Thank you so much for sharing this great video about traveling to Barcelona! I so love the BGM of the video I seem to feel the warmth of Barcelona ❤🔥 These practical tips will undoubtedly help first time travelers planning a trip to this beautiful city to better prepare their itinerary. I'm also very excited to see what kind of different Europe I'll encounter while traveling by AVE! My friend taught me how I can get cheap train tickets and if I add the TIPS from this video so I can save so much on my budget ~ wait for me! Barcelona!
Thank you kindly for taking the time out of your day to write us this awesome comment! We are so so happy you found it helpful and might be able to save a little money on your trip. We traveled for an entire year with a budget of $82 a day. We didn’t quite make it till the end, but we had to cut some corners here and there. It was a fun adventure for sure!
I loved this video! I’m visiting Barcelona mid-June before a cruise and I’m so glad I came across your channel! You guys had me giggling and I felt like I was on the journey with you! Thanks so much for sharing your insights 😊
Thank you so much that’s our goal every time we make a video just bring you guys with us along for the journey. We are so jealous of your cruise and we hope that you found some some jams that you can add to your list when you visit Barcelona. Next time, please take us with you.
Thank you so much comments like these mean the world to us. None all the comments are positive but we appreciate that you enjoyed our video and hopefully you get to visit Barcelona and stop by at some of the places we recommended.
Thank you so much you’re so welcome. We had a blast filming this one on our short trip to Barcelona! We are jealous of your trip already have the best holiday. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much Barcelona is such an incredible place. We were lucky to visit in January, so the crowds were a little bit less so than they are during the summer. But it is just an absolutely beautiful destination with amazing food and the coolest architecture. Thank you for your comment and for watching our video.
Thank you! I am planning a Western Mediterranean Cruise beginning in Barcelona for my 60th Birthday in July 2025. I am so excited! Your video was a great help! Still trying to decide on a stay over hotel in a good location, close to shops and food and easily accessible to the good sites.
DO IT! Such a rad place! We had a blast filming this one and can’t wait to visit again when we have more time! Thanks for taking the time to watch our videos and leave a comment! See you soon m!
Amazing! Thank you so much! It’s funny we went to get Mexican food there and are now posting mexican videos where we will probably eat tapas😂. Thanks a million for watching and for the kind comment. Have the best time on your trip, we are jealous!
We had our trip in late October. Regarding the Sagrada Familia, there are no "skip the line" tickets (now...don't know about then). All tickets are for specific time and must be booked quite a bit in advance. I had aimed to book two weeks in advance but got distracted with Canadian Thanksgiving and when I tried to book, 10-12 days in advance and it was all booked! I searched and searched and finally found a tour operator with availability during the time we were in the city. Not the time we wanted, and WAY more expensive ($180Cdn for 2, guided tour). It was worth it, I learned so much with the guided tour! Unfortunately, it was raining! Still gorgeous!
Oh noooo!!! I’m so sorry, we will add an amendment into our description for others. We happened to be there in January so possibly it was a little slower around that time. We are frustrated in our travel post Covid. You never used to need a guide or booking for things like this and you could just show up and get in. So Much has changed. Thanks for the info, we hope you had an incredible time in Barcelona!
Thanks so much! We are dying to do a cruise again! We go once every couple years it seems. What cruise line are you guys taking and where are you headed!?
@@HeresGoodTravel the new Sun Princess transatlantic from Barcelona to Florida. Our first time on Princess and our first time sailing a transatlantic. We love cruising and we love trying new things like lines, ships, and itineraries. So yeah .. we're excited about Barcelona and about our cruise!

I don’t know how I found your video, but I’m glad I did. Great video and timely for me. Planning a trip with a few days in Barcelona. The food looks great. You guys are great tour guides of the city. Love the hotel too. Thanks again for a great video.
We struck gold with that hotel! Such a great location and beautiful view! You’re going to have the best time there, we are already jealous! Thanks a million for watching our videos and leaving us this awesome comment! Have an amazing trip!
Thank you for the great video! I had a question about weather and activities in Barcelona visit between April 25 -May 3. Is this weather for beach or is it too early? Is it light jacket weather?
Thanks so much! Depends on where your from and what you consider beach weather. I think that time of the year the highs are about 70 Farenheit 21 Celsius. But Barcelona is really sunny so you could get lucky with a beautiful day to spend at the beach. Even if you do have to pack a light jacket it’s still worth going down there for a picnic because the coastline there is stunning. We hope you have the best time and thanks so much for watching!
I booked a Transatlantic Cruise from Barcelona to Galveston for March/2026. I was wondering what time of year you were there. Great tips on all the food and Churches!💙💙💙
January- The weather is great, we had light puffer jackets and tennis shoes, no winter gear needed! Thanks for watching, have a great cruise! We have yet to do a transatlantic cruise but we hope to soon!

Thanks so much! What month was this? We’ve booked a Nov travel but was told it can get really cold plus days are shorter in Nov so we may not be able to do as much. Thanks!
No way! We were there in January! The weather was amazing. We had a thin puffer jacket and a hoodie that’s all we needed, even late at night. The sun sets earlier but that doesn’t stop the people from parting! Barcelona eats very late, some restaurants don’t even serve dinner menu until 8pm. You’ll have no problem still enjoying the city even with shorter hours of sunlight! We love europe in November, much less tourists and a light fall breeze, you also might get lucky to see the beginning of Christmas decoration set up. Thanks for watching, have an awesome trip!
Come to Cali next time you want some chicharrones. I’m sure we’re a lot closer than to Barcelona (if you live in N. America). You can find them at nearly every (if not every) Mexican market or even at some taquerias. They’re the meaty ones, too, and won’t disappoint. 😋
We were in Barcelona a week ago and loved it. Definitely take the tours for tips Gothic quarter tour if you get a chance. Also look for a chance to cook with a local to experience making Paella. I would definitely go back but we didn't do a lot of the traditional tourist places. We explored a lot on our own. Get a transportation pass and go. We felt very safe and went all over.

So this was filmed last January and we’ve been told Hostemplo prices have gone up. Barcelona received record tourism this summer and prices are skyrocketing! We prefer wi get travel as prices tend to be much cheaper. We lucked out but the weather was beautiful and we got to see the 3 kinds parade as well! Good luck finding an affordable spot. That hotel was great and worth more than we paid
Sorry about that. Price seems to be much higher now than when we visited but here’s a proper link! Check out Hostemplo Sagrada Familia on the Expedia app. expe.app.link/VmVpTGxZGIb
We flew ryanair from Morocco. Not a long flight. We have a great budget airline tips video to help people save money while traveling. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/tMxCen-esss/v-deo.htmlsi=ZQCCPtbPBdgLlJUG
It was called “Hostemplo” there are multiple locations we stayed at the Segrada Familia location. Other viewers have let us know the price is 2 or 3 times what we paid in January! Not sure if it was new or if we just went during off peak times. Good luck!
I am traveling to Barcelona in April. Do you recommend renting a car? We are planning on going to Madrid and Bilbao as well. That is why we are getting a car.
We can’t really answer that because we don’t have any experience renting a car or driving in Spain, or EUROPE for that matter. High speed rails connect those cities and they are surprisingly affordable, convinent and fun. You can see our review of one here: ua-cam.com/video/pgA_Uo82A2Y/v-deo.htmlsi=GC4Srp8TPelFRiXw. Public transit are readily available and easy to find on google maps and ride share apps exist in all those places. Also parking at hotels and around the city could pose as a challenge but a more familiar one if you aren’t used to riding European public transit. I would say if you are mostly in cities then I wouldn’t rent a car but if you plan a more rural trip it might be fun to drive. Have fun!
I’m heading here in April and wanted to book the Hostemplo as it seems like an amazing deal but the prices are showing as over $350 for 2 nights! Did you guys have a discount code or something? Or have prices just gone up? I’m looking for a Wednesday and Thursday night too, not a weekend 😢
Holy cow! That’s insane! We were there in January 2023 for three kings day and didn’t have any type of promo code. Somebody commented the they got a good rate. It was a GREAT spot and honestly worth more than we paid for it but might be worth looking somewhere else. If you have been looking in the same internet or device it’s worth deleting your internet cookies as this is a good way to erase search history and possibly reset prices to their lowest. Alyssa just looked and it seems the price for that spot has gone up a ton. Maybe we got “winter” pricing.
@@HeresGoodTravel thanks for replying so quickly! Yeah could just be seasonal prices. We are thinking of staying a little out of Barcelona just to avoid the crazy hotel costs. Even the hostels are 100€ a night! It’s crazy!
Thanks for your video. We get off the New Sun Princess March 9 to 11 and your hotel is 147Euros ,I'm stunned at the high Barcelona prices. We found an ok room with a great breakfast for 112 euros walking distance from the Port and right next to the metro obtw metro ticket are twice the cost of Rome and the Catalina churches defiantly pail in comparison of the Roman Bacilics Thanks again 😊 obtw we will go to Ganada next we recommend Granada ❤ Also we would gladly trade Gaudi park for Ciutadella Park ! It's next to the zoo and is close to the beach and downtown area and it's free :)
Thanks so much! We will definitely be back to Barcelona and visit the Cituadella park! It was a bit more expensive for sure which is why we could only stay such a short time. We are in Mexico now and it’s WAY more affordable. Thanks for watching and commenting, happy adventuring!
@HeresGoodTravel I live most of the time in changmi, Thailand and all over Thailand a fabulous resort is aboutwenty dollars a night which includes a beautiful breakfast for 2 people Asia, except for a few spots like. Singapore, Japan, South Korea are all very expensive. Most of Asia is cheap and amazing.
So sorry, we can’t remember the answer to this but we are pretty sure the stalls take credit card. Most things are pretty affordable so even if you only have a few euros you should be able to make some purchases.
We were able to use our card everywhere in Barcelona even at the food market. We’ve found that since the pandemic cards are in use everywhere including most street vendors. We had some cash on us but did not use any of it. We also prefer to use our card so that we can get points to cash in on flights!
It was Hostemplo but as others have mentioned the price seems to be much more expensive this season. We traveled in January so we think they may have just opened or offering deals. The public transit there is really good so maybe you could find a place 15 minutes out of the central district along a subway line. Good luck and have fun!
I’ll leave the link for you here but just a heads up the price has gone up a ton for that place. I think we scored a major deal when we went! www.hotels.com/affiliate/pj9alMz
Great! So glad you could find some value in this video. Barcelona was one of our favorite cities we visited on our 100 day journey across Europe, you’re going to have so much fun. We want to go back with a little more time on our hands next time! Cheers!
Thanks! They had some awesome salsas! We spend a ton of time in Mexico so that was a taste of home for sure! Thanks for watching and taking our recommendation! Salud!
Thanks! We actually should have brought that up. I think we’ve mentioned it in some of our other church visiting videos in the past. Thank you for watching with a keen eye and leaving us this nice comment. Have a great day!
Nice video. Thank you. Came in handy. In exchange I'll leave you some tips to improve the video. When mentioning locations, put the names in writing on the screen. Cause us foreigners wouldn't know how to write it and therefore how to find it. A zooming on a map helps to get some idea of the direction in the city. Maybe you could make another video for the non-touristy tourists. Since every tourist guiding video is about the buildings, museums and main streets. But for example for us, we are more interested in the hidden tips, we couldn't care less about paintings, museums and wouldn't pay anything to go into an old building.
Preach! Thanks so much for the comments! Great great tips! We honestly are working towards this but still learning how to add maps and things like that in the future. It’s surprisingly difficult to make the animations but we are actively learning. LOVE the idea of doing a touristy vs non-touristy video too! If you’ve seen our Mexico series you’ll see we travel just like you and don’t spend much time in tourist traps but since it was our first visit to Barcelona and we only had two days we wanted to get a feel for the city! We will be back and we will make another video!
I know! It seems the price has gone up significantly since we stayed. We visited over the three kings celebration January 4-10, 2023. I’m sorry, but we appreciate you watching and hope you have a great trip!
@HeresGoodTravel crazy how it changed. My SIL just tried to tell us we could get a really great hotel room in Barcelona for $180Cdn because she did when she walked the El Camino in Sept 22 🤔 I can't find anything under $200, even $250 is a challenge
We have a link to our Expedia link in the Bio of the video but that price was January 23’. As other viewers have reported the price was up closer to $140 during peek travel times. We would say that for the location and experience it would be worth that price though. expedia.com/affiliates/heresgood/hostemplobarcelona
No but we live in San Diego which is about a 15 minute drive to Mexico from our house. We go often and have a bunch of friends who live down there. Thanks for watching and commenting, we can’t wait to visit Spain again!
Your hotel was so cheap! Our hotel for May is $250 per night! We are in La Rambla. We already have tickets to Sagrada and also booked 2days of hop on hop off. I heard horror stories about the metro so not using that. We have 3 days before going on a Disney Cruise.
Actually the hotel we stayed at is way more expensive now! We must’ve lucked out or maybe because it was January. If we go back we will do the hop on hop off but we had a good experience on the metro.
Just came back from Barcelona and do not want to go back for more. Be aware that what you see, usually from vlogers, may not match the reality. Barcelona is crowded, loud, busy, dirty city. Stay away from most attractions and you will find areas that are much nicer, pleasant with green parks. Traveling alone I felt safe during the day and night, and did not see any crime. I left my cell, by mistake, in an open, on a cafe counter, while paying for coffee and it was not touched plus a nice barrista lady kept an eye on it. The food quality and prices in all tourist areas are low and high. The prices and quality outside of the main fares are much better. Local people are very friendly and nice, most speak English. The spanish food packs a lot of fat, carbs and cals. No salads or fruits to be found on most of the menus. Not a place I would ever want to come back.
Thanks for adding this useful information. We were craving some veggies by the time we left for sure. We were lucky to travel in January and even though it was the three kings parade the crowds were much smaller than they normally would be. If we go back it would be furring this time again.
There were a lot of fruit selections at La Boqueria, and actually took videos of it. I was there 2016 and was impressed how clean it was so we are excited to go back in 2 weeks for another cruise with Disney. We only stayed for 2 days last time, so we are going to stay for 3 days. Cannot wait for some Seafood Paellas and Sangrias.
@@HeresGoodTravel Not your bad, he´s just delusional. Catalonia IS part of Spain, but there´s a bunch of independentists posting the same thing on UA-cam, ad nauseam. They like to target videos made by foreigners, to cement their international political delusions. Just ask him what his passport says... ;) Best!
We were lucky when we went that it was not very crowded in January. We prefer winter travel for this reason. We noticed that some cities are starting to do anti-tourism campaigns, which makes sense as overt tourism can hurt the culture of the city. We hope that there’s a way to do this sustainably since travel as much different post Covid.
We could see how you could have this opinion. It’s hard for us as travelers. We can’t always find the best food everywhere we go, but we did think that Barcelona was beautiful and we were lucky enough to visit in the winter when the crowds were a little bit smaller and it wasn’t quite as warm. Will definitely return though.
@@HeresGoodTravel agree, I think we had high hopes and were expecting Spain to be more like Switzerland, Southern Austria, Northern Italy. It was okay. I don’t think we care to go back.

Hi there ! Great video - what time of year did you visit :)
Thanks so much for watching g! We were there early January and the weather was awesome!
It’s crazy!
now it is 538$ for 2 nights😅😅 (may 2024)
Great video, thanks a lot.....
Thanks a million for watching, we are glad you enjoyed it! Barcelona is fantastic, we can’t wait to get back there… but first MEXICO!
Fantàstic vídeo for a Fantàstic City ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! It’s comment like these that keep us motivated to continue posting our travels, Thanks a million!
Thanks for your video. We get off the New Sun Princess March 9 to 11 and your hotel is 147Euros ,I'm stunned at the high Barcelona prices. We found an ok room with a great breakfast for 112 euros walking distance from the Port and right next to the metro obtw metro ticket are twice the cost of Rome and the Catalina churches defiantly pail in comparison of the Roman Bacilics Thanks again 😊 obtw we will go to Ganada next we recommend Granada ❤
Also we would gladly trade Gaudi park for Ciutadella Park !
Does la boqueria take card or is it cash only?
So sorry, we can’t remember the answer to this but we are pretty sure the stalls take credit card. Most things are pretty affordable so even if you only have a few euros you should be able to make some purchases.
Señor Good your espanol es excelente!
🤣still had to use the translate button on this comment!
Do you have Barcelona 30 minutes? Because I have two days to live and I want to spend my last two days in 30 countries.
Oh man! I totally missed the deadline! You will be missed Donny!
When you were at the food market, do you pay with your credit card? If not, how many Euros do you suggest having for touring for a few days? Thanks!
We were able to use our card everywhere in Barcelona even at the food market. We’ve found that since the pandemic cards are in use everywhere including most street vendors. We had some cash on us but did not use any of it. We also prefer to use our card so that we can get points to cash in on flights!
What was the hotel for $65 per night? Everything we looked at was at least $200.
It was Hostemplo but as others have mentioned the price seems to be much more expensive this season. We traveled in January so we think they may have just opened or offering deals. The public transit there is really good so maybe you could find a place 15 minutes out of the central district along a subway line. Good luck and have fun!
Pls send the link of ur hotel!! Is there an elevator?
It was called the Hostemplo Shites and yes they had an elevator.
Check out this place in Barcelona I found: hotels.app.link/2A77rc1AfHb
Hey, i cant seem to find the link for the hotel
I’ll leave the link for you here but just a heads up the price has gone up a ton for that place. I think we scored a major deal when we went!

Thanks 👍 useful for this May with family!😊 Wow
Great! So glad you could find some value in this video. Barcelona was one of our favorite cities we visited on our 100 day journey across Europe, you’re going to have so much fun. We want to go back with a little more time on our hands next time! Cheers!
Just tried La Taqueria… Verified 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! They had some awesome salsas! We spend a ton of time in Mexico so that was a taste of home for sure! Thanks for watching and taking our recommendation! Salud!
Quick question- new to the channel - was the price total for both of you for the restaurant? Thanks!
How to video where they get lost. I don't know if I should trust them
We always find our way eventually
I was glad to see that you were respectful and removed your hat upon entering the church,! I saw it on the shade 👍🏼
I followed the link for the hotel, and the double room is $202Cdn for Oct 2024.
$65.00 for your Hotel? Wow ! Link Please!!
We have a link to our Expedia link in the Bio of the video but that price was January 23’. As other viewers have reported the price was up closer to $140 during peek travel times. We would say that for the location and experience it would be worth that price though.

are you from Mexico?
If you have to buy your tickets ahead of time to Sagrada there is no way you will know if it will be sunny.
😂Lol so true! We were lucky to be able to book ours the same day, and it happened to be sunny.
Nobody calls it Sagrada, it’s Sagrada Familia. Sagrada means sacred
They are definitely called gingerbread houses
Haha no doubt!
Dollars or euros?! Kasper or Kasper?! 😉😉
lol, we go so many places we have this bag full of random currencies and we bring it with us only to find out it’s like $3.56
Hahaha! Too many stairs to nowhere.
lol exactly. Alyssa just kept saying you can see the whole park and eat lunch up here!😂
those prices are like of 2005 loool
We were there in January 2023, a lot had changed since then I guess we just got lucky inflation hadn’t hit them hard yet! Thanks for watching
Please. Restrict tipping to the US. It ruins the travel experience for everyone else.
This makes sense. We try to do as much research as we can to understand when it is appropriate and when it isn’t our apologies if we got it wrong.

Cannot wait for some Seafood Paellas and Sangrias.
why do millenials put the most obnoxious hideous loud music over theri videos?
It’s because our attention spans are so short we need the distraction
Barcelona us not Spain, it's the capital of Catalonia
Thanks for the correction, our bad
@@HeresGoodTravel Not your bad, he´s just delusional. Catalonia IS part of Spain, but there´s a bunch of independentists posting the same thing on UA-cam, ad nauseam. They like to target videos made by foreigners, to cement their international political delusions. Just ask him what his passport says... ;)
Best!
Too many tourists. City is ruined.
Barcelona is sooo meh! Busy dirty with bad food …
