Dawn at Model Railway Quest made some good point about the industry. The HM7000 Bluetooth decoder got my attention. Smartphone interfacing. Bluetooth audio from Smart phone to speaker in loco? Add your own sound effects? Plenty of storage space on phones these day. Makes decoder simpler.
Sorry for the late reply, Dawn is not quite my cup of tea I’m afraid. She’s a good journalist who’s doing what good journalists do, digs out the information and then passes it on. I tend to follow model making or railway enthusiast channels. Fair play to her though, an off the shoulder top and a bit of lippy and she’s got 7K subs overnight & 85k views of just 1 video! Makes me look like a slacker! 🤣🤣
I'm hoping in April they announce some TT120 signals both semaphore and electric. I would like to see that the Class 37 is available in era 7 & 8 BR Blue and the BR grey liveries, same with the Class 08's they have an era 8 on pre-order for OO so why not TT.

Enjoyed this video. It's good to look forward and get excited about what may be coming, hopefully soon. My favourite Class 43 is definately the grey 'East Coast' livery. Have liked this since I saw a OO model. Looking forward to getting a Class 50 and would really like a DMU/EMU at some point, perhaps in phase 7.
I think we might be in luck, I’ve re-read the first club magazine and it clearly states that the class 43 set will be East coast mainline
Just noticed tonight that 2 of the class 50s and all of the class 66s are available to pre-order on the Hornby website sound fitted.
British Pullman is William Whitelaw and 3 illuminated Pullman coaches (TT Club Magazine, Autumn ‘22 page 23 in green block under more train sets) The planned sound profile releases for TT:120 lists the class 37 as Q2 ‘25 (none of the other planned diesels are listed) so I think that gives a fair estimation of when we might receive it. Absolutely hope they continue with the paper catalogue and the two copy concept is the sign of a proper enthusiast 😁

Also looks like it’s saying the HST will be the silver/grey East coast versions rather than the red LNER (which if true, I approve)

I like Era one, everything was smaller and less carriages. That makes it a lower cost of entry. Who has a layput big enough to run 4-8-2 or bigger at full speed? Hmm TT garden railway?

@@PeachyTT120 Only just found out about High Nickel content NS rail, much less corrosion. Used to spend lots of time track cleaning N, Z, those don't like dirty tracks. TT track is about 2' gauge in O scale? 32mm, 45mm code 250, 332 is expensive. TT garden?
It would be nice for hornby to concentrate more on modern imagine for TT120 to attrach some of the more younger generation?
I guess they need a balance but I must admit I thought something more up to date like an Azuma might have had priority in their plans

Have you looked at the phase announcement on the website from last year? I’ve heard from a number of sources that the 9F is cancelled/deferred. I’ve done a spreadsheet that I’ll post on your Facebook posting. It’s funny how we’re all looking for clues from material that was probably put together well over 18 months ago! I’m just as guilty as everyone else. April can’t come soon enough!
They should keep the catalogues, I'd buy them. I have every OO gauge Hornby/Triang catalogue except for numbers one and two. Some are a bit tatty, but they are all complete. British Pullmam Electric Era 3 has got to be the Brighton Belle, it ticks all four of the description boxes.
The only difference I can find are pg23. The older one has more in its “looking to the future” list and only one photo for the 21t wagons with an A/B added to the first wagon number (like they do only coaches with only a number change) the 2nd edition has the three 21t’s with each separate livery
I'm assuming this is a reply to someone else, since I mentioned my catalogue collection was 'OO' gauge Hornby/Triang dating back to 1955ish.🤔 My bad, I've just checked and have every issue except for number one. I've also got Wrenn, Lima, Mainline, Aifix/GMR catalogues. Love the nostagia when looking at these. Great entertaining video as usual.👍

At gaydon last year the 50s haas, hsts and coaches were said to be coming out in March and April.

Need the blue and yellow pair and swallow pair of 43s with a train of mixed colour coaches and 2 GWR coaches too. Both gbrf and blue 50s and 5 x66(1 to be converted to 59), yellow 31 and blue 37s for Acton Wells. Also need another 3x08s ( one in swallow, one in grey and one in GBRF). 73s and 47s would be good too Coaches will be mk1s and 2e or 2fs. One set in blue and grey and another mixed together for a West coast rake. Main wagons are stone hoppers and freightliner wagons with engineers wagons too. Expensive time coming!!
Just a minor thought but the quarters probably refer to the financial quarters rather than any other calendars. I always err towards the end of a quarter especially given the supply chains even before they get to Hornby.

As far as dates go - I just wish they would state the month/year expected. If it changes, thats OK, as stuff happens i the world.
I don't expect we will get many "new" announcements in April. Maybe just promote some items from "plus..." to phase 5. I expect we will see re-liveried private owner wagons/tankers to replace those sold out.

Yes I agree, I don’t understand why they don’t cultivate a better feeling amongst customers by sorting out their delivery/availability announcements. I for one would prefer them to say for example “available from September” then if the product arrives earlier, having an exciting announcement about it.
Yes I did allude to the weird coach deliveries when I suggested I wouldn’t be putting Mk2’s behind my HST, odd isn’t it?

The website now has the “what’s in stock” filter switched on automatically. If you turn this off it shows the full range.
Hi Chris. I thought I had Issue 1 of the TT:120 catalogue and was going to donate it to you. However, I appear to only have the Issue 2 version. Does Issue 1 actually exist?
Yup, I think a few of the earliest club members received it in their club welcome pack along with the first mag. The only difference is on pg23 with different mineral wagons liveries + a few less items in “what’s in the future list”
Hi Peachy, with regards to the class 43 (100N) East Coast, LNER red would be a good choice for Hornby as they would only have to print over the LNER logo with Coca-Cola and they would have an instant Christmas set. 😂😂Only joking... Or am I. 🤔
