Ahh! Can we also talk about the weird jealousy you get when a good friend gets close to another person? I tend to get jealous or insecure when a best friend becomes really good friends with someone else. It's like they're stepping into my territory and I have to protect it.

+Haruhi349 Yes! I never act on it because I know I shouldn't be feeling this way but it's basically the only type of jealousy I've ever known and it's very strong! Everytime I become closer to someone and I see them giving attention to other people I hear a little voice in my head saying "Well you're not that special" x) which is stupid because I have several friends and me hanging out with one of them doesn't make me love the others any less, but sometimes your guts don't think rationally ^^

When I feel like i'm about to bhe replaced I let it happen. Since then it's the end of the time you are friends. And I think that is normal since everybody changes and some friendships can't survive that. But I don't think it's bad. You still remember all the moments you had together. Andyou will make new friends. And I believe that friends fore life are existing but they are rare just as your true love. Good luck.

I think I've watched just about all of their videos on this and Rose's channel and the more I watch Rosie, the more adorable I find her. She seems completely unaware of how endearing she is and it was rather interesting that she said at the end of this video that everyone is perfectly imperfect, because I think that is what I seem to enjoy the most about their videos, how natural and unassuming she is. She looks at Rose instead of the camera most of the time, and although she is unbearably adorable, she isn't really trying to be. She is so perfectly imperfect that I find her quite perfect! I hope to find someone who looks at me the way she looks at Rose someday.

+TheRoxetera Yeah totally! Its so fulfilling when you have a partner that you can learn things like this from. Helping one another to build your own character with honest communication is the highlight of a constructive love relationship. Learning how to apologize was a big thing for me and learning how to accept a genuine apology. Sometimes when an apology is truly accepted the person still needs time to recover and that is not always easy for the guilty person to handle. This would be an awesome topic for a RandR video! I would love to hear your take on it.

I love how you ladies covered jealousy in general and not just in relationships! As a person who regularly compares themselves to other people, we often need a reminder that it shouldn't hurt us if someone has something that we do not. Just like Rosie said, they worked for it and if we want to improve ourselves, use them as motivation how Rose said. Loved this Real Talk, can't wait for more to come!

Fav video ever. I can totally relate to it. My gf and I split because of my unrationnal jealousy. Took me ages to admit it, learn how to control it (over 3 years). Now we're back together for nearly 4 years and we talk and trust each other. So thanks again. You guys are really precious !

I do get very jealous of my friends, but it's not necessary like I want to be more like them, most of the time I'm jealous when my really good friends get closer with other people because I feel like soon or later they're gonna leave me behind because they'll like their new friends better than me.

It's natural to get uncomfortable when someone you love gets unwanted attention. It's how you handle it that is key. If the receiver is truly bothered (cat calling), they should say so to the person heckling them. Setting boundaries of being inappropriate versus getting compliments is very important and respectful to your partner. If your trying to make your partner jealous, shame on you. That never goes well for either party.

This was really good. Helped me a ton to understand. I think before dating anyone (just to avoid the risk of a future break up and then going through all the jealous stuff and weird conflicts you get sometimes when you break up), I think people should just really really and I mean really get to know the other person very well. Like first get to know each other through group hangouts and see how the other person is with other people or just how they are in general. Or to see how they handle certain situations. Be friends for a while first until you know this person well enough to the point where you'll be able to make a really good decision on whether you want to be with them or not. Because if you just date someone off of looks and off of barely getting to know their true character qualities and true personality, then you're probably going to be disappointed during the dating time and it'll just end in heartbreak for one person or the other. So just know the person really really well before being with them, so you know that while you're dating, you are dating with the intention of marriage and not just for some dating game which is a waste of time and can sometimes end badly. Hope this helps someone in some way

I think a little jealousy is healthy to the relationship. I think when you love someone, it's really easy to get jealous. But also everyone should keep in mind, love also means trust! Don't get jealous without a good reason~ That last sentence though, WELL DONE Rosie!!!

I think jealousy, by itself, is never the root of any problem but is only an outward manifestation or symptom of a deeper issue. It can stem from insecurity, past hurts, lack of trust or lack of communication...
I used to feel jealous and get hurt when my friends befriend other people (weirdly enough, I've never felt jealous when it comes to my romantic relationships) but what Rose and Rosie said about working to improve oneself first rings very true for me. Because once I started getting past most of my insecurities and began to realize that I actually LIKED who I am, my sense of self worth increased and the seemingly constant "threat" of being abandoned by people I liked for someone better, cooler or smarter slowly began to fade.

Jealousy is great in small doses. If I'm jealous, I must really like that person and conversely, if they get jealous, they must like me. It is very endearing to see someone jealous, and so much fun to pamper them to reassure them that everything is okay. But I don't think you should ever purposely make someone jealous.
Loved the video! I've found that, especially with friendship jealousy, my trust in them falls, so part of me stopping the jealousy is also me building up my trust in them again! I've also found that as I've become more confident in myself, I get less jealous of people in general!

I go round and round in my head with this. I'm so happy in my relationship and he makes me feel so secure, so there aren't any issues in that respect, it's mostly OTHER types of jealousy I struggle with, occasionally :P trying not to compare myself to others and all that. i wanted to also mention that jealousy between friends can also mean being jealous of your friend spending more time with someone else or telling other people things you thought they would tell only you but i think that as human beings we can be jealous of that but not let it affect our relationship or us because i have experience this and although it didn't affect my relationship with that person it affected me because i really put a lot of time into thinking about it instead of focusing on me. Just wanted to put it out there.

Woooow the pandora box!!!!! My partner used to be the most jealousy person, was so difficult to handle, she had jealous from every single girl in my life, coworker or even a friend. when I met someone new, OMG, immediately she imagine that person want me and if I went out with that person the fights starts. I must confess, always tried to ignore her jealous but I took distance from some people because she really freak out and lost control of herself. sometimes I chose to ignore her jealous at all and the result was really awful, days without speaking to each other. We have been together for 17 years and this ride has been fantastic even her jealousy, we have learned together a LOTS of things, now she is nit jealous anymore, well at least not in a freak way. We want to be together for the rest of our lives, so we must to trust to each other!

I think backwards jealousy is envy. Jealousy is insecurity/fear of losing something you place high value on, usually a relationship. Envy is being covetous of another person's advantages or possessions.

The thing about jealously is to find the right balance. I used to be/still am (haven't been in a relationship for a while) a very jealous person to the point when it started to be a problem for both myself and my then girlfriend. After a long while I decided that I needed to sort myself out and try to get to grips with my problem. Eventually, I managed to become less and less jealous and reached that perfect balance of being a bit jealous sometimes but not letting it get to me and make me angry and stupid. This continued for some time and everything was hunky dory between me and my girlfriend. Unfortunately I sort of forgot to keep an eye on it and things started to slip. My jealously didn't return, but instead it got even less to the point where I didn't really care what was going on. I can imagine that this blasé attitude must have come across like I had lost interest in my partner and she eventually pissed off. So this is what I mean about finding the right balance. As you both said, it's OK to be a bit jealous as it shows you're still interested and reminds you of what you have and how lucky you are but do not let it get out of control.

Jealously is a natural reaction. Often jealousy brings up unnecessary inner drama. It is believing in your inner sense of whatever you feel and to stand a firm in one's own feeling.Rather having to respond out of them in a way that'll produce a response that ignites a not so positive feeling. Feel true to your own feelings and stand and believe in what you know. Think karma- thoughts-and-reactions-outcomes.

I'm a really insecure person, even if I trust who I'm with. When they get jealous I get reassured that they do want me and aren't about to run far far away. When I get jealous it reminds me not to take them for granted.
