Awesome content . Loved them , the Landseer was a great coach, but my favorite was the last series facelifted Austral Tourmasters such an elegant comfy intercity bus. Even the yanks drooled over the look of them . Def don't build like that anymore, nothing like the feeling of sitting on a Detroit turbo going through the gears.
I worked for Pleasure Tours of Australia in the late 80s ...great memories.. Wollongong Perth return two trips a month 8V92 powered 5 speed fuller 40 ft Denning ...airbags were installed all round to smooth the ride on the 100 km of bulldust on the Nullarbor...have to dig up some photos
Great video and brought some memories back, Denning really made a good quality product made to last, built for Australian conditions, not like the imported junk boxes from China these days. I remember Kenny Butt had a Denning in the 1980's at his North & Western depot on Victoria Rd at Gladesville, it always looked a million dollars.
Fond memories travelling in Dennings as a teenager Sydney-Lismore/casino and Bomaderry-Burrill Lake. Glad someone has kept one operating and in such nice condition
I remember going on school excursions in TV4442, a 1982 DenAir from Illawarra Escape Tours. Hands down to this day, one of the most comfortable coaches I’ve ever ridden in!
I believe I rode on one of these buses during our camp on Philip Island back in 2015 but the bus was operated by Murray’s bus lines! However the bus had a darker coloured interior so it was possibly modernised more recently or was built with a dark grey carpeted interior with other matching elements including the seats! Or it was possibly a newer model of the bus from the late 1980s! :)
That's because they are built in Australia for Australian conditions and build only for driving on the left hand side of the road (i.e. driver's controls on the right and door to enter the vehicle on the left when sitting in the vehicle looking out the front). 😎🇦🇺
