I ordered a 16BH, hope to have it end of August / early September. I really appreciate the in depth, yet not mindlessly yakky details. Sunset Park needs to watch your video on the drawer install under dinette seats! From videos I've seen of 2024 models, it appears they added a little cabinet with mirror above the toilet.
Thanks J. I appreciate the kind words. I'm sure you'll like your 16BH. I saw that bathroom cabinet and considered buying one (they will sell them separately). I'll probably just keep what I have though.
Love your video, can you post one about de-winterizing your camper. I just purchased the same one and have no idea how to de-winterize. Thanks for your informative videos!!
Actually, i have never winterized my camper. I really only camp DURING the winter and don't use it much in the summer. I have a process of draining the water and keeping things warm inside to avoid a freeze. I've got a couple videos on that if you're curious. As far as dewinterizing goes though...there's a bunch of guides for that on youtube. I'm sure you'll find someone's video to help you.
good mods!! and well done too.. just picked my 16bh up this week.. pretty good unit overall , i’d be happy if i just got those drawers you did under your dinette.. someday i’ll get ambitious and give it a go.. and thx for the vids!
Excellent 👍 I found you because I'm researching the 139T. We currently have a 36 foot 5th wheel that we intend to keep. I need a little trailer for my mobility scooter and figured if I'm going to buy a trailer it might as well be a camper for small trips. I've always been afraid of stick and tin campers but you have made me a believer.
Really a good idea taking the closet out. I would want to sleep with my head on that side too. Here's an idea since you said the A.C. is so loud. You could put a small window unit in that emergency exit window. Nice job on the video.
great job. Your video's are always the best. the closet will be my fall job. I am going to keep the tv where the closet is, just center it and put velcro straps on the legs/wall to hold it in place. I can move it when I need to make the bed.
Thanks so much for doing these videos. I’m picking up my 2021 16BH Friday. Looking forward to doing some of your mods. Guessing it’s easy to find the wall studs. Would the engineering diagrams/blueprints of the camper be available to the general public? BTW previous owner installed 2 190W solar panels on roof. The unit has a 9V compressor refrigerator so the 2 panels should power it hopefully. Planning to do Boondocking on public lands. Safe travels
I think with almost 400W of solar you should be good with that fridge. One thing i've noticed, is the fridge holds it temperature really well. So even if you have to turn the fridge off at night or something, I bet your food will be OK. As for diagrams...no idea there. My gut tells me that the manufacturer doesn't document stuff that well. But who knows.
Ha! That'd be something. I get the impression they're a pretty traditional company who isn't really interested in alot of innovation. But thank you for the kind words.
Idk I think they could have used more screws on that cabinet sitting on the floor lmao😅😅😅 I'd pit nice sound system at spot end of bed, home/trailer theater
I would move the mattress down, keep the space on the driver’s side and build a storage box/headboard. Place for your phone, books, & blankets. Of course, I’m 5’2”, so I don’t need the extra foot room. Can you open that cabinet by the TV at all? Is it accessible from the middle cabinet?
Thanks. I like having the extra space without a headboard. And yes, the cabinet by the TV is accessible. I just have to swivel the TV towards the microwave.
Yep. Normal full size. If I replace it, I'll probably go with one of those special longer (XL) mattresses. The 16BH is 8' wide so that explains the extra space at the foot of the mattress.
Just took out my closet. Worked great with your instructions and video. Got it done in an hour tops. Thank you
That makes me happy to know. Glad I could help!
Wonderful job and explanation on the whole project!
@gringogg1780 thanks! Appreciate that greatly...

Thanks and glad the video was helpful. I keep an eye on my seals. As long as the seals are good, stick and tin is just fine.

Yes I would definitely prefer a window unit!

Like that much better!😊
This is the way It should have been designed! SUNSET PARK should hire you or pay you for re-Engineering! The stove is backwards too

That's a great improvement. The TV "backer" hack is genius.
Would you know what the floor length & width is from the door to bed?
Thanks,
Lou🤓
Thanks for the videos! Been looking at the 16bh for some cross country travel and my first trailer, thought on towing these 4000+ km?
@@techwithgriggs2879 I tow mine 5000-6000 miles in one long trip each year. Tows great!
@@videozar_ awesome thanks! A lot of people say dual axle for long trips 🤷♂️

Is the mattress a true full size, 54×75? The 16BH has made my short list although the Volt 1500 has a lot going for it also!✌️

@videozar4802 Thank you, I realized you answered that in the video! Safe travels!✌️
Did you ever have issues with the pressure of the water coming out of the sink?
No, never had issues with water pressure at all. And I run from my reserve tank with pump most of the time.
I have the ever chill ac unit is there anyway to put it on one versus five because it’s so loud
@MrTitocontreras not sure about yours, but mine is just as loud no matter which setting I have it on.
Can you send me a link to everything that you bought in the bathroom?
Do you use a generator when you are dry camping?
No, I don't own a generator. Someday maybe. I do have a small Bluetti battery that I carry with me. It runs the TV when I'm off grid.
