Ida tied her on down and closed the wind side flaps. A wet hammock could mean Trip Abort!

Hey Randy yes flaps down doors closed would have definitely been better I actually thought the storm would have missed us and I never anticipated the wind coming in before the storm however with that snake skin cover over the end that worked perfect

Believe It or Not Freddy I didn't get wet worked out perfect got the tarp back in position just as it started to downpour

Perhaps you can check out "drip line" for hammocking. Not sure anything would work well in crap like that. However, heavy rain can soak your kit right down and into the hammock. A drip line will divert that and protect the sleeping area.

I will definitely have to look into that I know the Buckle strap seems to not allow any water to travel down past the buckle so far so good but I will look into that thank you my friend

I'm really glad the wind slow down is the rain came because if it was pouring when that blew off I would have got soaked
