Yes, I would use this against any odd front defense. If the defense is in an odd front, we are in a even front. If the defense is in a even front, then we are in a odd front. I recommend you check out our other videos to see what else we do against zones. I just put out something we did this past year against odd front defenses. It goes along with our basic zone offense principals.
Any footage of attacking a better 1-3-1 zone? Bad defence is bad defence. Any footage vs a more extended 131 where the point of the defence is taller or more athletic?
We can’t control the other teams and how they play defense. Regardless of how they extend or their personnel this is how we would attack them. We attack the 1-3-1 in 3 different ways. There are two videos on the channel. A third one will be dropping soon.
What’s up coach, we honestly do not run many actions to get into this set. Our kids know when we see this defense we will be in an even front and split the defender. Then we follow our basic zone offense principles. We can add some adjustments here and there that I talk about in another video.
This does not address when teams extend the 1-3-1 to trap high... Most teams now trap 30 feet from the rim and do not lay back and just let you dribble to get offense running
Whats up coach. If a team extended this zone out we would attack using the same principles and spacing. I think it would be easier to attack if they extend it out because now we have more space to work with.
