Hes very happy now. If I don't have sleep apnea I would be very rich and happy, not alone by myself today.

Haha, thanks! PC's are fine. I'm just not a fan of the OS, updates, amount of virus / malware a PC can easily get, the awkward keyboard command using the CNTRL button... back in the day when I bought my first computer straight out of art school in 01, the adobe software was difficult to use because you would actually have to click on the window before you could even utilize it. For example, if I wanted to select a swatch, I'd have to click the window before I could even select my swatch... if that makes sense. Welcome to the MAC world! Less headaches, and time spent maintaining the machine, doing updates, keeping up with virus software (which a Mac doesn't need, because virus programs spend there time working on platform that'll affect millions rather than thousands).

Me and a friend are starting a business making shirts hats mug using sublimation and heat transfers. So designing is something that I need to work on plus I’m going to school to be a Cinematographer so I have all the Adobe CC crap I just need to get a lil better at using the programs. I know a little bit about all the programs but not nearly as good as you.

Thank you! I'm sure if you search eBay you can find an older copy. I'd recommend both to be honest. I used Illustrator for the vector portion of the design because it's faster for me to manipulate and Photoshop when it comes to editing pixels.
Thank YOU!!! I've used Corel back in 2005, and it was night and day between the two apps. Adobe's software is pretty seamless between the apps, and is the industry standard. Corel does the same thing, but I couldn't get around Corel. Bigger learning cure for me personally. I have been using Illustrator for 19 years. I have used FreeHand, when it was out, quite a bit. It had some features to it Illustrator didn't at the time 99' until the last MX version. FreeHand was great. For whatever reason, Corel just slowed me down. Guess it's the interface, but people should use whatever they are comfortable with and proficient at. They all get the job done.
i have the x8. i have saved 1000 dollars for a one time purchase ; without monthly payments i save 50 dollars a month , i thought you might could make more money promoting corel, they could use a good comprehensive video for shirts,

For every job, we give it a number, and be sure to title it so it's easily searchable. Like this design would be 5348 Veterans Motorcycle Ride America... just put as many keywords in there as possible, so at a glance you can find the art just by looking at the design.

Hey Mike, could you please help me just stuck how to delet my background layers on win10 I'm pressing D and do nothing, and also I did try ctrl d. And if I go right click and I delet layers doesn't do anything.
@@smarttech559 Photoshop has preferences you can reset so everything goes back to the way it should be. I think you hit control+k on the keyboard and click reset.
If we provide you with a logo, can you design something around it for the back of a shirt? I'm a painting contractor and I would need you to use our slogan, phone number and website. I already have a quote for the shirts from your company but I wasn't sure if you got involved with the design. Please let me know so that I can place my order
Any images we pull off of the net, we initially use them for mockup reasons. If our video where we printed these, you'll see our client changed their mind on the photo used. Once our client is happy, when then purchase the rights to use the photos... There are services such as istockphotography and shutterstock that allow you to do this.

Also, I want to thank you for pointing this out, because it could be a tutorial I teach my students. I have been a graphic designer for 19 years, and we don't steal. We create, purchase images, and or get licenses if necessary.
I totally understand. I have found my work on a eBay, and my designs knocked off some much to the point I'm not getting paid for the ideas. The eBay seller of my design, I have contacted them telling them to take it down, or to pay me royalties... heard nothing back and it's still up. They are across seas in Britain. A lot of times I'll design something on the fly and try and show my process. I forget to mention things at times because it can be overwhelming trying to narrate, and get the job done as quickly as possible, because I'm trying to meet a deadline. I have freelanced for many years and we used ShutterStock or iStock quite a bit. We would plug in comp pictures with their watermarks. Clients don't always like the photos in the comp. Once we find something they like, we have the clients pay us to purchase the images so we may insert a high res image into the design.

Is it true that using transparent elements causes printing problems? Some of the POD spots say it does. Im confused...
Not necessarily. The software is pretty dialed in these days.

If I was asked for psd/ai, is it okay to send rgb color mode artwork to the printshop? Or should be in cmyk?
I'd send it in RGB so you don't lose colors / brightness.
How exactly are you getting 300 DPI resolution from files downloaded from a Google search 🤔
300 dpi doesn't matter when you're screen printing at 45 lpi.

Did you try backspace? I believe that's what it is on a PC.

Ideally you want to license images or contact the owner for permission. iStock and ShutterStock are good sites for stock images.

That's odd. Maybe try resetting the preferences in the program.
On a Mac it's control and option. Not sure on a PC. I found that command by accident years ago.
