@@DarkrarLetsPlay it’s hard to find outside of Japan, even a challenge in Japan, but it’s commonplace in the prefecture I luckily managed to grab a bag, feel like it would be interesting to see his review of a Japanese fermented tea
I have enjoyed this Japanese black tea for about two months. I discovered it from an online article. It does remind me of an Assam without the dominant briskness and astringency. Thank you Don for giving this wonderful tea more attention.
I am glad to see, that you use this brewer even for such luxury tea. I have just bought this one and it is awesome. It makes gong fu so much more convenient for every day use.
I literally just ordered and tried some Benifuuki black tea from The Steeping Room and I found it very bitter. Great aromas and colors but I found it a little too bitter for me.
Yep, Benifuuki is known for having a rather high phytochemical content. As a green tea it is recommended against allergies. It did taste more like something one would drink for health than pleasure, though i did like the coarseness.
You should cover some bancha, kyobancha, iribancha, or even the super rare fermented Tokushima cha! (Awabancha!)
I can't even find the Tokushima cha on Google.

How intriguing! Thank you for stocking this
Good news! Thx Don!
I think the most interesting black tea I’ve ever had from
Japan was a smoked black tea!
I was just thinking on my way home from Iftar- what would be a good night tea. I’ve had too long a night sometimes when drinking at night.
Interesting

Interesting - did you find any success combatting that by messing with the brewing parameters?
@@arthurporter131 I didn't really try around with brewing parameters much as i was drinking it for health reasons and liked the strong brew.
Try lower temperature
Thank you don for your wonderful videos. 🍃🤍
