If this was a "ploy", several helicopters were shot down and SU25 was documented shot down as well inside of Russia while attacking the Wagner convoy. I don't think the rebellion was a fake.

Here's a scenario which I think could be quite plausible. Lukashenko in Belarus has 'brokered' a deal to come up with a solution to the 'mutiny'. Putin has agreed to pardon Prigozhin allowing him to go and live in peace in Belarus. All of the Wagner mercenaries are forgiven. How nice.
What I think is really happening is that Putin, Lukashenko and Prigozhin have cooked up this drama and Prigozhin is now in Belarus to effectively take over. Wagner will then have all of Belarus's military hardware at their disposal (+ Belarussian personnel). The war then escalates on an additional front. Kyiv suffers devastation. Putin claims it's nothing to do with him. The West is taken completely by surprise.

Agree, Putin has backed down to easily. Belarus is already a weak nation if you hand this over to mercenaries like Wagner, they become an important pond to this chaos. The shortness of this "rebellion" and how easily Prigozhin defused the situation make it seem suspicious. The whole operation could be just a case of Russian maskirovka, which Russia used to move Prigozhin and Wagner PMC to Belarus in order to open a new front in Ukraine.

If this whole thing is real, and it wasn't actually an act as some people say, then Wagner had all the weapons it needed, and they were just baiting for more to conduct the coup.
The US uses private armies quite often. The tend to be more effective killers, because their soldiers are experienced in combat, mentally mature, and equipped with the better weapons, armors, and vehicles.

My conspiracy theory is that this whole drama in Russia for Prigozhin to rebel, march on Moscow, then strike a deal with the mediation of Belarus to get asylum there and get all charges against him dropped, is just an elaborate trick for him to move to Belarus to open a Northern front from Belarus to attack Ukraine and again try to capture Kiev which is just over 200 miles from the border. Since Prigozhin is technically a rebel force painted as not guided by the Russian state, It can be claimed that Belarus is not joining the war and Russian has not sanctioned the invasion and that it is just a rebel action

Russia is not the only country that has the bomb. If Belarus wants to still be country, then they better not launch at Ukraine. Putin knows better. The majority of people will be pissed if Ukraine is hit with a nuclear bomb.

Maybe there is the possibility that Wagner, to solve the duality within the Russian army, is going to continu to operate, but now from Bella Russian territory, so the internal dispute has a satisfying ending for all parties involved while at the same time keeping all the forces on the same side. Shoygu stays in power over the regular army and decides what happens on the south east side of the Ukraine and Wagner then do his own thing from the north. This way it is even an advantage for Russia. Lukashenko has now possible deniability when Wagner forces do "clandestine" things from his territory, there is an immediate threat for Ukraine on the north side, so they have to redirect troops from the south east and possibly adjust there strategy for the counteroffensive and Putin showed great leadership to the Russian people by having solved this great internal danger so quickly, be it through the means of Lukashenko.
So this internal "disaster" might as well caused even a greater threat to Ukraine, instead of an opportunity as it looked like in the beginning!
