I used to watch Vanessa's videos and did not know any English, today I can see her classes and understand everything she says, I'm happy and grateful for her classes.
From another perspective, you use "used to" here, is that mean you didn't watch her videos long time? :P
@Anders wang
If you say: I used to watch Vanessa's videos...
It means you don't watch her video anymore now. But you watched her videos continuously in the past.

I used to be shy when I first met someone.
🤔
Valéria Pirolo Konishi I used to be shy everytime I met my special someone.
then it's mean that until know you still shy when you meeting somene. Is that correct?
You are still introvert
Which one is right? I used to be shy when i first meet some one or I used to be shy when i first met some one ?
I have a question, is “ be used to” similar as “ get used to” ?
Good question.
Hi Betty, I have also seen "get used to" and I remember that is something like process or trying to custom something. For example, I get used to reading 10 pages in the morning. Well, someone taught me in that meaning.
Thanks for your answering. Yea, that's what I concern, and I just learned " get used to" means become accustomed to something and " be used to" means accustomed to

Vanessa, two things you forgot to mention are: 1. If you are using used to in a negative sentence you drop the "d" in "used"; for example, "She didn't use to eat cheese". 2. When you ask a question using "used to" you also drop the "d" in "used"; for example, "Did you use to eat a lot of candy?".
