Give it to mom , then pitch my business to whoever I knew that was rich enough to gift a birkin.
It's really pretty simple even if the Birkin bag I was gifted was 10 years old and still in very good condition. I would hold on to it for a few years to let the value increase. I would carry it for my University graduation and to my first few interviews and mixers until I've established myself in a good paying job. Then I would look up the value of my particular model and if it was over the initial sale price after being adjusted for inflation I was very seriously consider selling it. Especially if the resale price would be enough to buy a model that I liked more to keep for myself. And use the rest of the money to pay off my college debt. I've been careful in my University education to not require that much debt and flipping a single Birkin bag would more than pay off my University does. Of course the goal is always to be able to buy two for the price of the one you're selling. So I would use the money from the bag I sell to buy a new bag that I like more to keep as my signature item. Still be able to buy yet another one to hold onto for a few years and then resell it and repeat
Write ma name on it and bring it or sell it to the highest bidder 1 year or so
Price and the value are not the same thing
I have a hermes hoodie that I bought a few years back, before that I wore mostly mall hoodies from like skater brands. The quality of everything is better in the hermes, the material, how it's woven and quality details that really make the difference. I wear it basically everyday and the wear and tear is way better than any hoodie I would have bought at the mall. No little holes, no falling apart around the wrists or bottom of the hoodie, no strings falling loose, everything is still stretchy. Yeah you can tell it's old, it's faded but it's not in too bad of shape. Most luxury shit is not worth it but from my experience but I think hermes is very good shit.

@@wetokebitcoins1769 Nobody is saying that Hermes products are not good, but they are arguing that they nowhere near as good as the prices suggest. No way on Earth can you justify a $4-5000 machine stitched wallet. I'll find you a hand stitched one on Etsy that will last you just as long for 50 bucks. And let's not get into the prices of their bags. You are paying the Hermes directors and owners, not for the product. Every time a sucker buys a Hermes bag, that money is put into Hermes owner's 'private jet upgrade' savings account.
@@Deezhan well some people have more disposable money to spend and there's the fact that they don't actually make $5k wallets. You think those $250 nikes cost the company $250 to produce? Nah, they paid a chinese slave $1 to make those shoes with $5 in materials then charge you $250 which goes into their private jet fund. It's the same thing, nike just sells more lower cost goods to more people, for every 1 hermes hoodie sold nike sells 10000 nike hoodies, and the outcome is the same, your money in their pocket.

Just a note: Hermes handbag hardware is NOT solid gold or palladium. It is brass, with gold or palladium plating. The plating is a lovely detail, but does not contribute significantly to the price of a Birkin.

Wow! Educational! To be honest, I have my favorites of high-class designers, and Hermes is NOT one of them. But I will say this: One thing I like about Hermes is that its very classy and is not a common sight much. Now after watching this, I'm starting to like Hermes even more!

Not true lmao. If i’d sell you a rock for 1 million you wouldn’t buy it. Hermes has such an incredible brand, people are willing to wait years for a bag and pay tens of thousands for em. Hermes isn’t a random brand like supreme or bape, it was founded in 1837 and it’s probably the oldest fashion brand. All the top brands like LV, Gucci, Chanel or Hermes have come up with something original and have been incredibly important in fashion for the past 150 years. For example Levi’s invented jeans and Louis Vuitton invented the handbag and the suitcase

When you work as an apprentice in a certain fashion house, do they pay you somehow? Specially if like there in Hermes, which apprentises undergo 10yrs before becoming craftsman

I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulu* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian don't even have NEARLY the amount of Hermès Birkins as Jamie Chua, Jefree Starr, Jaimie Xie and many secretive socialites we don't yet know about.

A Hermès scarf is a work of art. They take months to design and elevate any outfit. If I was given a B-bag,I’d sell it and invest the money unless it was a gift from someone I love. Then it would be rude to sell it.
From my perspective, there are many other bags that are more attractive. But the quality seems wonderful.
There is a special place in hell for those who hunt down animals for fashion needs.
The bag would go to my mom, she means more than the bag ever would, she has always inspired me and supported me in my hopes and dreams growing up..... She is a major piece in my life!! On the side note, I have a silk bow-tie and two colognes from them... They are truly worth money!!
If you took the money for an Hermès bag and put it on Bitcoin back in 2010, you’d be a multi-billionaire. Legit nipping at Bezos’ heels. If that doesn’t demonstrate what a waste these bags are, nothing will.
20 hrs is nothing. I 've worked on a bag that took at least 80hrs to make. Some sections had 4 layers of leathers , using 3 different types of leathers, all hand stitched. Some even needed a pre stitch to get the parts aligned properly before the main assembly. It was gruesome.
*I am but a pauper because I never heard of Hermes, and for some reason I read the title in my head, "herms" i.e: germs with an H in lieu of a G*

I have just (1) 35cm black togo leather Birkin with gold hardware. It was actually a gift 🎁 passed down from my ex diseased mother in law. The only time it stands out is when another person knows about that brand but 7 times out of 10 most common people have no clue what Hermès is. I live in the Newtown Square, PA so I only really carry it when I’m going into a ultra luxury mall like King of Prussia Mall or Short Hills Mall in New Jersey. I mainly use it as a travel bag when traveling to different states for work or vacations. It’s always my carry-on bag because it fits so much into it.
I see Hermes Burkin bags as a great investment opportunity.

Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been uzbagx buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things.

I’m a Huge handbag collector . These bags hardware are NOT solid gold or Solid palladium.! Theyr only Plated with gold or palladium. I wish they were solid gold/Solid palladium. You could probably have one customized with solid precious metals. But standard issue will Never have solid precious metal hardware..! They would have to use a very low Gold Karot. Gold is to pliable when it’s over 18kt solid. I prefer very vintage Hermès & Very vintage Chanel due to how much better/thicker the gold plating is and it’s actually 24kt plated. Chanel now only uses 10-14 kit on hardware since 2009.. the prices keep rising but the Quality keeps decreasing

Hermes leather bag is best quality bag I ever use. Price is also very reasonable.
So "regular millionaires" won't even buy these because it's 10% ($100,000 bags) of their net worth. So basically deca millionaires (people in the $10s of millions of dollars) or mega millionaires ($100 millions) or billionaires are your clients? (Rule of thumb spend 1% of what your worth on expensive things)
