I purchased one because I watch your video, and I'm very happy with this digital pedalboard, the Mooer GE300 sounds real good in my opinion.

Thanks for the review .... I've been using a GE 200 live for about a year now. Perfect for a cover band like ours that plays a bit of everything! I've been contemplating on upgrading to the 300 and keeping the 200 as a back up. Think I'm now sold!!

Here it is 2024 and I just bought a used GE300 on Reverb for less than $450, with free shipping. :) I had one when they came out an it got sold as many things do, as my tone search goes on and on. :) Cheers mate!

Great intro track! Something told me not to sleep on the GT300!!😁😁 That is a great tool to record from and it gives you a simple all in one device to get any tone. The one thing that stood out is that Harley Benton bass you were playing! I’ve been wanting to try one out. Hopefully you will do a video on it🙏🏾 Another excellent demo Shane!! Cheers and stay safe!🎸🎸🎸🎵🎼

Great review Shane , I have this unit and use it for live gigs. It sounds awesome live , I go direct to the board via the XLR mono out and then run the XLR stereo out to my little Vox 10 inch cabinet powered by a Mooer Baby Bomb to act as my own stage monitor. It's very easy to program and dial in your tone and you did a perfect job of showing that ! I would highly recommend this to anybody who needs a solid dependable multi effects unit that it user friendly and sounds fantastic. Cheers Shane !

Very late to this video but wanted to say thank you for the thought you put into making the settings and easy to follow production.
Although iv had the GE300 a while and tweaked settings to my liking in various usage situations to great affect,I learned a lot in this video regarding classic amp sounds and the parameters involved .
I also found your suggestions to be more satisfying than the original Amp settings that came with the unit
I'll sub and thumbs up and look forward to learning more from you . Best 🙏👍

    I don't have the GE-300 (yet) .
I nearly went for the GE 200 after I'd had the Mooer RADAR for a while, but 'Circumstances' changed .
    Hopefully they'll improve ...
One thing that's been staring me in the face for ages, but I only just actioned it, has been to put my Mooer RADAR in the Send/Return loop of my Interface.
I'd had it just on the output of my pedal board but that board wasn't always in the chain.
By having it in the Loop I can easily use it on what ever source I'm running into the DAW .
In this new flat I've moved to I'm using Attenuator/Load-boxes more often so having an accessible IR unit is really helping.
I dunno whether I'll be able to run to the 300 but I can see me having one of Mooer's GE range in the arsenal once things improve £s-wise ...

Good demo Shane! Intro track was rockin'! \m/ As to the amp sims itself, mmm kinda ambivalent! The clean amp sounds you got were fantastic! Bright, glassy, chimey, nice reverb, EVERYTHING you would WANT from a clean valve type amp! Sounded AS good as 1!
BUT, when you went to the OD amp sounds, they just sounded, (like many other of these units) harsh and icy picky! No warmth or character to it!
Prob best used just as an effect unit, or as a clean amp sim and use a good, SEPARATE dirt box in front!
I liked the effects you used from it tho, revs and delays sounded real nice. So it has some pluses and minuses.
    Cheers!

Hey, nice intro and the music is cool. Have you used this to clone your other amps or guitars yet? I just got one so I will be figuring that but curious what you've found. I don't have headrush, helix or Kemper. I do have gt10 and gt100. They both are fine. Just looking to capture my different guitars and amps into one pedal. It should be a blast.

This thing is more expensive than a new Helix Stomp, and you can get a used Helix LT for not a lot more. I've owned two Mooer pedals. Neither were of the super cheap variety. One I just didn't like the sound of, but the other the footswitch broke after only a couple months of very light use. If these companies want us to even consider their more expensive stuff, they should make their cheaper stuff better.

Sounds ok to me. This unit very much a spin off of the Helix. However at half the cost of a helix it seems like a good option at first. Then I remember that the Helix was released in 2015 and is still very much actively supported by Line6. Where will this unit be in 5 years? I'm gonna guess it will be forgotten. I could be wrong though.

Not sure yet, I can’t find anyone actually going through the editor and creating a signal chain, I would like to see dsp/effect limits, modes etc. There’s plenty of such reviews of the helix products

    • @intheblues

You can use this into an amplifier for sure but being it has so much in the way of cabs and amps sims a lot of people usually buy it for direct recording but either way is fine for sure. :)

Having had this unit for almost a year Now, I would recommend using FRFR speakers with it.
My garage setup is two 15”speakers PA speakers and my lounge I have a similar smaller setup. This speaker allow you to get the most out of the unit in terms of the amp and cab modelling.
By all means you can use this unit with an amp but then running the amp/can modelling through it can become muddy sounding and so most people turn them off when running the unit this way.... although I have heard some people like their own amp tone colouring the modelled amp/cab.

    • @hawkinthewind

IMHO - Get the tube amp first. Spend the money on something that will hold value and consider it an investment. These type of effects units are already beginning to flood the market and there will be more to come. They'll come and go while a well made tube amp will always be there for you.

I work(ed) in music retail. Suppliers/imported price gouge, or o/s suppliers jack UP base price for us, BEFORE exch rate, imp duties and GST etc, so they pass that on to us, who in tern, have to pass it on to you!
From my research in doing parallel importing, MOST countries seem to have a fairly uniform parity of price from 1 country to another, (within a few $100 at most, inc exch and taxes!)
BUT when it comes to market stuff to Australasia, (Oz & NZ), 3-5X the asking price everywhere else seems to be the norm!)
Yes when you're at the arse end of the world, you get arse raped!
I priced a Behringer 8 ch interface, 1 of the Uphoria models. The AU prices was over $600. On Thomann, I could get it for around A$250 + shipping of ~A$80, so A$330 shipped to my door from Germany! WTF does THAT tell you?
