    I have the Garmin Lily in orchid purple. I get a lot of compliments on it because it is a beautiful watch. I'm on a Xiaomi kick right now, though.

    Your reviews are very helpful and I appreciate the factors you examine to see if they’re up to snuff! You’re saying how much more comfortable the Luxe band is was one of the reasons why I chose the Luxe 3 months ago. Just curious, have you compared fitness trackers in terms of not breaking down or not having tech problems after wearing them six months or even a year? Which fitness trackers are better made and won’t have you calling Tech Support? Thanks!

      I'm happy to hear you're finding my reviews helpful! And I have not done a video like that, as how long a watch will last really comes down to how you treat and care for your stuff, how much you use it and sometimes even luck (as random tech mechanical failures can happen). And I will say in terms of durability Garmin has been the best in my experience with none breaking down on me even after years, so longest lasting for me. I have done some long long-term watch updates/reviews for example my "Garmin Vivoactive 4S Still Worth It In 2023?" video. This was a watch released in 2019 I've had it for years and is still going strong. On the other hand, Fitbit has been the worst in durability over the years with parts breaking or tech failures needing to be replaced after just 7 months to 1 year sometimes, for various reasons like bands breaking, they stop charging, stopped syncing, wouldn't connect to the phone anymore, stopped step tracking etc. (I will say Fitbit customer service has been great in my experience and they can usually help you out). And of course, there are more brands in the middle but those are the top most and least durable in my experience.

      @@AbbyBReviewing This was really helpful. Thank you! Your comments especially about Fitbit hit home with me because I’ve already had to get a new Luxe within these three months of my having it as the Luxe screen went dark with 3 lines going across it and I take very good care of all of my technology. You were also right that the Fitbit customer service was quick to respond and sent me a new Luxe (just the watch). Thank you for your Garmin assessment. I would love to wear a Garmin but they are so big. I already wear a watch so I don’t want to wear two watches but rather my watch gifted to me from my mother and a fitness tracker like Luxe. The new Garmin Vivosmart 5 seems not too advanced for the price it costs. Otherwise, I would have considered it as it is narrow. I will have to see if you did a review of it. I totally trust your judgment. Again thank you.

      No problem, great to hear that was helpful :) And I have reviewed the Garmin Vivosmart 5 the review is here: ua-cam.com/video/7BqEa3WhXY4/v-deo.html and yes it is a fitness tracker not a smartwatch. So much like the Luxe it doesn't have all the typical smartwatch features like built in GPS for example.

    Thanks for the great review! I currently have the Luxe, but was looking at the Lily as I sometimes need the second hand like a traditional watch face has. Can you tell me when using the watch face with second hand on Lily, how long does it stay illuminated before turning off? I would need it to stay on for at least 15 seconds. Thanks!

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  6 місяців тому

      Hi, and thank you! There is no physical watch hands on the lily I have here but, there are some watch faces with watch hand options. The max I counted the digital display to stay lit was ~13 seconds with the longest timeout option.

    Thanks for the review. I am currently trying out both of these devices. I am finding that the Fitbit Luxe is giving me a lot more Active Zone Minutes than the Garmin Lily. Did you notice this? For instance, today Fitbit says 61 zone minutes whereas the Garmin is giving me 0 intensity minutes. That is a huge difference. Also, the Fitbit is recording many more steps (359) than the Garmin on the same walk. In your experience, which brand is more accurate?

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  10 місяців тому +3

      Hi, it may be your Fitbit and Garmin may have different settings as the active zone is usually records when ur heart rate or activity time meets a specific threshold. So your Fitbit may have a lower value needed to record an active zone session. And I do find most Garmin watches to be a bit more accurate for steps, over Fitbits, but it really depends on the specific watch.

    I have been eyeing both of these and was having trouble deciding. However, after watching your comparison, I just chose the Luxe with the Gorjana band. I like the features on the Lily better, but I prefer the jewelry look of the Luxe/Gorjana combo. Sadly the Lily doesn’t have good metal replacement band options and that is a dealbreaker for me. Fitbit had the Luxe on sale today for $89.95 and the Gorjana band on sale today for $59.95, so the $149.90 total was pretty much the same as the Lily, which was also on sale today for $149.99.

      I did the same thing. Got it on Sale! I purchased the Fitbit Charge 5 last week then came across the Luxe and loved the daintier look to it. AND keeping it on for sleep with a soft stretch band is way better. Thank you for the video I am always questioning if I made the right choice just because I want to look cute!

    Does the Lily track steps and everything else mentioned other than gps when the phone isn't connected and then syncs once it connects? Or does it only track when its connected constantly?
    Thanks

      @AbbyBReviewing  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, yes it tracks steps and more metrics when not connected the GPS.

    I've got a Fitbit Luxe and like all newer Fitbits on me, it has a fault where the heart rate will zoom up to a set number for no reason. 140 on this one, 185 on the Charge 2. My partner thinks it might be because it's too big on my 5.75" wrist, there's a gap at each end. So I have a Lily 2 on the way, and I'm hoping it'll fit more snugly. I need it for pacing with fatigue, and I hear the Body Battery function is amazing for that.

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  2 місяці тому

      Hello, i haven't had that issue with any of my Fitbit. If the heart rate sensor is flush against your wrist, it shows your results accurately. However, if it doesn't fit correctly, that could definitely skew results. I do find body battery to be pretty helpful, and hopefully, the Lily 2 works out for you!

    Does your fitbit luxe have a gap and fall off with the gorjana band? I've read multiple reviews stating this case 😢

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  Рік тому +1

      Hi, no it does not as you can see in the video. I definitely would have mentioned something like that. You can also see the Gorjana band on my Luxe more in my full review of the Luxe here if your interested ua-cam.com/video/tfC-CE7E45Q/v-deo.html

    I had a Garmin lily for about 2 or even 3 years, I bought it when it first came out. I liked it as my first smartwatch, but overall I wasn't very happy with it, it was still too big for my wrist, the sleep tracker was an absolute mess, and a battery life for me was 3 days or even less. Now I have set my eyes to Fitbit luxe and have seen many review videos and I am sure I'll get this one soon because I stopped wearing my Garmin lily because I got annoyed with the battery life but I still want something pretty to track time, steps, sleep etc.

      Oh, that's interesting. I've never heard anyone say the Lily was too big. You will definitely see a sleep trcaking upgrade with the Luxe. And thanks for sharing.

    Merci beaucoup, j'hésite encore entre les 2 car j'ai vraiment un tout petit poignet... Est ce que toutes les deux se connectent à Google Fit ? Merci

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  11 місяців тому

      Bonjour, je pense que l'application Fitibt peut être connectée à l'application GoogleFit. Cependant, ces smartwatches ne se connecteront respectivement qu'aux applications Fitbit et Garmin. Et vous obtiendrez le plus d'informations et la meilleure expérience en utilisant l'application native Garmin et l'application Fitbit.

    Did you say Garmin has a GPS? I have Garmin Lily sport and it does not have a GPS, it is also most useless smart watch. I have ever had, it does not track your swimming unless you bring your phone to the pool, the same walk distance is tracked differently each say, the body battery gets stuck at 5% all the time, and it stopped connecting with my phone. I curse the day I bought it😢😢😢

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  10 місяців тому +2

      No, they both have connected GPS, that piggybacks off your smartwatch to do GPS activities. And sorry to hear your not liking it, I definitely get that I prefer a more powerful watch myself. And the body battery issue your having shouldn't be happening so I'd definitely reach out to Garmin and see if they can help you out.
