My parents lived in East Crescent. I moved away from Loftus in 1978. But l always returned when l could, it was home. Mum passed away in 2015. Family home sold. I have not returned to Loftus. Your video brought back nice memories. Thanks.
I am looking to relocate to North Yorkshire , I have a relative living in Filey but the properties are just out of my price range , Loftus looks ideal and also some of the other surrounding areas .
Loftus is a decent place to live. As most small Towns and villages, it has suffered with shop closures. But that said there are still a few decent ones left. And there are a few community groups trying to help the town. Also less than 5 miles away we have a thriving shopping centre area with Asda, Aldi, B&M aswell as Macdonalds. And like the video shows. We have The Moors, The Seaside & Woodlands all around us. If you enjoy walking, you cant go wrong. Hope I was of some help. 🙂
Hi Phil , nice video with some great shots. It looks a nice little down. We are thinking of moving to Loftus as its close to the sea and housing looks still affordable. Is Loftus thriving or is everyone moving out and the shops all closing down?
I was a resident for many years and visit regularly (not now because of lockdown) but its a great place and the houses are unbelievable value. Thriving? No but where is in the North East these days that can provide such value in a fabulous location.
