It's amazing that fans defend the Bucks against people like Punk...when the Bucks have had the reputation of not wanting to do business, complaining about veterans and not ever letting a perceived slight go. The only difference is Punk will argue and fight...whether or not he wins is a different story while The Bucks go to the "wrestling media" and have them tell everyone how great they are.
They are sad twinks that never got told no growing up. And now they think they’ve revolutionized the business, when in fact they fucking eviscerated it and make a complete mockery.
Punk re-signing with the WWE would be the final blow imo to AEW. The fact that these clowns have executive positions in the 2nd biggest promotion in America is an absolute joke. Imagine celebrating your power struggle victory in front of half empty arenas and shitty ratings every week, and thinking you're doing something special.
Edge aka Adam Copeland's AEW debut only drew 850k viewers compared to Punk's AEW debut that did 1.25 million. So that makes Punk a bigger draw than Edge.
@@TheMrAlgoh but what happened in the 'key demo'?... I will never NOT find it funny how they harp on about that, especially when Tony Khan tried to claim that AEW was more popular than Fox News (who at the time were getting 3m total viewers!) The really dumb thing about that is it ignores how many people were bought in to wrestling by older family members - the key demo may matter to advertisers (well, apart from ones like Domino's who don't want anything to do with AEW...), but the future of the industry needs an audience in the other segments

I'm still amazed that it's Kenny Olivier that's now Corny's least hated member of the elite. He still hates him. But the vitriol for Hangma'am Page is worse and all of them pale in comparison to the Buckaroos.
Remember when the executive vice presidents of AEW got in a fist fight with an employee twice their age? Any other job they'd be fired and millions would have been paid in lawsuits.
I remember them saying they went and just wanted to talk. But now when Punk tries to talk to them their lawyer sends a cease and desist order. You can't make this up.
Corny said it rightly. You go to the circus and see the trapeze artist do a backflip to catch the helper and you immediately think "WOW! That's fantastic!", then he does a double backflip and you think "Okay, that's good...not as good as before!", then you go back again and he does a triple backflip and ends up messing it up, and you're sat there thinking "If only he hadn't tried to outdo himself again and again, he wouldn't have been in this situation!"
I never was a CM Punk fan, but only because i wasnt watching pr wrestling in his ROH and WWE days. Started watching Pro Wrestling again around 2017 and was excited to hear about AEW and how it was going to be sports based compared to the childish WWE i saw in 2017. Was so excited the first Dynamite bc it reminded me of Nitro look wise. Then i saw the corruption of what the Young Bucks, goofy slapstick, japanese obsessed, outlaw wrestling sunk into AEW and i was like WTF. There is some good stuff and talented wrestlers in AEW but its a dime a dozen and the Bucks influence is too striong. I became a CM Punk fan after that press scrum and will always side with him since that day on when it comes to his AEW tenure and the Bucks. The Bucks are just such smarmy, agitating, childish, passive aggressive little twats and they arent even good at hiding it.
Same. I just wasn’t watching when he was around. I didn’t get why he was a star, just looking at him. Once he came to AEW I got it, he so clearly had true star power. By comparison, I kept hearing how great the Bucks were and kept watching trying to get why, but never saw anything good.

I'd like for the Bucks to make a list of all the things they have done that changed the wrestling business. Not anything they did with Kenny, Cody or Tony Khan just things that they did on their own that made the wrestling business go through this drastic change that in their heads they have convinced themselves has happened.
They sucked in TNA, ripped off Shawn Michaels on the indies, and made friends with people like Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega. Only thing they really did of note is remain together as a tag team during a time when doing so is super rare. They get a hand for that.
I have to say I agree with the Bucks here. They truly have created "an alternative to wrestling". The problem for them is that a lot of us wrestling fans still like wrestling.
@darkstars-torpedoes-of-truth I fuckin hate the bucks but the Same aew fans that thanked them for this alternative now acts like they didn't. You can say that maybe he overreacted, but they had been instigating Punk and setting him up for failure as soon as they realized he didn't want to play wresting with them. The EVPs backstage politics and BS were way more unprofessional than Punks physical and verbal altercations.
Yes, they legit think that Punk was trying to drive the Elite out of the company or whatever and that they did absolutely nothing wrong at any point, despite how clear it should be to anyone who's unbiased that the Elite manufactured all of the drama using their stooges in the company and Meltzer/Alvarez. Obviously Punk getting physical was wrong, and I do think he lied about the Colt Cabana incident (and even with that in mind, the outrage over it was definitely exaggerated; Colt was barely being used before Punk came in, and nobody was begging for him to be used more until the story broke), but basically every individual issue was caused by something done by the Elite in the first place, and the fact that they were never able to actually resolve things is also the Elite's fault (it's outright been confirmed that Punk tried to bury the hatchet, but the Elite wouldn't even humor it).
Every AEW cultist repeats the same mantra; "CM Punk causes problems everywhere he goes so he must be the problem." This squawk absolves them of any critical thinking or objective appraisal of the behaviour of their beholden Buckaroos.
It’s funny that they post this and then immediately put themselves in two different title pictures. Seriously, they have to be the softest wrestlers in history. Even Michaels in the ‘90s didn’t care what fans thought of him as evidenced by his behavior at house shows.

They've changed nothing is what they've changed. WWE was the only game in town for wrestling on a national level, and four years later, that remains the case. Totally squandered opportunity.
They do get credit for being part of the reason why Tony Khan (a money mark) got involved in pro wrestling, so when they talk about giving 100s of people jobs technically they're right. I remember when AEW started and before i saw the Bucks all i heard was guys like Meltzer rant and rave how great they were. Then i saw them wrestle and realized they really didn't live up to the hype
They never came close to living up to the hype. It's always been spot after pointless spot followed by 47 superkicks and the finish. That works fine on an indy show, where you aren't going to see them again for 4-6 months. But it doesn't work on a weekly show, and they're so far up their own asses that they never evolved.
yep same here saw them in a match with the Lucha Bros and just didn't get it. They are all hype and no actual substance. The ratings prove it too because whenever Bucks are on TV the ratings go down
they got a money mark to make an entire promotion revolved around sniffing their own farts and STILL cant handle that most people dont wanna see them. what more would you need?
Did they cancel the reconciliation meeting? That's really all I want to know in deciding if they are the Hogan / Nash of AEW. We decried WcW for it's unprofessional, childish nepotism until it went under, why would we view them any different?
the only tangible contribution the elite have made to aew was convincing the money mark to name his promotion after them. i catch a lot of grief from fans of "the elite" for pointing this out, but i will continue to do so..
@timmutohfan i stand with you. They are not great, their youtube show is the shits & their so called elite name in the company name was a stupid ass choice.
Part of what make people great is they don’t constantly remind you that their great like Nick Nemeth quietly buying gear of Indy people to help them during Covid that no one knew about vs people like The Hardly Boys beating you over the head about how great and important they are
The thing about the young bucks is many of their fans and even the bucks themselves forgot the status they were in that got them over. They weren't necessarily the main attraction in the bullet club, AJ Styles was which is when most western wrestling fans took notice of the bullet club and what was going on in NJPW. The bucks were just the side kicks within that group basically the same as Syxx in NWO and to a lesser degree when he was in DX but like x pac when he became the focus the fans got tired of his gimmick very quickly. Add to that this was the era that people got tired of WWE booking, the bullet club became a refreshing alternative which peaked when All In happened. Once AEW started most of the fans from the indies to ring of honor didnt return to watch AEW. Or the ratings they got would have been higher than a million. And who really benefitted from that era? At the time NXT did which was a good move by triple H to keep hardcore WWE fans within the company dissatisfied with the main WWE and influenced by the indie/NJPW scene , AJ benefitted and later on Cody did. And of course Balor. Omega and the bucks didnt technically because even though they get a say in a new promotion and well paid they haven't transcended in their career like some of their peers have. They still in the same spot they in years ago when they were hot commodities.
The Bucks helping make the original All In happen was a cool thing, and it made a statement about wrestling as an alternative to WWE. But doing a successful one off never qualified them to be EVPs or bookers for a national wrestling program.
The playing the victim is just sickening. If they actually made themselves dignifying after establishing AEW, the respect would have been there. But no, they had to engage in passive aggressive rumor mongering campaign against the top star, and running him off. So no, there's gonna be a dark cloud above them all the time
Undertaker was right when he said wrestling is soft today, and also CM Punk was right when he said “The wrestlers you like are the ones softer than you”.
I'm still trying to figure out who exactly was Tony Khan bidding against to re-sign these clowns. Was there some unknown wrestling organization out there that was seeking their services that forced Tony to make them the highest paid tag-team of all-time? Were they in such demand that Tony had no choice but to pay them as much as he did? Or, is he an over eager overgrown child with his daddy's overgrown checkbook?
He needs them in AEW to keep the positive coverage from Meltbrain coming. If you remember when the Elite were suspended after Brawlout Dave actually started to be critical of AEW and the suspension ended quickly thereafter.
@@MrRjh63 I would be far from shocked if people like Meltzer and Alvarez were feeding Khan rumours about WWE interest to help them bump up their negotiations
What’s ultimately crazy about all of this….the Bucks (with the help of connected friends) will do their best to try to control the narrative to their design but as the years go on, the fans get smarter so now all of the Bucks’ shit is catching up to them because the fans remember.
Bryan's and Jim's take on the Young Bucks hype being a product of it's time is so true that it's scary. A lot of people 5-6 years ago were convinced that Young Bucks were the best tag team in Pro wrestling. You can make an argument for The Revival during that time but there was less people saying The Revival were the best, especially during the times where they were not utilised well on RAW(either because of injuries or bad creative team). You mostly heard about how great Young Bucks and how they are the greatest tag team of this generation. That was even true for me when I couldn't watch their stuff on TV and had to watch highlight videos on UA-cam. Around that period, I loved their matches and was convinced they were the best or at least one of the best tag teams in the world. I was a teenager then and was fond of the indies simply because I was just kind of done with WWE. Fast forward to 2019, when I was an adult and mentally grew up a little, I remember being excited to see Young Bucks on national television. For a few weeks, I didn't feel the same way but still thought they were great. But the more matches that I saw of them, the more I felt I saw those matches before. Then the same match kept going on and on until I was convinced they can't wrestle any other style. I was starting to feel the same for Kenny Omega but at least I can remember like some of his recent matches. Young Bucks had terrible matches by almost every tag team not named FTR (Didn't like their match with Kenny and Hangman either. Sorry). It got to a point where I skipped their matches because I knew what will happen. And after a while, it wasn't just me. The crowd stopped reacting the same way for The Bucks. And ever since The Revival joined AEW and became FTR, especially during the times they became babyfaces, they got more over with the crowd than the Bucks ever did even during their absolute height in popularity. They slowly stopped being in the conversation for the best tag team in the world as more people became thoroughly convinced that the best team is FTR. Hell, they aren't even in top 5. The Usos and even Jay and Juice were considered better than the Bucks. People once they grow up or get more exposure to the Bucks don't feel the same way towards them. And the Bucks never really got better or evolved in any way. They are either the same or just worse now. It might a bit of a stretch, but Bucks can be compared to a viral video or a viral meme. They made a lot of noise when they first started but the more you see of them, the less funny it got. And it takes 2 months until people move on to something else. The Bucks are left behind and I think they will always be there
No truer words have been spoken... I was a fan for about 10 years and saw alot of their TNA, NJPW, & ROH matches and thought they were one of a kind & then got caught up with The Bullet Club thing as well but once they got to AEW, it all became stale and the bad politics they created became evident in the product... This whole thing leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth about AEW & I've never been too crazy about WWE either but I just try to watch & see if anything changesfor the better....
@@ezstreete It will be sheer idiocy to have the Bucks beat FTR even if they turn heels. You have to have a brain of Swiss cheese to let them become 3 time tag team champion. They aren't over whether they become heels or remain babyfaces. People don't want them to turn heels and bring more edge to their character. They just don't want to see Young Bucks. So having them go over the team that is actually over because they haven't beaten FTR in two straight matches is either foolishness or very clear that the Bucks are politicking. But I know Bucks are going over because they can't let FTR beat them thrice and/or Tony is so dumb, he will actually go along with it

The Young Bucks in reality: "We're a flavor-of-the-month, flash-in-the-pan duo that got insanely lucky and attracted the attention of a billionaire's son that was a wrestling fan since childhood and spent most of that childhood playing with wrestling action figures and booking his own promotion in his head. This person was so starstruck that wrestlers, any wrestlers, the people that he practically worshiped, he was so happy that they thought that he was 'cool enough' to talk to and be friends with that he got Daddy to open up the piggy bank and fund his own personal wrestling fantasy promotion."

But I know Bucks are going over because they can't let FTR beat them thrice and/or Tony is so dumb, he will actually go along with it
Getting gaslit by these guys that AEW wouldnt exist and people wouldn't have jobs if it wasnt for them, is the equivalent of WWE re-telling history by saying wrestling wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Vince. It insults my intelligence and I don't need to be reminded every fucking week that they're more holy than I am. It's selfish and weird.
Its sanctimonious, narcissistic and very very childish
As an agnostic who was raised Catholic, they aren't very Christian - Forgiveness? Turn the other cheek?... The Pope recently called out the US Catholic church for failing to follow Christ's teachings and the evangelicals are even more unhinged.
They might be more pious, but they are almost certainly less holy than you!
Right on both counts....
bucks literally wrote a book called "killing the business!" I think that's their goal. The loss of CM punk sucks!
The title of their book says it all - Killing the Business. Little did they know at the time it would be foreshadowing for the company they created.
Young bucks are the worst thing ever to happen in professional wrestling.
By far. I hate super kicks with a passion now because of them and their circus group of buddies. It's literally one move that they do to NO END every match
Entertainment I don't know if it's been wrestling for a long time.
I wouldn't go that far but they're definitely the worst thing in professional wrestling right now.
Well, Owen Hart dying in the ring and Droz getting paralyzed are two things I can think of off the top of my head that are worse, but I get what you're saying. The Bucks are an offense to pro wrestling.
Would Jim say the Bucks or Russo? At least Russo had some positive contributions when he worked for McMahon. The Young Bucks are poison.
Not a fan of bucks or punk. But i recognize punk was better for business
Both Punk and the Bucks are assholes. The bucks were smart by working all there fans and the world's biggest money mark, and Punk is a narcissistic prick. The wrestling business would be fine without the 3 of them
The Elite Children. Respect them for latching onto a kid born and happens to love wrestling.
17:12 I love Jim's unspecified sabotaging of the ads. Always funny!
I'd pay a dollar to see Corny to trash an ad.
When they called themselves the "main characters" of the promotion it showed the level of delusion.
The Young Bucks inside their own headspace: "We revolutionized the industry, we provided the first true alternative to the WWE since the death of WCW, we can have five star matches with anyone in the world, we're worldwide international stars and most likely the greatest tag team in pro wrestling history."
The Young Sucks are in their mid and late 30s. Are they still "Young"?
Travis' rendition of these guys makes them look like Bobcat Goldthwaite when he played Peg's cousin Zemus on Married...with Children.
"And they got a bunch of people thinking that the moon rises in their ass!" 🤣
I don't watch wrestling anymore I jus can't but I can't miss Corny talkin about the bucks
Let's be honest the elite rose and gained fans because WWE'S product was so boring and uninteresting that these idiots were seen as great
There's a difference between the Hardly Boys and the pet rock, and the hula hoop is still thought of fondly, unlike those clowns
Can we appreciate that ad from Jim 😂😂
Only. Jim. Mute Brian's shitty attempts at being a straight man.
The Bucks are the best ever...at keeping Tony Khan in a bubble where they get his Dad to pay for endless indie shows and all their friends.
No wonder they're so afraid of Punk and bigger, better talent. They upset the apple cart and cause Tony to stop being a fanboy mark, and that puts all of the useless overpaid bullshit talent at risk.
It's an extraordinary hustle, TBH
I’m just here for listening to Jim, and Brian promote Express VPN. This shit was hilarious!!!
TYBs worried about their reputation. Cry me a river
First time I heard of the young bucks, I expected someone... young. Those fuggers were like 40. Somebody should make them rescind their name.
The young bucks are the kids that unplugged the controller when you were beating them.
Thanks for the material Buckaroos - Jim and Brian
I can’t wait to see Jim reviewing dynamite only getting 800k viewers. Guess edge isn’t a draw like punk
Well, Adam Copeland has lost his Edge after all :D
Yeah I love Edge, one of my favourites of the last two decades. Anyone who thought he would draw is smoking crack, Punk drew because he left wrestling in such spectacular style and then came back. Edge hasn't gone anywhere so how can anyone miss him? Also god I hope someone doesn't fuck Edge up for real because he seems like a great guy.
Nope. We’ve seen Edge again for the last three years. It was incredibly weird for AEW and their fanbase to try to pretend that him turning up was this INCREDIBLE RETURN. I saw one comment say he cried when he came out to save Sting, and it was worth $50.
You really hate punk, eh? You’ve replied to any positive comment about him with negativity lol.
@@thelastmotelperfect 😅
I love how they limit their comments on Instagram and delete all the negative ones. Such adults.
2 of the luckiest people to become "stars" in wrasslin history.. If they were around in the 80s, they'd been booked as a 2nd coming of the Mulkey Brothers lol.
Tony said sell😂😂😂
Except the Mulkeys were actually likeable.
The Mulkeys would destroy them, even now. Rod and Todd Flanders could beat up the Bucks
