Very nice video! Excellent English. English is difficult to learn for many people as well because of inconsistent spelling and pronunciation rules and the way we change and break our grammar rules. Adding colloquial sayings that don't make sense too.
Hi, Koyama I can see what you are saying, I had that difficult part and still have learning Japanese, you all speak really fast. I speak Portuguese in my country and we also speak fast and informal, the conversational part, the daily conversation is more informal than the books. I think the most difficult part for someone who is learning my language is the conjugation of the verbs.
Konichiwa! Very interesting. I have never thought about Japanese in that way. But I do think alot about how people with the same language tend to get the same accent when they speak. And I just realized something about the change from Japanese to English. Japanese is spoken in thrusts. Ta-ka-hashi or Taka-Hashi. (I don't know if that is even a japanese word. Sorry :D ) But in english each part that is spoken is much shorter. In english it would be pronounced Ta-Ka-Ha-Shi. The pace of the word can be figured out by clapping your hands when you get a vowel. a, e, i. o, u and sometimes y. Why = one clap. Spoken without a "break" Wy-o-ming = Three claps. Thinking this way will probably help with learning english. Arigato :)
Simple answer is reading at a high level. Nothing is more harder than anything than reading at a high level of Japanese with out the need of a dictionary.
