Day 2 at Huntington Lake up here in the Sierra National Forest Recreation Area, getting my hke on early in the morning, hiking the Rancheria Falls Trail to Rancheria Falls, beautiful, fairly easy hike if it wasn't at 7,500 feet. Switching campgrounds from College Campground to Deer Creek Campground. Head out to Dam #3 to talk a little bit about the history of the lake.
FYI: Lakeshore at this time (6/6/21) is not open. Bring plenty of supplies.
We are camping now on Jun-2024 and using this great video! THANK YOU!
That was a nice video
So many times went fishng on the dam @ hunington lake 😊🌵🌲
Never knew a plane crashed there .
so beautiful!
Rancheria Falls….. my first hike upon relocating to Fresno! Just had to return to this video to say thanks! I learned about the hike from this video--we loved the hike, short with a great waterfall reward. 💥
Love all your videos so informative and interesting. I'm Foothill foo!On utube I travel most of the roads you have traveled. LOVE IT!
Nice video bro! Heading up this July will make the hike to Rancheria Falls
ok, I paused it to say arent drones awsome. back to the show.
Coffee tip... in a pinch, those bottled frappuccinos actually make for a pretty good flavored creamer for your hot coffee, especially if you cut them with a little milk.
I have done that before...if I have milk, no problems...LOL...
Fantastic....Love it.......the rushing water of rancheria falls is...music! It's hard to walk away.
Man, and that PORTAL powerhouse...that water sure shoots out with some force doesent it?
You were standing on Dam #1...
thanks, I had the dams reverse in my mind, LOL
this should be good. now, i watch.
You just gave me a few more reasons to go back to that area, in addition to Pub N Grub 🤣
Nice flyover Gilligan’s Island. That’s what I decided to call it now 🤪
HHahha
Some of the B-24 was recovered back in the 80's. My dad took photos of parts of the aircraft on a flatbed truck. A few parts feel off. Dad gave them to me.
Oh wow, that is amazing. How cool is that?
I was sick when I saw the ariel over Deer Creek campground. Looks like 60% of the trees are gone. I remember when you you could camp pretty much anywhere you could find an open space. That area was an Indian camp. We alway found obsidian shards and arrowheads on the beach. The obsidian came from the eastern Sierras.
Is it too cold to boat in early june, from your experience? or to camp with the kiddos?
definitely depends on the year, sometimes so for sure
@@EgoDrivenFilms could we shore/park the boats right by our campsite?
