This is about the third time I’ve seen this video and it never gets boring. It is so relaxing to watch you cutting these fields and you do such an awesome job doing it. Keep up the great work.
Fingers crossed it’s a simple problem !!! This is a job I would love to do, turning that mess into a great wide open space !!! I get great satisfaction just watching, I can just imagine the satisfaction I would get to look back and tell myself ‘I did that’ !!! 👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
I don't know why it is so satisfying to watch the brush hog working this way, but I got the same satisfaction when we were having the railroad right of way mowed, when I was a section foreman. I guess it is the way the land looks after the cutting is done.
The code is because you are putting the pump under to much stress. Y'all need to keep the engine from bogging down. If the engine ain't stressed, the pump ain't stressed. Don't let the engine bog down to hard and you'll be fine.
cut straight lines in front of the treeline and then clean them up when the field is mowed. You're using hp your mower deck needs when you keep that machine in a turn all the time. Notice your blade speed pick up when you're straight.
Interesting to see how easily sweetgum trees take hold most everywhere. Looks like the most prolific tree there is. And they seem to grow amazingly fast too.
Agreed. I personally don’t have a problem with them but when they get big they start dropping those little spikey gum balls and a lot of people hate those things.
Would love to drive one of those machines, but at 83 years of age, I don't know if i would be allowed. These videos relax 😌 me. You did a great 👍 job 👏. I'm a fan from New Zealand.
A man after my own heart, I always like to cut in long straight lines. Cutting off curves and straightening the field cut lines looks better, and makes it easier to cut.
Oh yes, when you started straightening out the curves in your mow lines, my OCD thanked you over & over!! 😂😉 Another great video & why I love your channel. 👏💯👏
I think it is funny the number of "experts" that tell you how to mow or suggest other patterns...obviously they are professionals at bush hogging an overgrown field even though they have never done it themselves. I thought you were doing a great job and getting things looking good. Thanks for sharing. There is just something satisfying about seeing a job well done.
Just a question. Would it not have been easier to find somebody with 5075 goats and turn them loose in that area then to use your tractor to cut it all down?? Seems to me it would be a lot better for the ground to have the goats eat it up and drop it behind them. That many goats could really didn’t the brush!!
Pice of goats 🐐 100$ each… so 507500$ for a mulching job ? And what do you do with the goats afterwards? Half a million dollars. I don’t have this kind of money and his customer seems not too, so…
I grew up close to a bayou in southeast texas.. During the summer we would find snakes ...copperheads ....water moccison laying on the tree limbs over hanging the water waiting to drop on a unsuspecting frog fish ect to eat.. These snakes was huge ..6 ft and big as a mans arm ...pellet rifles had very little effect on them ..
You will be fine brother. That tall grass is a ton of stress on the engine and it builds up in your particulate exhaust. Just run a force regen to burn up all the unburned diesel in the exhaust.. great job.
? High stress equal high exhaust temperature. So the dpf itself should be able to do a passive regeneration while operating. Under normal conditions and clean air filters.
@@historicbeef actually having been designing engines you are correct in normal towing applications where engine rpm and fuel are running parallel. In this case your statement doesn’t really apply. Running Lean (low fuel to high air ratio) causes engine heat, in this type of equipment the hydraulic system forces engine rpm to stall but not the fuel system. Yes it increases the heat in the combustion system but not burning all the excess fuel due to lack of rpm. This clogs the exhaust DPF. The system is only designed to burn off 75hp worth of UN-burned fuel for his unit. However that’s also in a optimal condition which is not under continuous load of UN-burned fuel. I hope this helps brother.. Good chat man.
I do this kind of work and have a suggestion. Go more slowly through the heavy stuff. If you have to keep stopping to let the machine spool up then you’re going too fast.
Does the client have any possible future development plans for the property? Or just wants it cleaned up and maintained. I don't know how it works there, but where I live city and county officials will give landowners grief and even fines if the land isn't kept maintained to a certain degree. Hoping to catch your thoughts on that, great job as usual by the way! 👍👍
When diesels get hot you let them idle, so that they continue to circulate coolant. Heavy brush/pollen may have clogged up your filters causing the engine to run hot. Best wishes.
Yeah I let it idle down after it threw the code but when it threw the code it wasn’t running hot. The engine temp was in the middle of the gauge. It was saying the fuel in the tank was getting hot, not necessarily the engine.
@@idigit4967 When mowing in late summer heavy brush/pollen conditions you need to clear your filters more often. Your engine codes will react slower to over heating and then suddenly. More preemptive maintenance is necessary. You do a fine job for your clients. Best wishes.
Use to work for the county road crew when I was a kid. 80 horse Ford tractors with 6 foot bushhog on the right side. Hydraulic driven. Cant be stopped. Would literally cut through anything. Anyway, the setup is two of these tractors cutting one side of the road. One up front to cut the right away and another behind to finish up to the tree line. Well, one day me another guy was cutting this country road. His name was CJ. CJ for County Jail. Yes, he was an idiot. He was up front doing the first pass when I noticed he would look at me, grin, and look back to where he was mowing. He did this several times when all of sudden animal parts come flying out from his mower. The dumb ass had run over a dead dog laying on the side of the road. It was awful. The smell was beyond belief not to mention the sight of it. None of it got on me thank God. I think I would still be throwing up if it did.
Did you have your hydraulic flow turned up and or throttle? It sounds like it bogging down cutting that grass. My lil tractor with a 5 foot brush hog cuts stuff like that all the time with no problem.
Let us know what you find out. I'm curious if you had an air filter and/or radiator clogged up and it wasn't cooling well. Also curious about if you were losing hydraulic pressure on some of those areas for the same reason.
I would be double-cutting most of that. Pass back the opposite direction where you just came from. That’s me. I like it neat. I see too many half-ass mowing jobs around me.
Believe it or not I find these types of videos satisfying and relaxing. I can only imagine how many snakes and such get chopped up in that. I would have both this and that super cruncher machine that just crunches small trees and what not. Seen it in another video where the guy was clearing the edges of a lake.
Hi. I just found your channel and it's totally mesmerising. Subbed immediately and I will be back for more..... Thank you very much. You work very hard and your machine's are next level.... Awesome!!
Hello. I find these video's so relaxing??? I don't do anything like this. I was a nurse, retired now. Question, Have you ever killed anything? Baby deer, birds, raccoons...??? I've always thought that they'd get outta your way, yet maybe not. And I've wondered if you've come across a wasp's or bees nest??? Ouch...Keep up the amazing work.
If I have killed anything, I didn't know it. I have come across several bee and wasp nests, there are some vids on my channel of these encounters so check them out!
nice job but the equipment seems a tad undersized and under powered. Good healthy growth, so satifying to turn it back into the earth, is this once or twice a year cut? Now bigfoot has to step back to the woods edge where he belongs.
This is about the third time I’ve seen this video and it never gets boring. It is so relaxing to watch you cutting these fields and you do such an awesome job doing it. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Bob! Going back out to the snake pond this week to do some more bush hogging so stay tuned!

Thought the same, looks like someone had randomly sprayed round up, weird
Doesn’t look like they’re taking care of it for sure.
At the end of each day it must be so satisfying for you to look at what you started to when you finish, fantastic job x

If you trim them up, their not too bad of a shade tree. Kind of like a maple tree.

They can eat up acres in just a few years. Blackberries almost as bad.
