I often get asked if you can bleach hair extensions or if you can add highlights to a hair topper. And even though I always say that it's not recommended because you can ruin your alternative hair but today I wanted to show you a way and how you can do it. The key is to use virgin human hair. Which in our case is our darkest shade in hair extensions that would be off black and in the hair toppers it is Dark Roast Shade. Virgin Hair means that the hair has never been processed before. This hair will take bleach quickly and there isn't going to be any damage to the hair. Hope you like this video. Leave me a comment below with your thoughts.

We need more information, like how to mix the bleach mixture, what products you recommend, and can you bleach light brown-colored extensions to platinum blonde?

I wouldn't recommend bleaching already colored hair extensions. It will not lift the bleach. The hair has to be virgin hair in order to work. Regarding bleach I just bought bleach and developer in sally's beauty supply store and followed the directions on how to mix.

Just bleached my colored hair extensions from light brown to medium blonde and used 20 vol and it worked very well

jet black is usually brown virgin hair colored to jet black, which probably wouldn't work, but you could test a small portion and see if it works.

Idk what they put on these damn extensions, but I literally have to bleach them over night. I used 30 developer and all of my extensions fell apart. Spent so much money just for them to crumble.

then they probably have some coating that can't be bleached, they have to be 100% human hair in order to bleach the hair extensions.
