Corky is a beautiful effort on all your parts. The brightwork on the cabintop, the bottom paint , the glossy hull and the authentic wooden mast and the brass fittings are all classics. Congratulations men, you deserve it. Enjoy your sailing time. Now the hundreds of little inside projects begin to make her more habitable, allowing you to sail and relax in comfort at anchor and on the slip.
I've watched your channel from the beginning. There were times that I was doubtful if you would ever finish. You disappeared for awhile and then came back. Yet, in the end you were the first to finish of several channels I watch on rebuilding old boats. Congratulations on a job well done - she's a boat to be proud of.
A very deserved "WELL DONE!" This video should be one of the most trending videos on UA-cam, because it shows how your grit, hard work, skill, determination, and vision resulted in achieving your dream. You took that forgotten, abused sailboat, and transformed it into a masterpiece. We are all very proud of you and your entire family who contributed. Again, well done!
Goose bumps....a little choked.....MAN you guys did it ! That is a real deal long haul and most people would have given up! Beyond congrats! Bluewater, cold beer, fair winds!
I just watched the 45 episodes prior to this one without skipping ahead once. It was worth it. Congratulations on having fulfilled your dream, you both will now truly enjoy the pleasure of owning such a classic beauty...
Hey guys, only just come across your site. Well done on bringing her back to Life, she looks fantastic!!! Brought a tear to an old blokes eye when you launched her. May she keep you both safe. Cheers from an old fart from downunder.
Congratulations guys! I've been following you from the start. Must feel unbelievable to be sailing her. She looks great, you should be very proud. Well done!
I just binge watched your build. Loved it. I was sad when you guys slowed down on the work but understood why. Thank you for launching it. It felt like watching a child taking his first steps. I don’t even know you guys but I am proud of you for your perseverance. Love the logo.
Hi Guys, loved the whole process of you getting this old boat ready to sail again. She turned out beautiful, you should be extremely proud of her and the work you did. I'm in the process of restoring a Clipper 26' and your video helped give a lot of ideas and ways to solve some tricky problems. The main reason I'm writing (kind of late I know) is that I wondered if you were planning to do anything with the leftover scrap bronze, copper and brass for your project. I have been following a guy named Leo who is rebuilding a wooden sailboat named "Tally Ho" up in Washington State and his project would be able to use any stuff not needed. He is building it on a shoestring so I think that he would appreciate any leftovers you may have even lead. Enjoy your sailing guys, you deserve it.
Congratulations! I think you are the first sailboat channel/project I witnessed from beginning to end. Honestly, when you started out, I was convinced we would get three, four videos and then this would just die because the boat was in such bad shape and you guys seemed to feel a bit awkward in that situation as well. The atmosphere and vibe that spoke out of these videos was a bit dark, you guys seemed lost somehow. During the next months and years, it was so nice to see that boat coming along, getting put together, getting all bright and shiny again. And along with that boat, everything else seemed to brighten up as well. Thanks for letting us take part in that journey!
Fantastic work. Watching the boat the day you bought it I told myself they are crazy. Thank you for your persistence on saving her and for sharing it with us. Hope I have a chance to do something similar one day.
Bravo. . .Well done gentlemen, you must and should feel so good about what you have accomplished. Please keep filming and sharing your journey and thank you for taking us along.
A proud day indeed and the boat looks absolutely fantastic. I don't think you can get a better sense of satisfaction than knowing you rebuilt that boat yourselves and she is now back where she belongs for decades more use. Mine was a 2 year resto and still feels great seeing her floating everytime I go over to the boat. I don't think we ever truly own these boats, we are just care takers in their long lifetime of history.
Well done to everyone involved in the restoration of such a beautiful sailboat, you have done an amazing job and should be rightly proud of what you achieved. Enjoy the sailing and the memories you’ll make. Fair winds and following seas.
Fantastic, Wonderful! You rescued and restored and gave new life to this beautiful little yacht! Congratulations! And I really hope that you will delight in sailing her! Well done! Building SY Mistress, Australia.
Congratulations! That must feel very satisfying! Don't be afraid to put your engine astern (into reverse) whilst maneuvering it will provide "the brakes" to your vessel and means your crew won't have to hang on to the ropes to stop her forward motion. In time you will be able to bring her alongside so that your crew can just step off and secure your lines! Well done with all the meticulous work!
so so so pleased for you guys, amazing job,she looks stunning, slip through the water like a dolphin,so good to see,big congrats and thankyou for sharing your work with us all.
Thank you for all the videos. I really enjoyed every one of them It has been a long time for you guys. I hope you get lots of enjoyment out Corky and lots of special memories. Thank you again.
Wow, you did one hell of a job. So good to see an old lady restored so beautiful. You’ve got to do some work and trimming but that’s peanuts looking at the work already done. I hope the dolfins will bring you to fantastic places and bring you all lots of joy. Greeting and thanks for nice videos from Holland
Beautiful. I visited the Cheoy Lee yard in Hong Kong in the early 70s. They built their yachts the same way you rebuilt this one . Each part was painstakingly made by hand.
This so awesome!! Ya'll have been my motivation to continue restoring my boat, and to not give up when the projects don't seem to end. And the coolest part is, I work 400 feet from you guys! I am a boat washer at Texas Coast Yachts. So happy for you!!!
Well done - enjoy! Thanks so much for sharing this project - it was the first restoration series I watched... which then led me on to the 'Tally Ho' and 'Acorn to Arabella'. It's a real joy to watch you craftsmen at work :-)
When I first encountered one of your videos (close to the beginning) I really didn't think you were going to reach the goal of the project. But you did! Well done!! 🏆 Now I'm sitting here with enthusiasm and smiling about seeing you sailing! Really hope you continue with the documentation. Best greetings here from Denmark 🌞🇩🇰
Congratulations on a job well done, I look forward to seeing new episodes on the sailing and fitting out the interior. Raising a glass of my native whiskey to toast Corky safe sailing.
I have watched from the start. The word that came to mind is elation. After all the hard work it must have been absolutely amazing to raise the sails and get underway. You guys are truly inspirational. Thanks for taking us along in your journey. Please keep making videos of your adventures. Also a video where you perhaps let us know what you would have wished you had done differently, lessons learned, etc. would be great too. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic job ya'll, Corky is a very good looking boat, it's been a long time coming but you have made it happen, my hat is off to you fellas, congrats.

I subscribed when I watched the video of you two picking up the boat. At first I figured it would never sail again. After a few videos I changed my mind.
