My mom had extremely low progesterone also. Unfortunately it went undiagnosed until after her 2nd miscarriage. Then she was put into oral hormone therapy and 10 months later, I was born! That was 29 years ago, and I know medicine and medical knowledge has advanced a lot since then. Needless to say, don't worry Rosie.

There are a number of childless straight couples who are being told that deciding not to have children is selfish. Now gay couples are being told that deciding to have children is selfish. Why don't they figure out what they want everybody to do and get back to us later? Until then, let us decide for ourselves how we want to live our own lives, if you don't mind.
I'm looking forward to you two having your own children. This world needs more people with your genes and DNA. Good people generally beget more good people and that's how this world continues to get better. Also you're going to be great parents and it will be adorable. Glad that this channel will document that side of your life as well to your own comfort level. At the end of the day disregard haters and do what is best for yourselves always.
I am a lesbian but I had sex with a man when I was 18 and got pregnant. I was not fit to be a mother and wanted a better life for my son, a life I couldn't provide. So I gave him up for adoption. He has a wonderful happy family and I see him once a year and everytime I see him I know I made the right decision even though it made me sad to do it.

ThatOneWeirdGal I’m so happy for you! I was afraid you were going to say you had an abortion, but thankfully you didn’t. So many girls nowadays “accidentally” get pregnant and feel that if they can’t provide for the baby, they should just kill it. I wish more could realize that adoption exists too. Imagine the guilt you’d feel your whole life knowing you’ve ended someone else’s life before they even got to live it..
@@koala_bear_camila8083 yeah, but at the stage of abortion, it has not formed any consciousness yet, so it is not a person, just a clump of cells and let's say a woman is raped and impregnated, should she wait until it is a person and them give birth to them? There are already too many people about and I guess that is why coronavirus shall take care of that too. Scientifically speaking they do not even have a formed brain in the first stages of pregnancy so why hurt a woman for a being that can not think or feel?

Yes Girls you are 100% correct! I'm 22 and i'm adopted and so are 5/8 of my younger siblings. I don't think i'll ever adopt, i don't want kids but if by some miracle i decide to there's a very little chance i'll adopt. The thing is adopting a child is incredibly risky and hard. When people say adopt adopt, they think it'll somehow be a breeze in the park, they think of new crisp babies that they will imprint they're entire personality on and it'll feel like their child all of the time and they won't have to deal with the amount of baggage alot of adopted children come with both emotionally and mentally. That's not even including the shitty abusive family they've probably come from. Taking in someones else's biological child/ren is one of the hardest things a person/couple will ever do.
Just because a couple isn't heterosexual doesn't mean they're obliged to automatically take in another mini stranger and commit to caring for it for the rest of their lives.
I'd give myself up for adoption if it meant there would be a slight chance these two would pick me up.
I know you guys get some hate for posting about baby stuff but it honestly helps me a lot! I'm only 18 but I constantly worry about my future because I really want kids and even though I'm bisexual, I just can't see myself marrying a man as I've never really had deep feelings for a guy. I'm also super anxious about settling down and having a baby with a woman because of the whole not being able to 'naturally' produce one, and all the methods of making a baby that are currently available to same-sex couples just feels unfair to me. I'm paranoid that if my partner is the one who carries the baby that I won't have a strong emotional connection with it, but I have a medical condition that means if I carry a baby it could be very dangerous for me :/
I just really want to thank you guys for talking about being a same-sex couple who are starting a family because it gives me hope that everything will work out for me in the future. Ever since I started watching you on youtube, it's helped me to accept myself much more than I thought I ever could and I honestly can't thank you enough! I love you guys so much, thank you :)

I was adopted by a single woman in the late 1980s, and I can't imagine having any other Mother. She is the biggest blessing in my life, and I am so lucky to have her! You two will be amazing Mothers some day, and I'm excited to see whatever you both decide to do!

Great point about "having to adopt" or not. I feel like the same thing happens when people say that people in gay relationships shouldn't have children "just because they want to" like it's just a whim, but really straight couples with no fertility problems have children "just because they want to" all the time. Whenever someone brings up this whole idea of it being a "nature" right to have children (i.e. there's a reason why straight people can biologically procreate but not gay people), if we think about it but with straight couples who can't have children because of fertility problems, it usually becomes clear that the original statement has more to do with the people being LGBTQ+ than being unable to have children

Können wir mal darüber reden, wie krank das deutsche Rechtssystem ist, wenn die nicht einmal erlauben zu einer Samenbank (ist das das deutsche Wort) zu gehen. Ich bin zwanzig, das heisst das Kinder eigentlich noch kein Thema für mich sind, aber wenn ich daran denke in 10 Jahren nach fucking Dänemark fahren zu müssen , nur um zu seiner Samenbank zu gehen frag ich mich, was mit Deutschland falsch läuft.

i have low progesterone. you get progesterone either injections or pessaries prescribed no matter what with ivf/iui so dont worry too much about that. also gps can prescribe progesterone to women who have miscarried before

Rosie idk if they can do this in England but in the States women can get their placenta put into capsules so you just take a pill every morning for a few weeks and get all of the benefits!!

my mum and dad took like over 5 years to be able to have me. it also cost then £10K as they eventually had to go through IVF. it took them 5 trials and so much emotional strength- it is so strong of you to go through this. LOVE YOU BOTH

Good luck to you both! My wife and I have been trying for about 6 months and we have switched back and forth who is carrying about 3 times, due to small complications. We are back on track now and hoping to start IUI to increase our chances!!

Agree so much with what you said about adoption! Personally I probably won't be able to get pregnant when the time comes & adoption has always been something I've wanted to do but nobody should be pressured into it or made to feel bad about it because genetically they can't have a child themselves!

Good luck on the baby journey. It's a beautiful process that can lead in so many new directions. My wife and I tried adoption first but things happened which then led to me conceiving our son first. For our next child, my wife's giving it a go....but after 18 months and a miscarriage we're doing our 2nd go of IVF. Remember to keep positive and the less stress the better. We're all rooting for you because lord knows the world needs more kids raised by eco conscious, socially & politically aware, educated kick ass people 👩👩👦

Hope feel better Rose! Adoption is beautiful. There are SO many children out there who would LOVE to have you two as moms 😊. I read a book titled "Hope's Boy" and I think you should read it because his story sold me on my decision.
For a laugh my auntie's husband ate part of the placenta when they had their second child. I don't think it's as big a deal as people make it out to be.
I wish you both the absolute best for the future! I really believe that you'll be the most wonderful mums a child could be blessed with. This video was so wonderful - I wish you a fast recovery from your hernia, Rose!
