I worked at a Wendy's. One day a woman pulled up the drive-thru speaker but wouldn't respond to anything we said. Cars were lined up behind her all the way to the street. Finally a manager went out to talk to her. We could of course overhear the entire conversation inside the store. She had come last week and ordered 12 baked potatoes. She had not called ahead, just showed up assuming we had 12 potatoes ready at all times. Well, we didn't. So she has come back today "To get revenge!" Her exact words. She was just going to sit there all day and block the drive-thru. We called the police. They forced her to leave. Revenge failed.

My ex's mother was the biggest child I've ever seen. If she didn't get her way, she would storm out and sit in her car until her husband would go and beg her to forgive him, whether he was at fault or not. She would then come into the house and cry her eyes out because her "babies" would not bend over backwards for her every whim, even if her sons weren't even involved. I legit think she had some sort of mental issue. It wasn't normal seeing a 50+ year old woman throw a toddler tantrum.

Me, being done with her BS at this point, tossed the phone since I didn't want to hand it to her. I was at my local starbucks at about 12. I was always super shy and quietly ordered my shit and would sit at the counter for my stuff. A grown man came in with his own cup that was between a venti and a grande (large and regular). The man working at the counter told him such and basically offered him a deal saying he would just charge it as a grande but that he couldnt use non starbucks product there. This was just unacceptable and he started yelling how he comes here all the time and probably payed for majority of his pay check as he was starting to leave i scoffed and said in an audible voice “what a fucking man child, jesus fucking christ dude”. Apparently he heard me because he whipped right tf back around and started screaming at me. A family happened to be in the shop and the very burly father grabbed little man child by the shoulder whipped him around so they were face to face and said something to the effect of “These are parking lot words buddy. Gtfo.” Manlet left the shop red in the face and sped off. The worker who was screamed at brought out my drink and cake pop. He told me he pit an extra in because i didnt deserve to be yelled at. I put a five in the tip jar after id already tipped. Still go there to this day. Still cant believe it.

Story 1: We were in Gatlinburg in December of 2021 on Christmas Day. We were riding the big tram up to the top of Ober and everyone was told that masks were required since social distancing was impossible with like 45-60 people smushed together (no matter how you feel about them, it was the rule and everyone was informed when tickets were purchased). A middle-aged man was asked to put his mask back on ( it was hanfing from his ear, so he had one). Once the tram was in motion and he refused and started making fun of the tram operator. He was so angry that he just started making fun of his appearance and saying hateful and hurtful things because he got embarrassed and then tried to get everyone else in on it. He got a few to agree with him, but they didn't attack the operator. He was in line in front of us and I heard him agree to wear a mask on the tram so I started telling the operator, loudly, what about how childish someone has to be to attack someone over something as small as a mask when it wasn't the operator's fault for the rule. The operator was near tears before I started talking to him. He told me he was missing his daughter's first Christmas because they needed the double time pay for working a holiday. He was smiling and joking with me and my husband before we got off at the top. The man complained to the management when we got to the top and I know because I had gone to customer service to let them know if anyone complained that the operator was just doing his job. He legit tried to get the man fired for following the rules his employers made.
Story 2: I want to start by saying that I adore my in-laws, but my MIL has some crazy sisters. We went to a Texas Roadhouse to celebrate 2 birthdays of my MILs sister and sister in law. There were 21 of us in total and since no one thought to call and inform them, we were seated at 2 separate sets of tables. That was the first complaint. It was fine until everyone ordered. The server didn't refill the drinks when she brought the rolls and appetizers out, but said she would be right back to d9 them once she got the order in. She was back in 2 minutes max. They complained she took too long. Let me be clear that no one had an empty drink. When the Silverware was given out in preparation for the meals coming out, we were 1 short because we had someone join our table last minute. That's when the grumbling began in earnest. The people are not quiet at all so our server heard everything. Then her name was being made fun of because it was Siri. Our entrees were out within 30 minutes and for as packed as they were and our party size, that was reasonable. Someone got mad because they had the wrong steak put in front of them when she had asked them to pass it down because she couldn't read because a booth was in the way. About this yike the other table started to complain that they hadn't gotten their food yet and we had. They were loud. Our severe started to get flustered and I could tell. One was trying to joke with her and then got mad because she was concentrating on the complaints everyone had about their food. He got mad because she was "ignoring" him. I could tell she was about to cry so I told her that I was sorry and she was doing fine, which didn't go over too well with the table. It was just a jumbled mess of complaints after that. I was shocked when no one asked for a refund to be honest. I left an extra good tip because I didn't know if they would tip her at all at this point. I looked for her as I was leaving and couldn't find her. I decided to call and ask for a manager once I had left and explain that none of the issues were her fault, she had done an amazing job, especially for the party size. The manager said that the girl had come to her very upset that she hadn't done a good job with us. I explained that exactly none of what happened was her fault and to please apologize to her for me. I will NEVER eat out with all of them together again.

I have autism, and with autism normally comes ridiculous tantrums over stupid things. One of my worst was as a tween or teen, it was breaktime and I was in the cafeteria line, ready to ask for a sausage roll. There was one problem... the person in front of me took the last one. I had a full-on meltdown, crying and complaining, until a staff member got me to calm down. Afterwards, the person in front of me gave me the sausage roll. My mum and I think they just got annoyed with me. Even though I took it, I did end up feeling guilty. That was when I learned that sometimes, someone takes the last one, I just have to accept it.
As an adult? I still have the occasional meltdown, but one time I remember having a meltdown for no good reason (I feel justified in my other ones, still overreaction but justified) is at my first job working at a cinema. My dad had bought me one of those cinema cups with the topper, specifically this was after we had seen the third How to Train your Dragon film, I chose the light fury topper. Shortly after, I was working and had taken my cinema cup to use for my drink. At some point I come back to it and my light fury is gone, later learned that a manager was serving someone and took the topper for a customer without realising it was mine. Not in front of customers to my knowledge, but I did complain to the manager I saw (it was a different manager), just sobbing over the missing topper. I think it was the next day I came in, I found another light fury, and the manager who had given my topper away was aware of the situation, he said 'oh, yeah, I'm really sorry, you can take that one'. Then a short while later I leave the cup behind in the cinema and I never see it again... this time I went 'oh well, my fault'.
TL:DR Teenage me gets mad when last sausage roll is taken, adult me cries to boss about missing topper.

He took off his sunglasses, threw them to the floor, and broke them. Mind you, this was not an immediate reaction to finding out that he'd have to wait a year. When I used to work fast food we had a guy in a giant white van aggressively pull in the drive thru. He started swearing and then demanded to see the manager bc his double burger that he had ordered hours ago was missing a patty. He claimed he had taken pictures and already posted bad reviews about us on Facebook 😅. After he gave the manager what was left of the burger (it was at least 1/2 eaten) he waited until she had walked far enough away to pull out his phone and film all of us, including our cashier who was a minor. I covered up my name tag, got out of frame, and told the manager. She got up in his face and told him he wasn't allowed to film us and that she was going to call the police. He kept screaming "Tell me your name! I'm going to report you!" And just generally cussing us out. She actually did give this psycho her first name. After a few moments she left him at the window to call the cops using the store phone and that guy took off like a bat out of hell. Oddly enough this wasn't even the only Karen/psycho we had to deal with that week. Had another guy come in and berate me bc he didn't bother to read the sign on the window. After speaking to the manager he actually apologized when he realized he was wrong and tipped me $2. Had another Karen who always had a specific request: microwave everything twice so it would be extra hot. Then she'd call the store 10 minutes later to complain that her food was too cold.

I was interning for Game and Fish in Arizona one summer. My job was to help out at boat ramps and provide awareness for invasive species. One of the lakes would typically give out free trash bags to boaters. However, due to budget cuts they had to stop giving them out that summer. So while talking to boaters as they waited in line to drop their boat in the water it would help out the local park rangers and tell the boaters information, like they were no longer giving out trash bags for free, but the marina store next to the ramp sold trash bags. One California boater threw a fit and literally started pretending to cry and threatened to throw all their trash in the lake. This was the worst, but I got similar reactions from a number of California's. There is a reason Arizonans and don't care for Californians.

We recently had an incident in which a guy ordered, came to the store, picked up his order, left, and came back a few minutes later to complain that we didn't give him enough fries, and demanded that we make him some more. When we refused, he flipped out and called the police, accusing us of "stealing" from him. The local police knew they were being dispatched to our store, but didn't know why, and they apparently suspected it was something serious like a fight or a robbery, so they sent about five cars. They were none too pleased when they got there.

This woman comes in orders food and tea started ranting about the cup being to small and we are ripping her off so she has to buy more (for the bottomless tea) and demanded a bigger cup she was told they hold all the same amount just different shapes. Then lost it when she had to walk to the rea station and make her own she thought each time she wanted a refill we did it for her. I don't serve myself you serve me. So we suggested she could have a coffee from the machine or a special tea which we can make up but this wasn't good enough cause she didn't want to pay each time she wanted a fill up. Her teenage son had to come over and bring her to her seat. I've also seen an adult take a tantrum cause he didn't get a free ice cream with his meal but his kid did when it was explained all children get a free ice cream with their meal he then went on a rant that his child only got one scoop of free cream cream with his meal and it should have been at least 2 and we are greedy we don't give away more free ice cream. Yes this was in front of his son about 5 and he must have been in his 30s.

Full service restaurants too, I go out on a Friday night between 5-8pm, it's busy, I think 45 minutes is a reasonable amount of time to wait for my food. I'm very skeptical when I go to a busy drive through and my food is ready instantly, same with a full service restaurant. Unless the restaurant is empty, I shouldn't be getting my food in less than 10 minutes

The first reminds me of someone I know. She went to a local restaurant where she was upset by the name of an item. I don't recall what it was, but if I would deem it mildly out of date? She insisted that it was harmful to women. I'm a female who has been surrounded by feminists for years, had for a time thought of myself as one. I tried to see it from such an angle. I didn't think it was so bad. But she did, apparently yelled at the owner. He felt he couldn't just change it for her after years of it being a known dish andit had never upset anyone else. She went to social media, posted publicly about the menu and insisted on a boycott. Her like minded friends were divided and talked about the owner, his having a family. But nope, a problematic name was enough to take his place down if he didn't change the menu. I don't know what happened from there. I didn't care to follow any more. It was painful to watch.
