    I've seen plenty of other film of canyonlands and the same trails/roads, by other Overlanders. none that have shown what you've filmed here. magnificent depth of field, clarity and field of view. aerial views covered the size and scale. nearly all new views of Shafer trail. well framed, superb geo documentation.

    I literally just came down from Moab today.. ventured up from Moab through Shafer Trail to Island in the Sky. My son got motion sick, so that was it. After camping up in the Island with heavy winds, trashing my tent and lots of fire ants.. my wife called it quits lol... lightweights!

    There's Canyonlands........then there's Canyonlands via the White Rim Trail. Why not drive the WRT? Sure , gotta book campsites 4 months out but well worth the adventure. From Airport to Labyrinth is 50 miles and 7 hours. The experience is transcendental.

    Fantastic footage! I was just wheeling in Moab in early June. So amazing! As for shower tents, I have a Quick-Pitch En-Suite and like it a lot. They’re expensive though. Tuff-Stuff sells something similar for a lot less. Speaking of Tuff-Stuff, how do you like the Alpha tent so far? I should be getting mine soon.

    • @RevereOverland
      @RevereOverland  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! The Tuff Stuff Alpha is a fantastic tent. You’ll love it! Have you ordered yet? I have 10% off with code RVO10. I’ve been eyeing up the shower tent they have, but I’m not sure about mounting.

    • @henrikm4657
      @henrikm4657 4 роки тому

      Revere Overland , I ordered the Sierra originally, but the first batch had blemishes, so I decided to wait for the second batch. Then Corona happened, and things got delayed. I also realized that I wanted the larger tent, so I spoke to the folks at Tuff Stuff, and they were kind enough to let me upgrade to the Alpha for a reasonable amount. If all goes well, I should get it in a few weeks.
      As for the shower thing, I ended up having to fabricate my own custom mounting brackets for my Rhino Pioneer rack. Turned out pretty nice. Happy to share some pics if you have an email address you’re willing to share

    • @breyton490

      @@RevereOverland The RVO10 discount code no longer seems to work on any of the TS RTT. Not sure if its because TS has put them on "sale". The prices have certainly gone up from you said you paid for your Alpha. The Alpha may be out of my price range. Would you go with the TF Trailhead or your SmittyBilt if going for soft top RTT? Thanks. Hoping to a similar route in early October.

    • @RevereOverland
      @RevereOverland  4 роки тому +1

      breyton490 unfortunately the code only works on things not already on sale. I can’t comment on the quality of the second generation of Smittybilt tents or the Tuff Stuff soft tents, since I’ve never seen either, but based on my experience with both companies I would go Tuff Stuff. Their customer service is a lot easier to get ahold of, and the packaging and delivery of their tents is a lot better. My Smittybilt arrived in a cardboard box and was damaged. The Tuff Stuff came in a wooden crate!

    We're on our second pop-up shower tent. Nothing went wrong with the first one, I just wanted one with a mesh roof roof instead. I keep looking at some of the hard-mounted shower enclosures, but I don't think they're at a reasonable price point yet. If I had to have one today, tuffstuff4x4.com/products/tuff-stuff%C2%AE-shower-tent is probably what I'd get. An 8x8 awning can be had for less than one of these little showers, so I don't know why they're still so expensive. I think $100 is more realistic, so I've just been sticking with my Wolfwise pop-up and waiting on the price to drop. I don't really like the idea of making a puddle adjacent to the vehicle you'll be getting in and out of, but I love the simplicity of the hard-mounted options. I'll get there someday!
