  • Today i have a very special video.
Its the story about a pretty well known picture that was taken on the 17th of September, 1944. On picture was a little boy with men of 3rd battalion who were advancing towards Arnhem. I saw that picture in a book, and wondered if that little boy was still alive today...
So i looked up his name and searched the internet for his email or phone number. After searching for a hour... i finally found him!
And his name is Okko Luursema.
You will see the story being told, from the little boy himself!
    Coulorised by: Joseph Grant
    His facebook: @ww2colouringtheeasternfront
    Location: Doorwerth, The Netherlands.
Hope you guys enjoy this video! And looking forward to show you guys the next place!
    Thanks for watching!
    Salute!

Many thanks Sander and Okko for an amazing video it is an amazing story. It really made me think however about that Paratrooper did he get killed, injured or made it back and how Okko's family survived that terrible winter after Operation Market Garden.
Would it be possible to put the photo on Social media to find out more?
Best wishes and many thanks for sharing. Also is there any way we can support your channel are you on buy a coffee perhaps?

It is sad that i cant find or know the names of the soldiers in the photo... maybe indeed i can start something to find it out.
I could open a Patreon account, if you really want to help me out!
Simon, thanks again! Really appreciate that!
