This was an awesome video for how to play some beautiful basketball. Well done coach, your team seems disciplined and you have them performing at their best. 👍
Excellent & easy to understand video! In your opinion, would this be too difficult to teach a 4th grade boys team?…unfortunately every team we play against plays a zone defense.
Having to teach a zone offense to kids that age can be tough. I don’t agree with teams playing zone at that age. Zone offense can take some patience. I think this offense is easy though and may help if you’re up to the challenge. Hope it goes well and good luck Coach.
See this offense as your foundation and then build from there. Yes we assign spots on the floor. Specifically we will determine who is in the nail and flank. Traditionally, it is a 3 out 2 in offense. However you can change it to 4 out 1 in or 5 out while using the same principles and concepts. Explaining the variations sounds like a good video idea.
@@championshiphoops3191 If its something doable and if you receive multiple request coach, Can you please discuss how and when to implement full court press coach. how to have players understand and react from it how to read. Thanks alot. More power to u n your team n your families. God bless.
You can you just have to change the front. You have to be in a 2-1-2 set. We just learned some new spacing that we use this year against off front defenses. It’s really good. Video about it will be out soon.
I’m my Zone offense I have the opposite big flash from block so each big is taking turns flashing forming an X. In this offense better to just keep the same big at the foul line?
I think it’s whatever fits your team best. If you have two players you like in the high post then sure flash them. Either way will work if you just maintain spacing and the other dives to the goal on the catch
Great video! Would you recommend this offense for a 5th/6th grade rec team? I know we have to keep things simple, but we also need some type of structure/rules for them to follow. Thanks!
The ability to shoot 3’s really makes this go. Stresses the defense to make decisions. You can do it with younger kids but I would encourage your guards to attack gaps.
Hi Coach, we believe that as we focus on getting the ball to the flank and the nail that it will create opportunities for the perimeter players. We typically get a ton of three point shots and shooting is something we focus on daily. At times we can run a quick hitter if we need to get some flow going. I will upload a zone offense play soon. Hope this helps and good luck this season coach.

I've listened to dozens of videos on breaking down the 2-3. This is the most concise, clear, and informative I've watched. Thanks!
Glad it could help coach! Good luck this season.
Really good! Nice and simple to use with a youth YMCA team.
Excellent explanations. Thanks.
Yes sir! Good luck coach!
Comment your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas of how you attack zone defenses. Thanks for watching - Coach Mendez
Wow! This is very easy to understand. And the game videos helped demonstrate it.

Thanks coach

Thank you!
Nice. Do you assign positions? Is this a 3-out/2-in formation always or is there flexibility on your team within the flow?

Nice offense I’m gonna try it with my team
Thanks for watching. Good luck coach and let me know if you have any other questions.
Do you have any film on how you get your perimeter shooters involved in this offense??

@@championshiphoops3191 awesome. Thank you! I’m looking forward to more content.
So easy. I wish I can find some teammates to run this. Our league's go-to defense is 2-3.
Glad it got you motivated to try something new. Good luck this season!
