Jace’s position is understandable. They’re in a middle of civil war bc of the designated female successor. He’s right that his dragon lordship is the only counter to his illegitimacy. There would likely be another war of succession with Jace.
Yeah. By doing this, Rhaenyra is opening up a whole new can of worms - the question of his legitimacy & a long list of people she helped find, who can contest it.
Rhaenyra gave them the option to live or die the first time. The second time (when she looked on as her guards prevented them from escaping) was something else entirely & very sinister.
this garbage interpretation is being peddled everywhere. have you ever been in a chaotic situation? did she intend to prevent them from leaving or did she just not decide anything fast enough? did she tell the guards before hand to prevent people from leaving? we didn't see that if she did. or did she telepathically tell the guards to do this? I have little doubt that the showrunners intend to show certain developing negatives with rhaneyra, but these "tells" that people are latching onto are not clear enough. Most people are not seeing them because there is more than one way to interpret what occurred. Its actually unnerving how many people seem to think they can interpret someone's core motives simply by their actions for 5 seconds or a long shot of their face. the reality is: the vast majority of people are still very pro Rhaenyra. That is clear evidence these "clues" are not being delivered very well.
@@blanketwodahs6741 Lol. You write as if I just insulted your mother!😂 Rather than being "garbage" as you say, it's a perfectly valid interpretation. My reading of her not instinctively shouting out something like "let them go!", as Alicent instinctively shouted the order "sheathe your swords!", is indication enough imo (along with the final scene shot of her stoic face) that Rhaenyra is culpable. Your adamant opinion that these "tells" & "clues" are NOTHING to latch on to, is alternatively YOUR interpretation. That's the beauty of such an ambiguous sequence; that it can be interpreted in more than one way without it being deemed inaccurate (except on soc. media, lol), until the writers choose to reveal the true meaning behind it. "Actually unnerving" is a bit hyperbolic.... Also just my opinion.🤣
@@ameliacraiig4193 yes, well .. I guess I was overly aggressive. Would that it were presented as "only opinion" by others on average.. maybe I would be far less grumpy about it. My apologies.
Great episode. Loved the dialogue at the beginning. Daemon's story has an unexpected resolution and the end of the episode was a great set up for the finale. :D
Why does everyone keep saying the Blacks would lose without the dragonseeds? All she had to do was let go of her pride and go get Daemon from Harrenhal. Giving commoners dragons is the dumbest idea, let’s not even talk about her naivety in thinking she can still avoid war.
Keep it up, Rocha! I promise one day you might even get more than 3k views! And then maybe your lady won’t be so embarrassed and she’ll actually marry you 😂😂😂 over 10 years on UA-cam and my guy has barely made a footnote lmao
The way some folks rate these episodes I wonder if we’re even watching the same episodes 😂 There really hasn’t been any “best episode” of the season yet. Maybe they say that to get in good with Max so they can keep getting those early screenings.
John jayce only wanted her mother not to do it bc he would be like everybody else a bastard with dragon only thing he has going for him he had dragon but you think this has to do with the patriarchy sorry men are head of the household it’s always been that but I’m guess you grew up without a dad
I have not read the books but, as well as there being a war between thr blacks and the greens, there is a war within the greens brewing and possibly the blacks (Daemon) and possibly the High Born and Low Born. At this rate, it is, every man for themselves for the throne...
Acolyte you could only wish you had these writers and directors🤣🤣

Emma D'Arcy is an amazing close-up actor. Starting from the first scene their facial expressions set the table to sell those digital dragons.
If I understood it right Silverwing was the Dragon auf Ulf's (great?-)grandmother. So it makes sense, that she would like him.
Yeah if Ulf is who he says he is and is Balon the Brave son. Queen Alysanne would be grandmother and Silverwing 2nd rider besides his grandma
Seasmoke was the mount of Rhaea's uncle and yet he nearly killed her. Kinship doesn't seem to mean much.
6:24 he was also Achilles right hand Myrmidon in Troy @John Rocha
This episode was so good I watched it twice and might watch it again before episode 8 is out.
Three times watched for me.
@@susanleach9106 I'm up to 5x now. It's such a great episode.

Hey....I'm bending my Got'damn knee to Rhay...I wanna ride a dragon too!! LMAO 😂😂
I'm sad because there's only one episode left. 😢😢 Do you think HBO plan on doing several more Seasons?
Fantastic episode 👏 loved it
Everyone talked down on my boy Ulf I knew from the second he was on screen he would get silverwing that’s all I cared about lol
When Ulf stepped into that pile of doo-doo was that a Dragon egg next to his foot?
