry they can't see it. Mental illness is such a terrible affliction.

Similarly, years ago I worked with a guy who fell in love with a "showgirl" (pole dancer). Funny thing...when the money ran out, so did she. For a long time after that he would say, "But I know she loves me! I know she'll come back!" Yeah, sure she will...any day now, I suspect.
He quit about a year after this incident but I'll bet he's still pining away for this well-used garden implement. And, because he was a d*ck and also the office snitch, we all figured it was karma at its finest. Speaking of that, sometime after he quit we learned that his resignation was to avoid being fired. Karma is a real beeyotch, sometimes 😄

this one is funny, but hit close to home. I had a stalker...unknown to me...who showed up at my wedding. This was 25 years ago...so before all the fun that the internet provides...LOL. It was a woman from my unit who had somehow gotten the idea that because I was divorced at the time, I was meant to be hers and she could get out of the military and be a dependapotomus. The military police had to come and drag her away...thank god one of my friends caught her hiding in the balcony of the chapel and dealt with it before we knew. The Commander was super pissed and she got one of her wishes...she got kicked out of the military...some people have a short circuit in their brain that leads them to confuse reality with their delusions and that is not only sad but dangerous--for them and for the people they stalk.

    • @bdhu2001

Wow. I’ve been stalked and heard of stalkers, but I just thought they obsessed over people. I had no idea that this type of crazy thought is what goes through their head. Even when I’ve seen these types of stories, I’ve thought it was total fiction and that no one had those types of thoughts. Having you say your quick story is stunning. Now I wonder what kind of crazy thoughts went through my stalker’s head and I’m just glad I got away from him.
I had been stalked for two years and even considered suicide, because I wanted to sleep and get rest. When they charged him, they tried to convince me to drop everything and not to destroy this young man’s life for a mistake. Someone from my job told me to make sure that I didn’t allow him to plead to anything lower than felony probation, because any other type of probation wouldn’t have him report to anyone and I’d still be stuck with him coming after me.
But what was weird is that he’d still try to find ways to intrude in my life. He tried to befriend my husband, he dated a gril who had a daughter and enrolled the daughter into my daughter’s gymnastics class. He started going to church with a friend of mine and she said he was such a God fearing man was I sure it was him. That was a slap in the face and I backed off from being around her after that statement. I just thought he was obsessed, but now wow. The delusions that could have been the motivation in his head. Wow

@@velvetdarksoul8741 I’m not shocked that it occurs, it’s the mindset or thoughts that I’m shocked by. When I’ve seen that or dealt with stalking, I imagined they had the mindset of “If I can’t have you no one can. Or in my situation, the guy wanted to make me miserable because I didn’t want to be with him. These other delusional thoughts of the victim cheating on them or that they are in a relationship with the victim was just too bizarre for me to wrap my head around. Again, if it weren’t for the commentator’s statement about his own situation and discovering the mindset, I would have believed it was the writers brain to come up with a reason (implausible though it seemed to me) for the stalker’s actions.

Similar thing happened to my cousin; she and her bf got into a huge fight one night because he had been acting strange, and he left and disappeared. About a week later someone knocked on my cousin’s door with pictures of her bf at his wedding and to stop trying to contact him. BUT she had texts from him proving that he was still sleeping with my cousin right up to the wedding. And he was still trying to contact her, for sex, after the wedding as well. This story reminds me of a similar situation I experienced many years ago. At that time I knew (because we had worked in the same company for some years) a woman who used to fell in love with colleagues who barely were aware of her existence. She fancied romantic dates and situations regardless of their having no whatsoever interest in her. The last case known to me concerned a lawyer for whom she worked as secretary. She used to cover his desk with bunches of red roses and boycott all telephone calls from his ex wife and from his girl-friend By chance I was hired by the same law firm as secretary to another lawyer and I immediately became worried when I saw her. The poor man saw in me the opportunity of getting rid of her. In fact she was fired and replaced by me😁. I was sorry for her but the situation was really unbearable for that poor guy.

Also, I’ve been seeing a lot of comments that Kaitlyn should had tried to get Ellen to seek help, and think she is a bad friend for abandoning her.
One: It was made clear that Ellen WASN’T going to listen to anyone. And two and more importantly, considering how crazy Ellen was being over Seth, Kaitlyn could had gotten caught up in something really ugly, as shown by Ellen’s insistence that she and Grant serve as the witnesses to her forced wedding to Seth and his forced divorce from his wife.
Trying to help a friend is good. But sadly, you also have to look out for yourself. And that friend ultimately has to chose to help themselves, you can’t force them to improve.

It's sad that we have these people around us. It's creepy because we wouldn't know what they will do after being told of the truth. Worst thing is that they may snap and it'll be hell.
People like Ellen should be given the opportunity to correct herself. The management should send her for psychiatric evaluation and treatment so that she could recover and lead a normal life. Of course the colleagues should be supportive too even though it would be a bit creepy.
Since Seth has left the company and no one "knows" where he's headed it's hoped that it stays that way. It'll be good for the company, Seth and Ellen. Who knows Ellen may meet the guy she would be spending her life with eventually (of course not the delusional guy).

Sounds alot like someone I knew. But she was fixated on celebs. Including Sylvester McCoy. Who by the way told her off very bluntly. She for a while wrote stories where her Ace harmed the Doctor in various ways. Last I heard, she was fixated on someone over in France.

4:55 you two don't go home together, you two simply leave work together, and you simply have a very similar commute to work, but none of that is proof of attraction, and if there's no attraction is there really a relationship? In the words of Kevin McCallister: I don't think so
Edit 5:15 that sounds like stalking, and 5:22 that doesn't prove love, it doesn't even prove attraction

A friend asked me to ride to the car races with a guy she & her husband knew. I was NOT interested in dating him at all. I was working full time, had 2 young sons, had collage courses to juggle and was not wanting to enter a man into my sons life that I was not serious about. Anyway we ride to yhe car races I hated them. My friend & her husband were very into the racing life. I told her..hey sorry, its not for me- the fumes bother my asthma! TRUTH! LOL. the next events are...this guy is popping up at my door. NOTE: I did not meet him at my home, I was at my friend's house. I drove there & back. He found my address from my car plates..he was a tow truck driver & some how found out my adress. And I guess that's F#@KING not legal. He was a short over weight very dirty smelly guy when he would show up at our door. There was no peep hole so we would hear a knock..one of the boys would open the door and oops!! There he'd be. I would have to get RUDE bf he would get out. We would go to the store..there he would come at the end of the aisle...to the movies... same thing..he said he was sure if he kept coming around every day I would fall for him just like in the movies...he started coming by my children schools..and I called my friends to help me with him. I was scared. My boys were scared. Every where we went this guy was there following us either on foot or in his truck. Once a doctor who put ear tubes in my son's ears stopped while we were in the grocery store and asked us both how he was doing & before either of us could say beyond hello, this stalker comes pounding up in a rage telling my son's doctor to move back away from his woman! I became low keyed unglued. Told the doctor very fast..my son was fine/ this crazy man is crazy stalker/ I was NOT HIS WOMAN I DID NOT KNOW HIM/ I need store sercurity. ...Who came very quickly for the local doctor being involved...My friends had A TALK with him. I moved. I also stopped driving for 2 years. I heard he got serious theraphy for some time. Lost weight seem to get himself better in the head. IDK IDC Still don't want him near me after what we endured.

There was one girl I used to work with that I loved flirting with. TBH if she had decided on more than flirting I would have been fine with that. I did really enjoy her company though. Still, she got her a boyfriend, and married him. I hope he made her as happy as my stepfather made my mom. My pet name for her was Martini. I always told her she was a little lady with a big kick. As for being little, she was about 4 feet 11 inches and even more cute than my little kitten Midnight.

I actually thought it was going one direction ( where _he_ was the liar, and she was the mistress ), but it want on a completely different direction ( where she's just crazy ). That plot twist actually caught me off guard.
Though, it's pretty scary, nonetheless and I was SO speechless when she went on a rant about his wife being the "mistress."

Wow I've seen in newspapers in UK how nutty stalkers can get . Some have paid someone to throw acid on their faces . If they can't have em no one else can . Lots of hospital treatment skin grats etc for the poor lass one famous case in UK. He's who threw it on her is out now . But the stalker is still serving his sentence. In a asylum for the criminal insane . Never be released its considered to dangerous. More so as she married and has children now .

All these kind of stories like this end up the same way, the person being stalked ends up having to upend their whole life and movw, while the stalker just moves in with parents or something. Gets pretty old. Time someone updated the whole plot. Stalker needs to get arrested or even committed. The actual victim should be able to move on and live their lives without having to actually run away.
