- このロケットストーブは、上昇する炎（熱源）を囲み下に導くことにより暖房ヒーターのように使うことができる工夫されたストーブです。この内部をお見せし、その作り方を説明します。再度組み立て、着火のところまで完全公開です。↓のリンクでこのストーブを焚いている様子を写しています。
This is the well designed rocket mass stove that let the jet like fire turns around inside so that it can be used just like a heater. You will see the design and inside construction, disassemble and make up for the final ignition.

暖かい椅子にするのも面白いし、上を開けれて蓋もつければ、必要に応じてコンロにしたりできますね～

very good design and efficient oven. however i was wondering if the concentrated heat generated spreading on the upper tumbler for a long time, whether the shouldered part,( bottom and side) will not give way after some time. just a remark ! Anand from Mauritius

ペール缶2個使うロケットストーブ、ほぼ同じ構造のこれをコンクリで作ったことがあります。缶の上の鉄板が熱ですぐにダメになるのが難点。
色々な動画を参考に初めて作ってみました。ロケットストーブ素晴らしいですね。

Hi Nikos, the sand inside the stove is vermiculite. You should be able to get it from the gardening store. You can substitute it with any type of sand or particle of rocks because it is for insulating the burner pipe.
I'm not sure what you mean by pipe shape. My suggestion is to replace the messy vermiculite with perlite. Here in Kyushu we can get it in many grades. I think a coarse grade will work well. I think the pottery component is a good idea but like higher grade SS will add to the weight. I was not thinking about the burn path and perlite.

OK. You meant use of perlite particle for vermiculite. I thought replacement of the Stainless Steel pipe with light gauge with the solid perlite pipe or some other construction like plates to make the burn chamber and the flue
above. Anyway thanks for your suggestion.

nice stove, I have similar plans along those lines... my only concern is how long light gauge steel will last
先日作成し、飯盒炊爨や秋刀魚焼きに挑戦しました！秋刀魚には向いていないようで、結局台所で焼きましたｗｗ

I'm impressed with the simplicity of your design. I wonder how many burning hours can be obtained from such light gauge SS, and see that as an only concern. Have you tried using perlite? A lot less messy.

thank you for your comment. yes we do have a concern especially the elbow pipe where the wood burns. so we curled the steel sheet and inserted it between the two elbows, the hottest area.
上部に鍋を置いても煤がつかないので合理的ですね。
いろいろ観ましたがペール缶ロケットストーブではこの衣笠式が一番シンプルで使い勝手がよさそうですね
他のは煮炊きに特化した偏った用途のものばかり
この構造なら中で芋も焼けそうですね
Thanks for your comment. Yes, we have the same concern as to the life of the thin wall of the SS pipe. We put a small piece of pipe at the bottom inside for some protection. Perlite could be a good material for the burn path. Do you know how it shall be applied to the pipe shape? We are looking for the pottery pipe to replace the SS pipe now.
秋刀魚も焼きましたか！金網＋魚だとロケット炎のススが付くかもしれませんね。鉄板を入れて金網だとススは付かないかもしれません。でも秋刀魚は炭で焼くのが美味しいかも？

消火後の片付けの時ではなく使用の最中に焚口に貯溜まる灰はどうするのでしょうか？灰も吹き飛んで溜らないのでしょうか？

Use 80% vermiculite 20% low/no crack concrete mix with low water/moisture, no pipes needed....

Evaporate motor oil (oliv).
炊き込み口をT継ぎ手にした方が使い勝手が良くなる。
いわゆるマスヒーターですね。オリジナルのアイデアはあるのでしょうか？
衣笠に聞いてみなければ正確にはわかりませんが、やかんで湯を沸かしたい、しかも煤が付かないようにしたところは独自かな？と思います。

焚き口が水平が多いけどこの様にするメリット有りますか？
燃料の木は縦に入れた方が自重で中に(下に)入つて行くので圧到的に楽だと思います。
ペール缶下側の持ち手の取り付け部分を活かしたいものですね。
うちの方じゃ条例かなんかで、野外で火をたけないので、通報厨からサーッと隠す必要があるので。

エントツの高さより、投入する木の量(と木と木の隙間)の調整方が良い燃焼にとって大切です。

なぜ断熱材が必要なんですか？
断熱材を入れると煙道に強い上昇気流が生まれます。よって焚きロから空気がすい込まれます。
断熱なしでも使えるかもしれませんが、空気すい込みが弱く、又はストーブ全体が熱くなりロケットのような火流は弱いと思われます。

木というものは、煙が燃焼ガスとなって燃焼する一方で、
火がつき真っ赤になった熾きの状態もまた、高カロリーを発する。
例えば鉄を精製するときは、その熾きに風を当てて高熱を作り出す。
その残りが真っ白の灰となる。
