It's a very old song. I don't think anyone knows who wrote it or even where it came from (different sources will say Egypt, Syria, Iraq...). It's just been passed down through generations. Like any folk melody, occasionally composers will incorporate it into something new. I wouldn't say that Kaynak or anyone was guilty of "theft". Folk music, by definition, belongs to everyone.
Who is the composer of this song? In Turkey, we know that Sadettin Kaynak is its composer, who died in 1961. I searched for the composer of "Ah ya zein" in google and I could not find the composer. If anybody knows, please share it. This is theft. Very immoral!

This one is interesting, and very different from George Gould's "Arabian Rag" from 1917.
