Ingredients: Grocery List
1/2 - 1lb large peeled and deveined shrimp
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup sriracha
1/4 cup sweet thai chili sauce
1 - 2 tsp soy sauce
1.5-2 cups corn starch
2 beaten eggs and 2 tbsp heavy cream or half/half
Season corn starch to taste with salt, pepper, onion powder.
Directions:
Begin by defrosting your shrimp if you're using frozen. Once the shrimp are defrosted, go ahead and soak them in your buttermilk for a few minutes. While your shrimp are soaking, prepare your corn starch. Season the breading mixture to taste. (Ensure that the flavor in the corn starch seasoning is well balanced to your preference of salt/spice, etc)
Next, it's time to make your sauce. Mix together 1/2 cup of may, 1/4 cup sriracha, and 1/4 cup sweet chili. Taste and adjust spice level by tweaking the amount of sriracha vs sweet chili you decide to use. Then add 1tsp of soy sauce and mix thoroughly.
Next, prepare a plate or wire rack, and begin to bread your shrimp. Ensure that they are all evenly coated, and place them on the plate to rest while you prepare your oil for frying. I used a cast iron skillet here, but you can use whatever frying pan you like. Fill the pan up to about 1/2 inch worth of cooking oil. (high smoke point oil like peanut or vegetable). Carefully place your shrimp into the 350 degree oil and cook for 1.5-2 minutes per side. Flip and cook an additional 2 minutes or so. Carefully move the shrimp around in the oil regularly, to make sure that they do not stick to each other or to the bottom of the pan. Once the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through, remove them to a plate.
Add your shrimp to the sauce and coat. Garnish with diced green onion, and enjoy your new favorite appetizer! Thanks for your support!

Saw this video, realized i had ALL these ingredients chillin at home, literally just made some, and im commenting as i eat the bang bang shrimp i made following your recipe. 10000% PERFECT 👌🏼
No joke, i gave my mom some to try and she told me word for word “you know, this is way better than the ones from uhhh whats that place.... bonefish grill!” And i laughed cause you literally have that in your title!!! No coincidence there!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your support
😂😂
So many cooks don't allow their shrimp to chill out. You are a thoughtful chef to allow your shrimps to do so!
Ok, besides the banging recipe, can we seriously also talk about your amazing video and editing mad skills?!!!
Thanks! I have a good friend that helps me out a lot with all of that!
It’s the intro track and background music for me. Who’s the producer?
Weissman was much more like this when he started out but as he got more popular he put on that persona more and more and it became unenjoyable for me pretty quick.
I made this dish as an appetizer for my husband and I last night and we LOVED them. They were crispy even with the sauce on them and the sriracha gave them just the right amount kick. Needless to say this recipe was a WIN!! My husband has already asked for more today. 🤣🤣
You have made me a pure chef! I just tried this recipe and it’s delicious! Everybody loved it! Your my little secret!😝
I made this with the crabcakes the other night and I have no words for how good the shrimp was. My son said it was the best thing he’s ever tasted! Thanks for sharing. I love love love your recipes ☺️
1st thing i NEVER leave comments about anything EVER....
2nd i do not eat seafood, but my husband does. I followed the recipe, used shrimp for my husband and sub boneless skinless chicken thighs for me. (I chopped them into bite size pieces). Made a double batch of the sauce.... All i can say is AMAZING.. my husband was iffy because of the siracha, He isn't a fan. But it was the best appetizer ever. Thank you so much for this. Defiantly a good try with chicken if you do not eat seafood!
Thank you so much for the feedback and for trying the recipe!
Making this for my culinary professor! for an assignment this week! Love how light they are!
That’s awesome! Thanks for the support! Let me know how it turns iut
My 15yr old daughter made this tonight as an appetizer for dinner. It was sooooo good! Thank you!

Just made it for the dinner in the form of tacos, it was amazing! My picky family loved it ❤️
This popped into my feed. Gotta say, this was awesome. Specific, but no nonsense. With some humor but also education on certain ingredients. Hell yeah! :D
Thanks for the feedback and support!
Those look bomb! I like the lightness of the corn starch; it has a slight transparency where you can see the color of the shrimp.
A 16 years old being a chef herself!!!! Love you videos!!
Mr. Make It Happen is what's happening. I love all your recipes; very simple and straight to the point. Love it and Thanks 😊

Just tried this out today! my whole family enjoyed them and I thought they were absolutely delicious. the only tedious part is the coating and frying (I cooked 2 pounds of shrimp) but thats a given, otherwise it was so easy to make and so straight forward. love love love this recipe!! totally recommend everyone to try

Made these last night. Wow! Wow! Wow! They were delicious!!! The only addition I made was sprinkling seafood seasoning on top of the shrimp right after I took them out of pan. Most definitely will be making these again.

Old Bay FOREVER. I am from Baltimore we put the sh!t in everything!
Joanne Lindsay GOAT!
The first time I made these I followed everything exactly and we had them as an app. Last time I made these shrimp and put them in a wrap with some homemade slaw. Holy cow were they good! My 12 year old loves them!

@@MrMakeItHappen I don't see vids on jambalaya or dirty rice. If you ever did those we would LOVE to watch and make them at home. Either way, thank you for sharing your artistic craft with the world!
Made this tonight. It was so good! I drizzled the sauce over my shrimp though. Thanks for all the great recipes, Matt!
You’re like Joshua weissman’s chiller, wiser, more straight to the point, far less annoying/obnoxious brother. Ima give this recipe a shot looks fire
That’s high praise bro! Lol.. thanks for the support
Especially the annoying part. He didn't say things like "cwispy" lol
Not sure if you tried it man, but I made 3 times since this comment. All with different size shrimp too. All came out amazing and went fast.
I swear!!!
@@KevinRoehler who hurt you to think the word “cwispy” wasn’t funny
Even my very picky mother loved this. Thank you so much!
I made this two days ago !! I love this sauce I use the sauce on soooo many things!!
Nice!!
Yep, great sauce drizzled on grilled or fried fish, scallops, shoot I’d put it on McNuggets for that matter.
Thank you for this recipe, I made it this evening 8/13 and it was delicious 😋
I absolutely love these, a restaurant I worked at for years had them on the menu and at the time I thought it was the owner's idea haha. I will say though, if you really want more spice, the way we made it was with Sambal Oelek garlic chili paste instead of sriracha. Same company as classic sriracha, just thicker and spicier due to the red pepper flakes in the Sambal. Give it a shot, it's marvelous. Thanks for the video man!
This man needs recognition, he makes dishes very clean
Delicious seasoning tasting ingredients.
Headache is on the Horizon need plenty of rest and sleep 🛌 !
Thank You for Chef Cooking!

Thank you!
I've tried your recipe for this before and it was delicious! 😋
Thanks for the support!
I tried this and it has become an absolute HIT in my family / events. I also followed the same instructions and made bang bang chicken which was just as delicious 👌🏾‼️
Very happy to hear that. Thanks for the support
Did you also use cornstarch on your chicken?
I don't really sub to anyone but you earned it. I have a bad habit of frying things until they're brown (I love em with deep color and crispy). So when you said cornstarch will never turn that brown color, that was the biggest cooking tip I needed. I've fried things to oblivion waiting for them to turn dark and just kept wondering why they wouldn't. I've gained a new appreciation for shrimp lately and never had bang bang shrimp. I'll be making this some time soon. Also, great video. Thanks for the recipe!
Made these last night and they turned out amazing!!! Never thought to use cornstarch as a coating thanks for the tip!!
glad you enjoyed it!
This recipient is absolutely delicious!!
I just made this! It tastes AWESOME! Thanks!!!
I’m making this tonight. I’d really like to see a great carbonara recipe!
