Hi great work I love watching your video's with my little great grandson he is two and lives all the machinery he pretends he is cutting grass with his tractor best wishes from the South East Coast of Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks Steve! I am getting alot of feedback that the timelapse is popular so I will try to do more of it in the future! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have been watching your channel for a while. I recently purchased a KX057-4 based on the functionality you have shown on your channel. I recently started videoing my work. I had never ran any heavy equipment prior to my purchase. Best decision ever. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your content.
Good points about bigger machines. Buddy of mine runs two Cat 316s with DENIS CIMAF DAH-150 mulcher heads and would make quick work of that, but it costs much more to maintain and haul that machine there for the same job.
It's troubling to see those few trees go down. I'm sure the owner had a reason for that, but it just seems that even farmers should keep a few trees around. They do help clean the air and cool the Earth.
Trees and grass are vary good along creeks, ponds, and water ways the roots help hold the banks together but weeds are not good In my opinion there should be a strip if grass and trees along any water way or pond. And I live on a farm and been either farming or helping farmers my whole life in minnesota
I have to agree with you on the coat of a skid steer and mulching head is not cheap I watch John with Updates brush control and he says it expensive, anywho I love the work/channel God bless yah from Gaffney SC.
It works. Do the people that say this or that would be better, actually do the job or are in the business? We all get to choose what we do and what we need to do something with.Keep up the good work. Keep moving forward.
Thanks Carl! We have to work with what we have and this is what I have to get the job done. As long as I get the job done safe, meet the client's expectations for quality and price then everything is good!
You should consider looking into getting one of these types of brush cutters for your skid steer. I bet it would be faster in situations like this when you have a lot of flat spots and because they are a bit bigger. If your having overheat problems with the camera, you could try buying one of those rechargeable fans and blowing air across the camera to help cool it off a little bit. I was wondering if it was possible to add extra weight to the counterweight on the back of the machine? Maybe you could drill and weld a couple of posts to the counterweight and you could go and buy a bunch of the large size weights you would use on dumb bells and bolt them to the back to help add a bit more weight to help with more stability in these situations. I say bolt them so they can be removable so you can take them off again when you don't need them.
Have ya' all considered using goats? They would go into areas that munchie wouldn't. (Steeper, etc. ) Then after 2 or 3 trips for the goats, they would have the area pretty clear, even of smaller trees. Saves on the gas bill too.
If you just left the arm in one position as much as possible and just swing the house as you move forward, you would get better results in a shorter time
I also wonder about the unnatural shape of the pond. Is it an old borrow pit or landfill or drainage sump or nature reserve or maybe a gator farm, or was it created for purely aesthetic reasons?
WOW ‼️ how long did it take for ALL of this to grow back ❓. YOU'RE not going to have time for anything else, because you're always at the snake pond.🤷🏽
Why didn’t you use the XC5? In the past you have said it is faster. From what I’ve seen you do in the past it seems like there was nothing too big in this job that the XC5 couldn’t have gone through. I ask because you have a setup that I am highly considering buying for my land and the possibility of hiring out as a side business. Great videos by the way. You have covered and shown a lot of good points.
What I don't understand is why you didn't move into the area that you cut then went from there. Unless it wasn't as flat as the video shows. Other than that very good video, quite enjoyable. Thank you!
Great question Daniel! The ground wasn't as flat as it seemed and I wanted to open it up along the whole thing so I could get a better idea of the lay of the land and see if there was any standing water in there.
I love fast forward.. it’s gets frustrating when u can’t go fast to cut these down… take care of your truck please. And maybe your wife will come back from shopping for a present for u.
@@idigit4967 Several years ago i lived in Panama City, FL and this excavator guy was clearing a lot for the land owner. He came across a body propped up against a fence. Cops got there there was a gun there and his belongings, his ID so they went to the address and then talked with neighbors and they told the police for several months the man told them he was moving back to where he came from on a such and such date. So they never thought anything about it even with his lawn grown up. The excavator said he had came across news paper machines and safes but never a body. Later on he was clearing a lot on Panama City beach when he came across another body. Police got there the guy had his ID and he had been reported missing 5 years earlier by his girlfriend. They had gotten into a argument and he left saying he was going to the bus station and going out of town. The bus station was 25 miles from him in Panama City so for whatever reason he stopped at the lot and it was winter time. They said they found pill bottles nearby but only bones they couldnt say how he died. Havent heard the guy has found anymore bodies since then.
I have a Kubota KX040 plus a FX26 defender mulcher. So far the mulcher has had two new motors since every time it accidentally mulches on something too large it stops and eventually breaks. Does your KX057 have some kind of bypass to prevent high pressure when the mulcher stops?? What mulcher are you using? Surprised my mulcher does not have a pressure release bypass circuit but apparently Kubota has a pressure release system you can add. Does anyone have experience with this issue??
LOL pretty much! Yeah it will definitely grow back, I think the owner may have me come once a year in the future to keep everything maintained! Thanks for watching and commenting Cyndi!
LOL Well I didn't nickname it that, I think the viewers did LOL! I mentioned a little kid who watches my channel calls it munchie and it kinda took off from there LOL!
First thing that popped into my head " why did mr digit give his wife his credit card?" 👩🦱 That's a big ticket item: the best buy guy may oversell her...(•_•)
I couldn't help wondering about the bird house I saw lying partway in the pond last blog. Was there a trailer home there at some point or was it just dumped there or what? I am also interested to know how that pond came to be because it doesn't look natural. Is it a drainage sump or an old landfill or a borrow pit or did somebody have it created purely for it's aesthetic value?
Put that thing on the ground and keep sweeping it, you back up not cutting anything, put it on the ground and let it do its job. I’ll jump forward and see what it looks like,
Hi great work I love watching your video's with my little great grandson he is two and lives all the machinery he pretends he is cutting grass with his tractor best wishes from the South East Coast of Ireland 🇮🇪
I agree, watching the video in fast forward makes for a lot more entertaining video.
Awesome, thank you for the feedback Diane!
I like watching these at 2x speed. When it kicks in to fast in the video itself, it's funny to watch all that stuff get mowed down. Lol
perfect balance of explanation, live action, and time lapse.. don't change a thing! great machines, great production.. just awesome vids!
That was a big job! I find watching these big jobs in fast forward very mesmerizing! lol...I do enjoy your productions and watching your day's work!
Thanks Steve! I am getting alot of feedback that the timelapse is popular so I will try to do more of it in the future! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@idigit4967 At 2X playback speed, the timelapse segments are fantastic techno music videos.

Awesome man! The 57-4 is a great machine! Cotontop3 loves his, I see it all the time on his channel! Have fun running your new machine!
Hi from Australia, just stumbled upon this and i find it strangely satisfying to watch in fast motion, your machine is just so cool. 😁
This is really satisfying to watch. Also this is why it's a good idea to mow dams, ditches, and other waterways whenever you can.
Thanks Shawn! Glad you enjoyed watching! I agree, you have to keep areas like that maintained!

..watching this is like keeping ur eye on the light at the end of the tunnel..u'll get there eventually..🥤🥤🧃
After all the work you did around the pond, you think that they would mow it a couple of time a year to keep it in check.
Good job...that's a cattle egret...they hang around cows and eat bugs that cows stir up when they walk !
I could sit and watch this all day. lol so interesting and relaxing for me. Not for you I’m sure! Great job!
Thanks Jodie! Glad you enjoyed watching! More stuff to come in the future so stay tuned!
Id like to have a job doing this All day long...Cant do that in the Big City ( my area) though..
I'm impressed with the mulcher on that size of a kubota!.
Such an open area after all that cutting makes it look so much larger than before.
I know right! It does look so much bigger now for sure!
Beautiful. Nice that you left the willow. Cleaning up doesn't mean stripping the land. Looks great.
Thank you Rose! I do like to leave some trees where needed!
I love how Munchie inhales those branches like a vacuum cleaner! So fun to watch.
The way the thing works is just like a vacuum LOL! Except there is no bag to empty!
It came out great mate. I’m looking forward to the second part 🤙😎🇦🇺
Good for u, explaining the process and cost. Thank u
It's troubling to see those few trees go down. I'm sure the owner had a reason for that, but it just seems that even farmers should keep a few trees around. They do help clean the air and cool the Earth.
They may look like trees but they are really just overgrown weeds.

man a swivel chair is a must with these videos I catch myself moving the chair to the excavator boom.
🤣
They are All, Yearlings , because it Only takes up to 3yrs. Ish .
Say 1 in. A year..
Nice job as always..😎👍
Good job brother. Man the rest of it grew up quick since you were there last
Thanks Jeff! I know right! I was pretty surprised the growth in just 2 months! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Very satisfying to watch, thanks 😊
Just keep doing what you are doing. Love watching

I was enjoy watching pros work. I would like to see a drone shot of before and after on a job this size.
That machine is amazing. What it munches is some ting else. thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you Dyana! It definitely is amazing for sure! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I enjoy wacthing this job of yours
That time lapse was fire 🔥
Thanks Allan! Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks good…great job !
If that were my property I would be extremely happy with the results you are obtaining with your chosen equipment ! Just sayin .
Did u just reply to ur own comment...

It seems like a brush cutter would be faster than that machine.
Yes on flat ground it would, Excavator is great for banks and ditches.
For this kinda stuff I think the mulcher is better and leaves a better mulch on the ground.
If you just left the arm in one position as much as possible and just swing the house as you move forward, you would get better results in a shorter time
love this type of content. Totally satisfying job well done. Have you thought of drone shots to show more overview?
Like the sped up videos when doing a lot of this type of work!
Thank for the feedback Allan! The next vid coming out will have time lapse as well so stay tuned!
I also wonder about the unnatural shape of the pond.
Is it an old borrow pit or landfill or drainage sump or nature reserve or maybe a gator farm, or was it created for purely aesthetic reasons?
That will be some rich soil when the mulch breaks down.
For sure!
You are getting really good with munchie.
Thanks Richard! I am definitely getting the hang of that thing for sure!
Reminds me of a hungry dinosaur, munching his way consuming everything in his path.
If the owner would spray a little Garlon and roundup when the shoots started coming back, he would save big bucks in the future.
I know nothing about Garlon, but Roundup causes cancer. Hiring this guy to come back to do additional clearing would create a job.
WOW ‼️ how long did it take for ALL of this to grow back ❓. YOU'RE not going to have time for anything else, because you're always at the snake pond.🤷🏽
Imagine this thing during a zombie apocalypse.. Fine compost for everyone!
A big orange cow for the birds. Haha
Just love watching my friend, u remind me every time why I subbed u🥰👍
Daven if you don't mind i would like too knoww how many years has it been since you have worked all of your machines
I bet that machine gives those snakes an headache!!!!!
New GoPro6 is the boss!
Awesome video brother
it sounds as if the cutter slows way down when cutting maybe only with bigger stuff, seems like it needs more cowbell

Would it be easier to do work like this when the leaves have fallen off the trees?

My birthday is in October. I want on of those machines!
Ground bees and yellow jackets are the worst!
I wonder how many biting critter homes you just took out? Lol 😂
I hope all of them LOL!
Youve gotten quite smooth since you bought your mulcher!
Thank you! I am definitely getting the hang of it!
looks like expensive shredder... what is productivity and efficiency in acreage like?
Lmao this man said she might come back with half best buy in her car hahaha I'm dead
Mulch every snake you can find !!!
Nice job and video like always
Gosh those berries came back fast.
SALUDOS. DIGIT4, ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS G.B.Y.
Thanks Josian!
Well done!
Thank you Rosa!
I love fast forward.. it’s gets frustrating when u can’t go fast to cut these down… take care of your truck please. And maybe your wife will come back from shopping for a present for u.
I hope your machine has ac or it would be one hot day of brush cutting
When having underbrush cut how many times a year does it need to be done and what season of the year is best to do it?
For most of the lots I maintain we do 2 cuttings a year, on in late spring and another in early to mid fall.

The ground bees just seem to find you anywhere.
Now if that ain't the damn truth LOL!
So how long does the blade (s) on this last before you need to sharpen or replace? (Dont hate, I dont understand, just curious)
Plants will just keep growing right back. Doze it clear with a dozer rake
Like giving the jungle a hair cut. Its going to grow back, unless some other action prevents tree growth.
LOL pretty much! Yeah it will definitely grow back, I think the owner may have me come once a year in the future to keep everything maintained! Thanks for watching and commenting Cyndi!

LOL I don't think that's going to be on the menu LOL!
My gosh owner did not keep up with mowing around the pond to bad. It would have looked so nice.
I wonder how the property owners clean up the area????
PLEASE say you DID not nickname that new cutter "Munchie" oh Lord we are rolling now, getter done and let her eat....
LOL Well I didn't nickname it that, I think the viewers did LOL! I mentioned a little kid who watches my channel calls it munchie and it kinda took off from there LOL!
l could watch this machine for an hour......Oh wait....I just did.
I wish you'd give us price estimates on all of your videos so we can get an idea of what the cost is for what you're doing

Got stung as a teen by ground yellow jackets they are mean as f!
I enjoy to see this amazing technology but i did not see any cobra or anaconda haha
I love watching the video awesome work but I don't understand why pay all that money out and then let it grow back
Nice but bird cant live.Fry away.Good job!
How much a hour do you charge?? Or is it a secret!!
You need a drone!
Amen~!

Cool Toy🙈🙉🙊💗.....👌👀👌👍😎

i would love to have a go on that
You just need to put this land owner under a maintenance contract. Clearly he isn't gonna take care of it himself.
I bet diesel is killing your profit. How much diesel will you use on a job like this.
Just how many snakes did you see on this site ?
Total, between this job and when I was there a couple months prior, I think 3.
How much did that maulcher cost you?
