I have both fortina and florence and I after reading their stories its so sad and I cried. as others have said Florence and fortina were more or less like a knight and her master sort of thing. Florence was saved by Fortina as a child, and she grew up to be the Grand Master of the Knight of Longinus, promising her undying loyalty as a friend and a knight. Fortina was summoned by the Pope and Florence was to escort her, Fortina was already known as witch but Florence promised to protect her. Florence thought Fortina would be cured of her witchness by the Pope but instead at the time they didnt know that the Pope intentions were not good. Upon meeting the Pope, Florence got brainwashed by her against her will and turned to attack Fortina with the Pope brainwashing her into thinking Fortina was a witch to be decimated, removing all memories of Fortina in the process. Fortina heartbroken by the supposed betrayal, triggers her into becoming a Witch of Qlipha. Fortina continues to be brainwashed and fight (or kill?) witches, until us the Duke come to purify and her memories return. Then she joins our squad to save Fortina. ITS SUCH A SIMPLE STORY LINE BUT THE WORLD BUILDING PLUS THE VOICE ACTING MADE IT FEEL A BIT TOO REALLLL AAA.
