It looks like Genshin is about to shake things up in version 5.2 with massive buffs to elemental reactions that could change the way we play the game. If these changes are true, they’ll unlock a ton of new team compositions and give your favorite characters a serious damage boost. This could be one of the biggest updates we’ve seen in a while! So, in today’s video, i’ll talk about the latest info on which reactions are getting buffed in version 5.2 and how these changes could change your gameplay.
The source of this info is Uncle Balls-yeah, it's kind of a strange name, but still. According to them, it seems that Superconduct, Electro-Charged, Overloaded, and Shatter will all get huge buffs in 5.2.
Superconduct is going from a 0.5 multiplier to a massive 1.5. This could make Superconduct much more relevant for physical damage teams, especially for characters like Eula.
Electro-Charged will jump from 1.2 to 2.0. That’s almost double, meaning Electro-Charged teams are going to get a huge power boost. Think of characters like Raiden Shogunm change will significantly improve her damage output.
Overloaded is also getting buffed, going from a 2.0 multiplier to 2.75. Overloaded is already known for its high burst damage, but with this buff, it could become a top-tier reaction in certain team comps.
Finally, Shatter is getting a dramatic boost, going from a 1.5 to 3.0 multiplier. Shatter has always been a bit underwhelming, but this buff could turn it into a viable option for, once again Eula as an example.
Before these buffs, let’s be real-most players didn’t prioritize Superconduct, Electro-Charged, Overloaded, or Shatter in their team builds. These reactions were considered a bit niche, often overshadowed by stronger or more reliable reactions like Vaporize or Melt. Sure, they had their uses, but for many, they were seen as situational or secondary at best.

Having buffs to cryo reactions is wild, cryo was getting abandonned lately and it's really cool to know they're doing something !

It makes sense to buff Cryo reactions now though. It'll increase hype for the Archon for the next version.
The only cryo reaction they are buffing are the two worst reactions in the game which are shatter and superconduct. This will literally change nothing in the meta game. If they wanted to make cryo stronger, they would make Freeze work on bosses, or use Mavuika to consistently apply Pyro for melt. Cryo will only get strong in Snezhnaya since we already had a time where cryo was the strongest element

As a Wriothesley main user, my only reaction damage were superconduct and shatter. So glad that this update will help him in the long run.
P.S. I do not have strong Pyro just yet as I'm waiting for Mavuika
Xiangling is free though haha, everyone has a strong pyro.
Though I understand if you have to upgrade her still waiting for Mavuika is probably nicer

They need to do something about freeze reactions against bosses. Like make bosses charge attack slower than usual tho it might still not help but if you can't freeze enemies then they have to do something that will like electro charge where they take DoT dmg.

I just saw Chasca's gameplay with enemies and if this info is true.....then she's gonna do massive dmg through reactions, she literally obliviates the entire area!!! And plus point is I think she doesn't need other teammates to infuse their elements with her attacks, her Flying-Bazooka does everything
She just needs teammates with different elements to go crazy

Overload getting buffed is way more huge then you guys think
Overlord was already really good because of chevereuse
But now if you use a team comp like raiden, sara, bennet and chevereuse or even replace bennet by the pyro archon and use em raiden you could be dealing INSANE damage
As a sara simp with c6 this is great news for me
What's more huge is the fact that Raiden national is going to get better 😭
This team comp does not make sense as overload, theres not enough overload reactions to build em Raiden, if you build Em Raiden Sara loses its value.

But seriously, Raiden National, Clordinde with Chev and maybe Freminet will see improvements (Freminet is kinda weak so maybe not that much).
chev never buffed overload. Overload is currently one of the worst reactions out there. Her buffs gave dmg bonus and shred to pyro and electro, while overload still did the pitiful damage. Its like saying Navia buffing crystallize, these units don't buff the reactions like Nilou does, they simply use it as a medium in their kit

@@beautifulafrica4596 Totally misunderstood the point. The numbers you see are their personal dmg. The overload damage is pitiful. Play the team, take a screenshot and see the small number when it says overload.

I don't have Eula but i main Chongyun way back 1.0 to 1.5 so if shatter will be having this huge buff Chongyun and Freminet is surely having a huge boost to their damage as on field DPS.

My Razor is still my current main after 3 years of playing, dealing 32k per average hit, now this update makes it go even higher (if that's confirmed).
If the info here is correct then he will not deal more damage per hit, but there will be additional damage based on superconduct :)
A big update comes with Mavuika, which can be considered a very epic debut for our cool Pyro Archon 🔥🔥🔥

Can't believe it took this long considering how dendro basically powercrept every previous reactions.
Dendro? these reactions were already in need of a buff since 1.X considering how much stronger vape (and melt) have always been compared to the others.
I wish we get something related to hyperbloom too. I mean I know it's certainly strong but like it's DMG is kinda limited, no matter what you do it won't go over 30-40k dmg per hyperbloom. While the enemies and bosses getting more hp this number will soon be overshadowed by other reactions that can get stronger infinitely.
hyperbloom is like the best reaction in the game? there is no need for a boost.
Finally, my raiden overload team will become even stronger
I hope the shatter one is accurate. I have a shatter based Freminet team because I love him but lets be honest; no one uses a team like this because it's efficient or powerful. If I want to be done with things quickly then I basically have to use bloom but like, I want other reactions to have a chance at being as powerful.
im so glad they're finally doing something about cryo, I haven't used ganyu in so long (even though there's melt but I use pyro for vape) but that's mainly because I don't have a 5 star bow. its hard to hit big numbers with prototype crescent when most enemies now have no weak point
I cant believe that overloaded is being buffed. It's litteraly the best option for low Pyro applying dps and electro dps if you have C6 Chevreuse. It doesn't really need a buff

This is the first time I've heard of an elemental reaction called shatter. And I've been playing this game for 3 months.
Took them too long! Finally!
Now, I just hope for Albedo's kit buff. His elemental skill should be indestructible (Can only be destroyed by using it again). His whole kit revolves around his elemental skill, without it he is doing nothing! It's so easy for it to get destroyed.

Electrocharged 1.2 to 2.0 and overload from 2.0 to 2.75..... My Raiden national will slap haaaaaaaaaarrrd because electro and hydro aura remain for a bit, long enough for xiangling pyronado to hit and trigger both vaporize and overload while raiden's electro and xingqiu's hydro is ticking. Thats a straight buff for my mommy

I want geo buff other than a small bubbly shield they should ad up something op to geo reaction like those small shields burst damage on expiry or blow up when broken for aoe damage

I think this change would make vaporize the weakest of the bunch and kinda pointless as Superconduct and Electrocharged can be triggered between enemies faster then a vape.
As for the shatter... for double cryo and double hydro teams it seems as an ok bonus though those teams prefer to keep enemy frozen most of the time. If you try to trigger it with geo however, you are missing out on elemental resonance because you will have 3 different elements in your team. That is to say they should make Shatter deal even more damage when triggered by Geo. Think of it that way: you need to apply both cryo and hydro then use geo precisely after the enemy is frozen and not before because you would trigger Crystalize instead. Physical damage doesn't have that issue because it doesn't interfere with either hydro or cryo themself. Waiting and timing things just for shatter to happen should be worth the wasted time and the loss of elemental resonance. Ergo i think it should deal more damage when triggered by geo damage.

A boost in the dmg multipliers don't change the reactions. Eula's damage isnt the problem, physical is her problem and this doesnt change that.
Finally, my Eula would now probably be on par with my current dps :)

I don't know about you but I'm still Running Raiden Taser with Jean Furina Yelan still now and get the job done in abyss. This team comp is already realllyyy good on 1 to 2 enemies already this buff will really furthers the damage output

I'm super happy about this change, love overloaded, so much fun. But what about burning? No reason why an enemy literally on fire would take hardly any damage. Hoyo needs to give burning some love too
Okay a buff to reactions would be very good. Personally i have team comps for almost all the type of reactions. Ngl some are quite lacking even at lvl 70. Hopefully this update gives us the numbers we looking for even before lvl90. Also I won my 50/50 and have Xilonen! Next up Nahida!!
Even if shatter gets buffed it will still be useless unless enemies are frozen. It would be nice if they add some sort of debuff aura on enemies that can't get frozen like Frostbite or something that would allow us to constantly shatter even without the character being frozen ven if it's half of the original shatter damage on a frozen enemy. 😅
That aside the changes aforementioned were indeed nice if they are true, hopefully. 🤞
