Oh great, now my wife wants to go to the Mouse Inn! She searched it on the internet and said it looks pretty in springtime. I’m a Russian but I’ve never been there- and the food looks great 👍
Here it is Feb 10 so I hope you had a great New Years get away. The Mouse Inn reminds me of what you would find in the Rocky Mountains and the west here in Colorado with the log construction. The pavilion where you would have a picnic and cook out would be fun in the summer too. Happy Valentines day :-)
Loved the restaurant. It's so full of character unlike all the usual generic look of most American restaurants. I wonder if the restaurant is affordable for normal mortals though. Such a place in the U.S would be out of the means of normal mortals and half of the middle class. Its always nice to see how things are done in other countries. Especially as they aren't generic like America. Thanks for sharing.
The wine was a Russian Chateâu Tamagne Duo and the grape was a white Aligote. Bizarrely I was just drinking a Burgogne white with this grape which is not common in France. Your wine is not available here in the UK. Have a good new year.
This meal is nothing extraordinary for a New Year celebration for any Russian family. Everything, Valeria and Alex demonstrated in the video is rather accessible for majority of Russians. Eating this dishes in a restaurant may be not so much accessible for everyone, but buying all the ingredients and preparing all the same dishes at home would be no problem for like 90% (or may be even more) of Russian population.
Looks like you have a red and a white wine at your table. Red wines work well with white meats ( chicken , turkey, seafood ) Reds go well with red meats ( beef, mutton ). Etc.
I guess, this is because editing and producing a final cut video takes quite some work. And if one doesn't have a professional production team, like many very popular youtubers have - it does take time. Much probably, their personal free time.
