Here to comment my appreciation during the postgame interview: Braden interjected right at the end that he was coming after Zach's rebounding record. 😂😂
His quick delivery! "I'm gonna get that record!" Go get em B! 🎉🎉🎉

It doesn't matter who starts. What matters is who plays the most. Game dictates whom needs to be playing. TKR has started every game this year yet Mason plays more minutes.

Doesn’t matter if he’s starting or not… just deserves way more mins. 20 mins a game at least. Dude is a beast

I may have over-reacted to 1 loss in 11 games. There's just a lot of trauma still. I stand by the fact that it is just ridiculous that Loyer and Morton are playing D1 college basketball in a power 6 conference tho. 37 wasted minutes combined between them today - they combined for 0 points (not gonna count the technical foul free throws). Heide and/or Colvin should've been developed by this point in the season to take those middle schoolers' minutes. To think Loyer is SUPPOSEDLY good enough to get 3x the minutes of Heide is hilarious. Loyer-Stan's are hilarious at this point. Loyer is not better than Heide at almost anything, Heide has athleticism plays defense and is a better shooter. Did Heide do enough in his 10 minutes to get more time going forward, Painter? "No". Like just give me the athleticism and the defense for one damn season that Zach Edey is still here - I don't care what happens - and yes we had that with Ivey back when Edey was in a time share sophomore season, but Ivey doesn't play defense like Cam. Cam is the best of both worlds and painter still wants to flop around with white guys in a 12 year olds body aka Loyer and Morton. Cam is national championship upside and it doesn't take me to see that. Loyer and Morton do not play on national championship teams anymore. In the 12 combined minutes Heide and Colvin play in most games they just have to pray to god that they get put back dunks like this game. It's asinine they do this and painter still goes back to Loyer and Morton after. Can't imagine what Heide and Colvin are thinking watching middle schoolers play all the minutes over them. Colvin prob thinks it's racism - Colvin I get tho cuz he's sucked on defense, but Heide is just ridiculous. Painter KNOWS his best line up is Heide/Gillis/Braden/Edey/Lance - and every once in a while he has admitted it. Heide and Colvin just both gotta hope they make their one 3 they get in garbage time. Meanwhile Loyer can go 1/7 and stay in. Loyer is 3/22 past 5 games no joke. And has been burned for approximately 100 points in those 5 games not exaggerating. Sorry for the rants but no one will listen to me - painter sure won't. I try to contact him via the UA-cam channels but I don't think he gets on social media cuz he doesn't wanna hear about all the double digit seeds he's lost to from playing white guys in middle school bodies. Someone needs to explain to him how bad Loyer is on defense - like it's just insane.

If you looked at the advanced metrics you'd see exactly why Morton and Loyer get more minutes than Colvin. Morton Defensive BPM: 5.1 (best on the team and just outside the top 10 in the country). Loyer DBPM: 2.3. Colvin DBPM: 1.5. Colvin has significantly better offensive BPM than Morton and slightly better than Loyer, but not enough to make up for the defensive shortcomings. In short, the analytics say that the team plays better with them on the court. Especially Morton, despite how bad his offense is. It's just math. I'm not saying that Painter is looking at those deep stats and making decisions based on that, but those stats are reflective of what's happening.
Heide's total BPM is better than all of them, and I think we'll see more of him accordingly. Don't be surprised if we see him getting the most minutes of all of them in the near future (technically he's a forward though). If Colvin tightens up his defense just a bit, he'll get more opportunities as well. Simple as that. He's close.
