You stating the importance of the word "No" reminded me of a work place anecdote. You see, I work at a school, and there was this little 3yo girl running around in a hallway where there's furniture with glass doors. So I tell her: "You're not allowed to run here." The girl starts crying and calling for her mom. That's alright, it's normal for children of that age to be shocked when confronted with boundaries, and it's part of my job to also be patient in that regard. However, the mom comes to me and explains: "At home, we never say the word "no" to her. We instead try to find some other thing she can do and point her in that direction." Even though I have no right to tell anybody how to rise their children, and I didn't, I was internally flabbergasted at this woman's thought process. They're not only making it harder for that child to process the word "No", but they're also not teaching her that she has the power to say "No".
The phrase "sweating like a pig" is often used to describe someone who is perspiring heavily. Interestingly, pigs don't actually sweat much at all; they lack sweat glands. The phrase likely originated from the iron smelting industry. When pig iron (an intermediate form of iron) was being cast into molds, the process required extremely high temperatures. As the iron cooled and solidified, it would sometimes create a sound resembling the hissing or sizzling of water on a hot surface. This led workers to compare the sound to the sizzling of sweating, hence the phrase "sweating like a pig." Over time, this phrase evolved to describe someone sweating profusely, even though it's not based on the biological sweating behavior of pigs.

This video has some very funny parts. It cracked me up. I could be wrong, but it seems like the questioner is mainly interested in getting in shape without doing some fitness class that he might find boring. This is why he is trying both BJJ and boxing. He doesn't have a particular martial-arts goal; he's looking for an interesting way to get in shape. If I'm correct that fitness is the goal, then boxing is probably better for him. A lot of boxing training is about building physical fitness--and there is less "hugging" and fewer "hot chicks"--if it is a real boxing gym.

I always appreciate your martial arts content, but for someone who is so obsessed about what words are supposed to mean it's genuinely frustrating to see you claim that 'they' is explicitly and exclusively plural when it has been used as a singular for forever, specifically in the context where someone's gender is unknown or irrelevant. "I had a new student at the gym today and they were super excited to take class." Is 'they' in that context plural or singular? And if it's singular, why is it any different for someone to adopt that word for themselves if they feel 'him' or 'her' doesn't fit them in some way? It's such a normal way to use the word, yet for whatever reason as soon as it's used by nonbinary people it's treated as this crazy notion.

Remember that word selection has secondary meanings, you're always saying more than just the primary definition of a word. Just like the differences between happy, cheery, merry, and jolly are subtle but important, "it" has a lot of problematic subtext that "they" lacks.
@@bemusedalligator and removing an essential part of your born identity isn’t depersonalizing at all. Becoming an ambiguous they with no fixed identity
People using words wrong doesn’t make it right. Bad argument.
Jehovah's witnesses are not a occult. I take offense to that.
Jehovah's witnesses simply do what Jesus told his disciples to do even after his death. IT is all in the Bible, if you believe the Bible which I pray that you do.💯
He corrected himself
Why are you taking offense at nothing, I thought you people believed in turning the other cheek?
@@theritchie2173 Letting it be known that, that was offensive has nothing to do with not turning the other cheek. Also you said “you people" so what quote on quote people are you?
I was a Jehovah’s Witness. It is a cult.
Based. I see why you moved to china lol
