We started our five daughters out eating low sugar and organic/grassfed whole food and as much from scratch as possible. It is expensive and time consuming but the best gift we can give them.
I love using frozen organic wild Maine blueberries in my smoothies versus regular blueberries. They're much smaller, but they have a much more pronounced, true blueberry flavor! ❤️.
Wow thank you sooo much Erin! I’m on my own journey to learn more about true healthy eating. Please please share any more things the Lord puts on your heart. He has let you gain a lot of knowledge in this which could really help a lot of women and families. May He help us eat and drink to the glory of God. All my love!! Thank you so so much Erin! Xxxx
What a blessing you are. I have started making smoothies to the exact recipe that you shared and they are absolutely delicious. I can have them on the FODMAP regimen that I am on for irritable bowel syndrome…substitute one meal for your smoothie. Thank you✝️💟
I love your videos Erin! I’ve always been so encouraged by you and your family since the show! I’m a big fan of healthy eating and taking as good of care of mine and my family’s bodies as I can. I have some feedback that I do hope you take positively and know I’m coming from a place of care. That is a lot of very expensive ingredients in one smoothie. The same nutritional profile can be achieved with fewer ingredients and greater quantities of the others. The wellness movement can easily sell a lot of information by persuading certain foods will make you feel a certain way or will work someway within your body. There are many ways to be very healthy with simple ingredients! I do love your recipes, and love when you share them😀
I see your point but I really enjoy her sharing what she does specifically. Maybe instead of doing away with showing what she does if it may be a little pricey, we could encourage her to do both! To tell us two recipes, one that she typically does with ingredients she uses and then also provide some suggestions of what could be swapped out either in the comment section or in the video at the end to remind others they could use different but similar ingredients. ☺️☀️
Thanks Erin, for sharing your time with us! Now it's a must try for me!! Finley is a cute little helper!😊 Love you guys! ❤️ Are you guys still in your current home or are you out now? Prayers continue for you and your family! 🙏❣️
I’m a Type 2 Diabetic and LOVE my smoothies 🫶🏻. Erin, I love your variation. I’m gonna check out your ingredients and see what I can have. Love ya. Thanks
Berries are low glycemic and the protein and fiber in it should counteract any natural sugar spike. You’d probably just have to leave out the maple syrup. (I’m also type 2)
Love it! When you replace your blender, consider a Vitamix. When I make a smoothie, I use frozen banana and it’s like a milkshake. If you use less liquid, it’s like soft-serve ice cream. So good!
Keep in mind that adding bananas to a smoothie, greatly reduces the nutritional value of berries. I use fresh or frozen avocados instead, and eat bananas separately. 😊
@@57msdeb - Yes, adding bananas to a smoothie greatly reduces the nutritional value of the berries, as well as decreasing the absorption of flavanols. Flavanols are a key antioxidant in berries. 🌿
Thank you❤ for sharing!!! I use the same ingredients for the base, but I will add ginger, chia and the maple syrup, all sound amazing!!! 😁 The kiddos are adorable and you're an amazing Mama feeding them so healthy!
Erin, we are on the SAME journey! I’m doing all these things but I think I need more protein after seeing your smoothie! So great tips!! Thank you! 🙏🏻 😊
🙏 ❤ 🙏 kids dont always know whats good for them but they do know what taste awesome Authentic Lovely Video ❤ Loving The Way Whole Fam Gets Involved Too 😊
I love that you became crunchy haha because I loved watching you and now I love watching your food videos too that's such a good idea. I love the seven Sundays cereal too. Such a game changer for our healthy
Hello Erin 🥰 I was wondering if you could please share even a few places/books that you would recommend for me to learn more about healthy eating and what is in our food? There is so much out there and I’m a little overwhelmed at where I should begin. I’ve been praying for God to guide me🙏 thank you so much sweet sister 😊💕
We dont do dairy but we LOVE smoothies - my favorite green one is spinach (I ilke it cooked), lettuce cucumber, celery and pineapple. I usually leave a bit of that in the blender and add berries (blueberry, raspberry or strawberries) for the children, though some will drink just my veggie one! The green one will last a couple days in the fridge too!
Thanks Erin! I make mine very similar, but I need to try Keifer my daughter does Keifer and chia seeds. I need to get both of those. You are so beautiful and your kiddos too. God Bless you all! PS I haven't heard or seen more on the move you and Chad were talking about.
Story time! Today I was thinking I’d love to watch a Chad and Erin video a few hours later, my daughter Julianna who is 9, randomly jumped and told me she wants to cuddle up on the sofa and watch a Chad & Erin video and my jaw dropped! She had no idea I had the same thought!! ❤ so then I prayed and wondered what if it shows up as the very first video on my YT feed and by golly it was!! It was meant to be! It’s God’s little treat for our family! We love and adore your family’s videos and we are also a healthy smoothie family as well! I like to add their Mary Ruth’s probiotics in there! ❤ God bless! Can’t wait to see more videos! My kids suggested they would love to see videos of your kids playing together in the backyard :) ❤
Your smoothie looks awesome. I’ve done smoothies for years but will be upgrading after watching this! Also, are you in a new home? The background looks unfamiliar.
I have 3 kids and my middle guy is 14 now and still requests a smoothie every day! ❤ I have made it with plain grassfed kefir a few times. Since I can’t buy it locally, we only have that sometimes.
Awesome!!! Just a tip you want to soak your chia seeds first because they are digestible that way, also alternating raw and slightly cooked spinach (just wilted) because it has different benefits and digestibility. Looovvveeee seeing this content from you!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you for sharing this video. As a type 2 diabetic, ive been looking into doing things like this, especially for breakfast! So i am goingbto invest in a good blender now and try this out, does the rest freeze well? Im sure you never have leftovers but its just me. Thank you for the content
This is SUCH a good idea for an easy breakfast for kids! I can't wait to make it! Also, is that an old door behind Finley? Have you ever tested it for lead paint? I didn't know if you knew, but it definitely looks like it has lead paint 😞 Some people don't realize that, so I just wanted to let you know ❤
This looks so good! Could you scale it down the recipe for just 2 people? I started making your homemade granola a few years ago and it's become a family favorite☺
I would love to see more of these videos of feeding a family healthy

So can you give an example of how you would make it more cheaply with a similar nutritional profile?

I use my bananas to mix with mangos, pineapple, and organic unsweetened dessicated coconut for a tropical smoothie. 😊

Try adding in some kiwi, they are super healthy for you and bring out the flavour of the berries 😊
I do a very similar recipe, but with celery and flax added.
Saving to try! Thanks Erin ❤
she is a cute little helper, the smoothie looks delicious
Mmmm I’m off to make a smoothie now!
I have 3 kids and my middle guy is 14 now and still requests a smoothie every day! ❤ I have made it with plain grassfed kefir a few times. Since I can’t buy it locally, we only have that sometimes.
I love this video!! You might want to invest in a Vitamix blender. It blends beautifully!!
I am going to try this after I can find all the ingredients. 😅 I do have that same Kitchen Aid blender
Happy Fall

I LOVE cooking my spinach before making a smoothie, didnt know there were different health benefits though. so cool! I just like the taste better.
Grind the chia seeds 👍. No cooked spinach 👎
It’s not cooked like you’re thinking I’m sure, not super wilted or mushy and grinding the seeds also has different benefits from soaking 🙂
What a sweet helper you have today🩷
I love these videos Erin!
Wow that’s how I make my smoothies but I add lots of cinnamon and peanut butter. Yum. You guys are precious and Jesus is our Lord!
it looked so delicious
Wonderful
