Euli the Red tailed Black Cockatoo is a star of Australia Zoo's free flight bird show and a great flier. Sometimes he likes to go on his own adventures that's why he's got a tracker attached to his tail. His favourite foods are fruits and seeds. In aboriginal stories Red Tailed Black Cockatoo are thought to be the bringer of fire. They mate for life which can be a long time over 80yrs, which is one reason they don't make good pets.

I had one as a pet - hand reared it. It was an awesome pet but you have to love bird and parrots and have some knowledge for sure. I had to move to a unit so I returned him to the breeder - sadly. I still miss him. He was as smart as a dog. Hopefully Barney is breeding like crazy and still going strong. I'm sure he'll outlive me!

They are currently on Saturday evenings in Oz with their Mum Terri as Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors and I think coming in NZ soon. Being in the US I've only seen trailers but the show does include Croc Camp footage from Cape York and from some of their reserves in Queensland which are also in the bush. Their Dad Steve also drops in via archival footage. From what I've seen I hope the show comes to the US soon

yes their father was steve irwin. he had a a show on about all his adventures with animals. unfortunately he died from a sting wray attack. to get more info just google steve irwin. :) hope that helps.
