My brother has always been about labels and asked for a pair when they came out, my mom bought them for him. I still remember him wearing them and how excited he was. I also remember one of the neighborhood boys getting clowned over his bc my brother and the other neighborhood boys thought they were fake. His mother even defended their authenticity 😁...idk 🤷🏼.
i got a pair of these in 86 and they were super cheap. a year after they came out. there were tons left and they were cheap on sale. as we were poor and my mom would not of got them if they were normal price. i get i got them for 40 dollars at most.
Hello,i don't know if you still answer in here.. but by any chance do you know how this pair was kept? Nevada is hot... What's the secret they used to preserve them like this? Thank you
Cause Nike wanted to Sell them, selling a cheap made shoe for $65 wasn’t going to sell. $65 back the is like paying $150 today which back then everyone thought was crazy for a sport shoe. Now Nike Air Jordan’s have such a crazy following they can sell you $190, $200 dollar shoes & it sells out. So Nike takes advantage of ignorant people who buy them & don’t know quality & sells them low quality shoes for those prices...still sells.
I found a pair of the air Jordan 1 royal blue at a thrift store 13 dollars and can't tell if there real or not on the tongue Nike tag it has 1985 of 2003 can anyone tell me anything
The glitter is from whatever plastic type coating jb used on the black leather...far as I know the only aj1 high ogs that have the glitter are the 2013-2017 retros. Jb started phasing out the glitter leather around 2016 i believe
The shape & leather is even better than today’s quality just beautiful
Imagine how many other people have rare ass Jordan’s just sitting in their garage not knowing the worth of these.
Yeah it’s crazy
Oh my gosh these were the sneakers I got for Christmas in '85! I LOVED them, my fav sneaker ever!!
OG1s are wearable to this day! Look at how buttery smooth that leather is
everything but the collars. They crumble quick!
rnbricky the air Jordan 1’s are currently the most popular shoe to wear for sneaker heads and just in general
Damnnnn super good condition!!
Honestly this is the best condition I’ve ever seen on this year of royals

Why no glitter? And where did this whole glitter situation come from? Clearly not the shoe box if this shoe been resting for decades
