Doing all of the research in the world doesn't prepare you for life. Things happen the economy goes bust, your health takes a turn for the worse. The person you were madly in love with is now your ex. THINGS HAPPEN PEOPLE. It's the time of the STEM related job market BOOM. We get it. Chris Atwood not necessarily. Genetics are only about 3-5 per cent. It could also be related to diet before and after pregnancy. Many factorial things contribute to health issues.

    9/10 of their debt is student loan related, and since wife is a school teacher she probably has pretty good health insurance. They are not going bankrupt because of their kids' health issue, but because something like 1/3 of their monthly income is going to pay student loans. And her husband could double his income working in a factory job, he needs to start pulling his weight.

      You meat debt? It depends on a lot of factors of credit scores, income, bills, etc.

    • @seugene7040
      @seugene7040 5 років тому

      Because the debt to income ratios(which is what all banks use) calculate based on the monthly payment, not the total amount owed. Those student loans are most likely on an income driven repayment plan, which in this case, would show low monthly payments, and would not shoot up red flags for other lenders.

    I will NEVER understand student loan debt in excess of $15K, my oldest son had $10K, his degrees is in Chemical Engineering and he works for an aviation company. The company is going to pay for his Masters AND they are paying him overtime for his classes. 👍
    My younger son graduated with NO debt and didn't have to come out of pocket for his business degree because of hi GPA. Is it really that hard for others to do the same? 🤔

    Dave , I've seen you advise people at times in ways I would disagree with.
    I've heard you advise other young men to move out of their rent free situation, and pay rent and save, when they could do the same thing without paying rent.... all rent does in those circumstances is cost them extra a month for a place to sleep when they could have it free.
    I just don't get the sentiment.
    Yea yea eagle doesn't leave the nest becomes turkey, but these eagles do soar, they do fly, they just return to the nest cause it will be a lot faster to get to the higher nest that way rather than sitting on a nest that's 2 branches lower but "its their own"

    I feel like there´s something missing in this story. Husband got a masters in HR and they have 3 kids, I assume they must be atleast in their late twenties or early to mid thirtys. There is no way he makes 20k with a HR masters multiple years out of college, they either live in a remote area with no big companies who hire HR managers or he is a drug addict and doesnt work in his career because of that. even the shittiest HR manager job should pay 40 grand or more, average is more like 80-120k.
