Ah, this is old skool Nightwish and originally designed for a slightly different voice. For me a bit of an also-ran track, but still has those great riffs. I see people suggesting Dead Boy's Poem, its definitely worth checking out.

Suzy - Like the Kai Hahto's drum kit? If you watch the drum cam video of Ghost Love Score with Kai you will see that they glow in the dark when the lights are turned down during the intermission 😁. When Jenn & Sonny watched the whole 2013 Wacken Concert Sonny said something about not being sure if he would have the energy to rock that hard from start to finish during a 1 hour 45 min concert. I think you have to choose at which songs you take it a bit easy and rest, and when to bang your head off. Cheers / B.
Next you should check this song out with Tarja singing. I love Floor but Tarja did it better since Tuomas wrote the song with Tarja voice in mind. But you guys should check out more Nightwish with Tarja like Planet Hell and Slaying the Dreamer both from the End of an Era concert to start.
@@ChrisPage68 Yes, they are different songs with Floor, but as an old fan I tend to prefer Tarja's versions. That is not to say, that these are bad. It's usually pretty close call, and on some songs I prefer Floor. But if you can't hear colours in Tarja's voice, you need hearing device =)
In all honesty, I love Floor but this is definitely a Tarja song. This was actually the first song I ever heard and it's the one that got me into Nightwish.

I'm not normally one to compare Floor to Tarja. They are both phenomenal vocalists, but 10th Man Down with Tarja on vocals just sounds better and (not the best word, but cant think of a different one...) bigger to my ears. Floor did an amazing job, but Tarja's operatic style just seems to give the chorus even more power! Check out one of the older versions with Tarja for fun. Like I said, I'm not a "Tarja only" fanboy, but this is one song where I just happen to prefer Tarja.

I absolutely think Floor is the best vocalist on earth because of the range of her voice, but somehow this song kicks in a different way in the original version, sang completely with an operetic voice. There are some songs I prefer more sang by Tarja, this, romanticide and wishmaster for example. 😁

Quite a dark song - about a soldier fed up with shooting people in war. Absolves himself not to do it anymore after his 10th fatality. Deep.
I like the fanmde video where he uses a WWI battle in a forest (Ardennes?) betweeb British and Germans. Shows the insane massacre of war.
I interpreted it as being about a soldier who mutanied and killed his compatriots, and at the end he was hanged as a traitor for his actions.
Last part of the song made me bawl my eyes out ;(

about 20 years ago this song intoduced me to heavy metal. I'm still a Nightwish fan. And this is still my favorite Nightwish Song.
