Lol true, as much as we all hate it, it happened and is part of the history of this rivalry. Plus they talked about the Miracle at the Meadowlands, may as well mention the DeSean Jackson mess too.

I always wanted ESPN to do one of their commercials. Jaws, Theismann, Danny White, and Gary Danielson, long since retired and now in broadcasting, are touring ESPNs building in Bristol, when someone mentions that Lawrence Taylor happens to be somewhere in the building too, at which time the qbs scatter like roaches and hide under the furniture.
Chuck Bednarik's hit on Frank Gifford is the reason why the Philadelphia Eagles are the football team I detest the most. It intensified in our Super Bowl years. No one exemplified that hatred more than none other Mark Bavaro.
And he "forgot" to mention that the Iggles won the championship that year.
From what I've heard Bednarik and Gifford were good friends after football 🦅
Funny how the last game they covered was 2016, wonder what happened afterwards, also what happened in 2010 ??

This is so NY Giant biased. There are literally more than twice as many eagle Victories in this time period. Oh and also PaPa get your facts right 2012 was not a season sweep. Eagles won the first one at Philly

I think the Cowboys are a bigger rival to the Eagles than the Giants. In the 80s this was a bigger rivalry but not anymore
The Giants are the main rival due to the NYC-PHI sports rivalry and proximity. The rivalry with Dallas for the Eagles is out of pure jealousy if you ask me. The Giants rivalry with Dallas is more of a mutual respect.

Hard to consider it a rivalry at this point - Eagles have won 29 of the last 41 games. That’s a terrible look.
A better look is that the Giants have won 4 Super Bowls to the Eagles 1. There's no rivalry there either.
@@mitchellbaker9434 I am a Giants fan, so I say this with all due respect - that's an asinine way of looking at it. The Super Bowls have been fun, but, when the Eagles routinely run roughshod over the Giants, I don't think, 'well hey, they have those Super Bowls...' Also, the Eagles have the most recent so there's that.
@@Chalk89 that's your opinion. It isn't mine. The fact is that Super Bowls are what ultimately defines the success or failure of a franchise. That's the big picture rivalry. In 2011-12 the Giants won the Super Bowl. How many Washington fans are crowing that Washington beat the Giants twice that year? My guess is you haven't been alive for all four.

I got basically the whole team of 72 (Rocky Thompson years, lol) Giants autographs and corresponding gameday mag. pics of every player that I got outside of Yankee stadium Giants Saturday walk-through days.

They weren't bad that year. Norm Snead actually led the NFL in qb rating. Went 9-7, the second of 2 winning seasons they had in the first 17 seasons I rooted for them.
@@mitchellbaker9434 actually met and got autographs from all of them, the first being cb Willie Williams in the coffee shop under the subway before practice. And Jack Gregory got out of a cab outside stadium he looked like Paul Bunyon. He was so tall. Bob Tucker pulled the old " look kids, its Ron Johnson" and bolted for the parking lot
